Chapter 12: Stark’s Demise and Fiona’s Aftermath

“You humans are truly despicable! Once you are exhausted and weak, I will surely make you my feast!”

Stark gazed with terror at the approaching magic missiles, attempting to attack and halt them, but Fiona had already descended into a complete frenzy, her state one that would not cease until Stark was dead.

Counterattacking, naturally, was a futile hope; Stark could only endure the relentless assault.

Then, under her terrified gaze, the seemingly weak attack, imbued with a heart-stopping power, struck her body.

It was like being swept away by a vortex; though Stark sustained no fundamental damage, she noticed something alarming.

The divine skill that had always allowed her to survive, the supreme power granted to her by the gods, which had lain dormant within her body, was now slowly fading, on the verge of vanishing entirely.

“What have you done to me! Impossible! This is impossible!”

Stark roared in anguish; ever since the magic missiles had struck, her body, subjected to the Blood Prison’s assault, could no longer recover.

Sword marks etched themselves across her skin, blood began to seep, and her entire form became drenched in crimson.

The middle-aged Branch Captain, who had been observing for a long time, felt his pupils contract.

‘This demon won’t recover anymore? It’s already injured! And its movements are slowing down even faster; the Blood Prison skill’s restrictive power increases with the number of wounds!’

“Damn demon, take another axe blow from me!”

The middle-aged Branch Captain, having long reclaimed his composure, shook off his previous slump.

He poured immense arm strength and surging magic into his axe, letting out a fierce roar.

The horizontal whirlwind reappeared, surging with an unstoppable momentum towards the restrained humanoid demon.

The storm ripped through everything; the demon, whose life had been continuously whittled away by Fiona’s Blood Prison, now suffered another grievous blow from the axe, a massive gash opening directly in the center of its body.

However, due to the significant level difference between the Branch Captain and Stark, the damage he inflicted was far less than Fiona’s.

The Branch Captain’s charged attack delivered roughly the same damage as three seconds of Blood Prison, while Fiona had been using Blood Prison for well over a minute.

As magic steadily depleted, the humanoid demon’s screams gradually diminished.

Until the final sword strike descended, the humanoid demon Stark’s body utterly disintegrated into countless fragments, completely shredded within the sword net of [Blood Prison], its blood staining the ground.

Two days later, in the guild’s infirmary.

Leaf Su sat on the edge of the hospital bed, meticulously peeling an apple with a small knife.

He then slowly brought the peeled apple to Fiona’s lips, feeding her.

At this moment, Fiona bore no resemblance to the terrifyingly violent warrior she had been when battling the demon; she was as docile as a child.
