Chapter 21: Ellis and Meixia’s Roommate Misadventures

“What happened to you two?”

Meixia, carrying her luggage, softly asked Ellis, who was still fuming with barely contained anger.

“He just wasn’t a man when he should have been, and was a man when he shouldn’t have been, forgetting the principle that brothers shouldn’t be taken advantage of!”

Ellis’s words were too profound for Meixia to decipher, so she decided it was best not to dwell on it.

Despite the confusion, Meixia was happy to share a room with Ellis, at least she wouldn’t feel lonely.

“Ellis, do you want to take a bath?”

“You go first.”

Ellis was in a foul mood, and the mention of a bath only added to her irritation. She casually replied, then suddenly her ears perked up as she heard the sound of clothing being removed. A girl with no guards up, undressing right next to her!

Ehh~ Hehehe.

Ellis’s face broke into a lewd smile. Now that she was a girl, she could legally and openly stare at another girl undressing!

She turned her head, and sure enough, Meixia was exposing her upper body without a care, revealing two massive, breathtaking mounds.

Ellis was excited!

Ellis was thrilled!

Then Ellis… deflated. How could she be excited when her brother, who should have been by her side, was gone? Suddenly, everything felt bland and uninteresting.

Meixia noticed Ellis’s stare and felt a blush creeping up her cheeks, but Ellis’s expression quickly shifted from stunned to dejected, leaving Meixia bewildered.

Meixia missed the moment Ellis was excited, so she followed Ellis’s gaze to her own chest and suddenly understood. She then walked up to Ellis, patting her shoulder as she said, “It’s okay, Ellis. Someday, you’ll develop just as well.”

I don’t want to develop like this.

But with Meixia standing there naked, Ellis found it hard to resist, even without her brother.

“Okay, go take your bath. You’ll catch a cold if you stay like this.”

Ellis suppressed a nosebleed and urged Meixia to hurry.

“Mmhm.”

Meixia obediently went into the bathroom. Ellis quickly grabbed some paper to stop the bleeding, her lower half not responding, but her upper half was now flushed. Really, she used to have stronger resistance.

Sigh~ What’s the use of being flushed when the tools are gone?

As Ellis lay on the bed, she finally understood how long women could take in the bathroom. Meixia had been in there for over an hour, and Ellis started to worry, asking if she was okay. Meixia’s energetic “No” came back, full of vitality.

By the time Meixia emerged from the bathroom, wrapped in a towel, Ellis was almost asleep on the bed.

In the past, during these precious moments of leisure, Ellis would play card games with Larry, making up all sorts of wacky rules and punishments, or they’d go out for a late-night snack, living in the moment, or Ellis would ditch Larry to explore the red-light district. Hehehe… What a joke, that’s all over now.

As Ellis was lost in thought, Meixia finally emerged, her body steaming, a look of contentment on her face, and she sighed, “Ah~, that feels so good.”

Ellis couldn’t help but ask, “Meixia, do you always take such long baths?”

“Not really.”

Meixia shook her head. “I used to finish my baths in ten minutes, but after living with Daisy, she criticized my hasty bathing habits and taught me how to take a proper bath and keep my body clean. Hehe, Daisy’s advice is pretty effective, even if it takes a bit longer. Oh, sorry if I kept you waiting.”

“It’s fine, I didn’t have anything else to do. Just curious, how long does Daisy take for a bath?”

“About two hours, I guess.”

Ellis: “…She’s an artist at not passing out in the tub.”

This woman really knows how to indulge herself.

Finally, it was Ellis’s turn. She started to undress, but suddenly paused, looking at Meixia who was combing her hair. In front of a beautiful woman, Ellis felt awkward undressing, even more so than in front of Larry.

Meixia felt a strong gaze fixed on her and curiously turned to see Ellis frozen in the act of undressing.

“What’s wrong, Ellis? Do you need help with something?”

Ellis, embarrassed, replied, “No, it’s just my first time undressing in front of you, and I feel a bit uncomfortable.”

Meixia blinked, realizing Ellis was shy.

“It’s okay, Ellis. We’re both girls. First time’s awkward, but you’ll get used to it. Let me help you.”

Meixia stood up and approached Ellis, who backed away, saying, “No, I can do it myself.”

“Don’t be shy, hehe.”

Before Ellis could protest, Meixia lunged forward, and in a flash, Ellis was pinned to the bed, her clothes stripped off before she could react.

Ellis huddled under the covers, trembling, while Meixia looked at her apologetically.

“Sorry, I got a bit carried away.”

Ellis was caught off guard by Meixia’s fierceness, thinking she had encountered a female pervert. Only after Meixia’s apology did she regain her composure.

“It’s okay, I overreacted. Um, Meixia, you go back to fixing your hair. I’m going to take a bath.”

“Mmhm.”

Seeing Ellis’s shyness, Meixia dared not tease her further and returned to the dressing table. Ellis seized the moment to slip into the bathroom, sinking into the tub of hot water before finally calming down.

The experience had been a disaster for her, the feeling of being overwhelmed and forced to undress was humiliating and uncomfortable.

So, this is what girl talk is like? It’s so different from how boys act.

Ellis didn’t linger, finishing her bath in just ten minutes. She wrapped herself tightly in a towel and emerged, immediately sensing Meixia’s intense gaze.

Ellis remembered Meixia mentioning Daisy’s bathing routine, and a bad feeling crept over her. To prevent things from escalating, she quickly said, “I’m a bit thirsty, I’ll get a drink and be right back.”

Ellis quickly took a sip of water, turning herself into a freshly boiled octopus, before cautiously emerging after half an hour. Meixia was nearby, maintaining her blades.

“Ellis, you’re out too.”

“Yeah, I’m out.”

If she stayed any longer, she’d drown in the tub!

Ellis yawned and lay down on her bed, exhausted from the long soak. She was about to drift off to sleep when a persistent knocking at the door interrupted her.

Ellis asked lazily, “Who is it?”

“It’s me, Larry. I got some information from the Adventurers Guild. Are you two available? I need to talk to you, it’s serious.”

Ellis raised an eyebrow, exchanged a glance with Meixia, and was about to open the door when Ellis stopped her, thinking, “A brother who can’t share trouble isn’t worthy of the perks!”

Then she called out, “Sure, give us a minute.”

Ellis and Meixia quickly dressed, and this time, changing in front of Meixia didn’t faze Ellis.

They arrived at Larry’s room, where he had already set up a table with drinks and snacks from outside.

Once Ellis closed the door, Larry eagerly began, “Daisy is in trouble.”
