Chapter 35: The Arrival of Saint-Tiers

The rightful owners had arrived.

The valiant woman was, indeed, valiant.

Clad in a form-fitting black silk gown, her exquisite figure was perfectly accentuated. A dark fur collar framed her delicate chin, while her long hair cascaded freely to her lower back, exuding an aura of inviolable nobility mixed with alluring sensuality.

The alluring woman was every bit as captivating.

Snow-white cat ears twitched delicately atop her head. She was poised in a slight crouch, a stance that offered an unobstructed view of the generous expanse of her cleavage. Like her counterpart, she wore a taut silk gown, though hers was entirely snow-white, leaving her fair shoulders and slender legs exposed, their pale skin rivalling the silk’s pristine hue.

Embroidered on their cuffs were golden totems, symbols of their Saint-tier status within the [Jiu Hua Alliance]. The valiant woman bore the emblem of a Western dragon, soaring like a bird, while the alluring woman displayed an Eastern dragon, coiled like a serpent. These distinct totems signified their allegiance to different factions.

The moment they appeared, an overwhelming, terrifying Saint-tier pressure blanketed the area. There was no trace whatsoever of them having been sealed away for a hundred years.

A gentle, unseen force cushioned Su Yingning and me, as if we had landed on an air mattress, guiding us safely to the cave floor. To our astonishment, the two swords in our backpacks flew out uncontrollably, soaring towards the two women and circling them with an almost affectionate grace.

“It’s been a long time…”

As they each caressed their swords, a shared look of nostalgia softened the Saint-tier women’s faces, before they exchanged a knowing smile.

“Th-th-this attire… and this incredibly distinct pairing… it’s… it’s the only two female Saint-tier figures mentioned in the world’s lore! Alexia, the Human Saint-tier Sword Saint, and Shirley, the Demon Saint-tier High Priestess, the Catwoman!” Su Yingning stammered, her voice thick with awe, her face alight with the fervent worship of a fan encountering their idol.

Saint-tiers!

These were the ten most powerful individuals in the entire game world!

Every player dreamt of forging even the slightest connection with them. To earn their favor meant that prosperity and success were but a single word away!

Yet, before us, not just one, but two Saint-tier powerhouses had materialized!

Having played games for many years, Su Yingning profoundly understood the immense difficulty of encountering such top-tier NPCs. These supremely powerful beings, devoid of personal desires, were notoriously elusive and disdained any interaction with players. To even catch a glimpse of them, one needed truly heaven-defying luck, triggering a pivotal event capable of swaying the world’s main storyline—a grand incident significant enough to stir even these Saint-tiers who safeguarded the continent’s peace. Otherwise, they would never reveal themselves.

Su Yingning clutched her chest like a flustered, lovesick maiden, barely restraining a shriek of excitement.

Witnessing the little girl’s uncharacteristic loss of composure, I couldn’t help but marvel: ‘Games truly are astonishing.’

Had it not been for this extraordinary journey within the game, I might never have witnessed such an unguarded side of her.

“Adventurers! You’ve done exceptionally well!” Alexia, the valiant woman, declared. “Bardilos is renowned for his cunning; he undoubtedly exhausted every trick to deceive you into drawing the three swords. Yet, you must have seen through his ploy, for when we arrived, we found Bardilos still within his seal, enraged and intent on destroying you… Your composure and quick thinking surpass those of every adventurer I have ever encountered.”

‘Heh, perhaps we’re even cleverer than you imagine…’

Naturally, I kept such thoughts to myself. Both Su Yingning and I gazed up at the two Saint-tier seniors, our faces radiating an aura of virtuous respect.

“These two swords originally belonged to Shirley and me… but since you were the ones to draw them, you may keep them for now. These two children seem quite fond of you both…” With a gentle wave of Alexia’s hand, the ice sword, radiating a chilling white glow, flew back into Su Yingning’s inventory.

“You take this one too… Hmm? I can’t seem to discern your identity… Oh well, never mind.” Shirley pouted and shook her head, making no further inquiry into my identity. With another gentle flick of her wrist, the pink sword returned to my pet inventory.

“Very well, we still have matters to attend to. We shall send you away now. Where would you like to go? Feel free to name any location on the Ardel Continent that possesses a teleportation point,” Alexia, the valiant woman, inquired.

I turned my gaze to Su Yingning; after all, she was the true master here, and I had no right to overstep.

Su Yingning furrowed her brow in thought for a moment. Remaining in the nearby novice village was unequivocally out of the question; if they were to leave, they needed to put significant distance between themselves and this location.

“Zhenxin Village, then,” Su Yingning replied.

“Very well, then… Adventurers, may we meet again. The next time our paths cross, we shall explain precisely what has transpired,” Alexia said, offering us a slight nod.

“Until we meet again, little sisters~” Shirley waved a friendly farewell to us.

The very next second, the scenery before us shifted, revealing Zhenxin Village.
