Fang Han spat on the ground, looking all around for something.
Han Chen stood in the air above, looking down on the scurrying Fang Han with disdain, as if observing an ant.
A throwing blade, seemingly unable to contain its inner impulse, shot straight towards Fang Han to kill him.
Its speed was immense, flickering in and out of sight in the night.
Compared to Fang Han running below, the blade’s speed was far greater.
“Swish~”
Just as the blade was about to sever Fang Han’s neck, Fang Han, who had his back to it, seemed to possess foresight.
He abruptly ducked his head, and the blade flew right over him, his grayish-white hair fluttering in the air.
Fang Han touched the hair on his head and exclaimed, “My luscious hair~ This daddy doesn’t want to go bald at a young age!”
The blade shimmered with an intermittent glow as it circled around Fang Han, slicing and dicing, flying at him from time to time.
Yet, Fang Han managed to perfectly evade every single surprise attack.
Sometimes he even turned back, looking at Han Chen with a face full of provocation, “What’s wrong with you, dude? As a man, how can you not shoot straight~ A guy like me, I hit whatever I aim at, never miss. I think you should just give up on the blades. My neighbor’s kid makes paper airplanes that fly truer than what you throw~”
After speaking, he pointed his middle finger to the sky, making a gesture that all international friends would understand.
Seeing the scurrying ant flash him a provocative gesture, the veins on Han Chen’s temples bulged.
He clenched his jaw and squeezed out, “Hmph~ Quite the mouth on you.”
The other three throwing blades also began to emit a strange light, shooting towards Fang Han, brimming with killing intent.
But Fang Han, who had been running forward this whole time, suddenly stopped.
He looked back at Han Chen in the sky and said, “I, Fang Han, am able to stand here as an Initial Form warrior not because I came to die. As a warrior who came prepared, how could I not have a trick up my sleeve~”
As he spoke, he looked at Han Chen in the sky and suddenly formed his hands into a bizarre seal.
Muttering an incantation, the aura around his body changed abruptly.
A surge of energons roiled within him.
A massive flow of energons rushed through Fang Han’s meridians like a roaring river.
Countless points of light lit up, outlining a strange diagram.
Then he spread his arms, waiting for the blades to strike.
Han Chen, floating in the air, looked at the fearless Fang Han and suddenly felt a sense of unease.
Seeing the four blades about to hit their mark, he abruptly exerted his power.
The four blades made a wide arc in the air, turning back just before Fang Han’s eyebrows, not touching him in the slightest.
“Oh~? What’s wrong? Scared to come at me now? It’s okay, go ahead~”
Seeing Han Chen retract his attack, Fang Han looked up at him with utter contempt.
His eyes were full of scorn, but the cold sweat constantly beading on his forehead seemed to betray something.
‘In reality, Fang Han wasn’t nearly as calm as he appeared on the surface. This move was all for show; his heart was pounding with uncertainty.’
But he definitely couldn’t let his panic show.
Instead, he berated the man in the sky, “What are you looking at up there, your father?! You’re as timid as a mouse just playing with some blades, get your a** down here~ Grandpa will teach you what a real man’s fist-to-flesh brawl is!”
“Don’t just stay up there watching. How about we play some parkour? Your blades can be the monsters chasing me? Don’t worry, I definitely won’t let you stick me. For real.”
Looking at the incessantly chattering Fang Han below, Han Chen truly was tempted to attack.
But on second thought, wasn’t their mission just to stall these three from destroying the altar underground?
Why should he risk his life fighting this kid who looked so strange?
With that thought, Han Chen decided to ignore the foul-mouthed Fang Han below, though the guy was indeed quite annoying.
Fang Han watched in astonishment as the guy in the sky actually took out a pair of headphones from his pocket.
His face wrote displeasure, but inwardly, he was blooming with joy.
He hadn’t expected to so easily tie down a Second Form awakened expert.
‘I’m like a heifer chasing a bull—f*cking awesome!’
Knowing when to quit while he was ahead, Fang Han simply sat down with a slight smirk.
He watched the idiot listening to music in the sky on one side, and the two pairs fighting inextricably on the other.
On one side was a manly brawl of fist-to-flesh combat; on the other, beautifully scattering flower petals.
Looking up at Han Chen in the sky, Han Chen also looked down at Fang Han on the ground.
Neither spoke, both turning their heads to watch the four people locked in combat.
In truth, Qi Yu and Yang An were no match for Liu Zhuang and Shi Yidie.
Looking at the nonchalant Han Chen in the sky, they were so angry they could spit blood.
A few flower petals drifted onto Yang An’s thigh, instantly creating several wounds five to six centimeters long.
At this moment, Yang An’s entire body was densely covered in all sorts of bloody marks.
Yang An roared at Han Chen, “Get your d*mn self over here and help me!”
Han Chen looked into the distance.
Yang An suddenly opened his mouth towards him, seemingly saying something.
Han Chen murmured, “Help?”
But when he saw the strange smile on Fang Han’s face below, the thought of helping was bizarrely suppressed.
Further away, Qi Yu was being schooled up close, blood seeping from all over his body, while Liu Zhuang only had a few cuts on his forehead.
Qi Yu could only feel his internal organs aching in waves, his mind was extremely groggy, and his hands could barely hold his thick staff.
Han Chen watched, making no move to intervene.
‘Better you die than me… I just need to stall. There are only a few minutes left… When you die, I’ll get a bigger share…’
In the pitch-black underground, within the damp and musty air, a boy who looked like a woman—pure yet seductive, innocent yet filled with desire—was rapidly running towards that exceedingly strange, evil altar.
His hand touched a Black Energon Stone.
The stone vanished into the air as if it were a melting liquid, while a huge mass of energons, mixed with a large amount of Life Source Energy, appeared inside Su Xuan’s body.
He reached for the other three stones on the altar.
However, he could only absorb one more.
It was as if he was full; no matter how hard Su Xuan tried, he couldn’t dissolve the remaining two.
‘I can only hide them… but where?’
Hiding them in his pockets would be too easy to discover.
After all, he was only wearing a very short pair of five-point pants, and the pockets weren’t deep.
Suddenly, Su Xuan looked down and touched the chest binder on his chest.
An idea abruptly popped into his head.
Two cold, mahjong-sized Black Energon Stones were squeezed into the already tight binder.
Even with the binder, his chest still had a considerable scale.
Feeling the strange sensation on his chest, Su Xuan’s expression grew a little dazed.
And then, a small piece of the previously unabsorbable Black Energon Stone actually melted, merging into the budding mounds that had just revealed their tiny pointed corners.
Suddenly, the sound of footsteps coming downstairs echoed.
At the same time, there was the tapping of a cane on the ground.
That old man had returned.
