Chapter 53: An Awkward Encounter

“Oh, there’s a beauty~”

Fang Han’s eyes widened as he sized up Su Xuan, his gaze filled with awe.

Such beauty would be among the top tier even in a performance troupe with a high standard for attractive women.

A fair lady is a gentleman’s good match.

A beauty of this level could only be worthy of a genius of his, Fang Han’s, caliber.

He touched his trendy grayish-white hair, but the bloodstains on his clothes and the blood-soaked man on his back made him look less than appealing.

Fang Han glanced disdainfully at his bloodstained jacket and the haggard, nearly-dead Han Chen.

He thought to himself, ‘Looks like I’ve missed another chance to show off in front of a beauty.’

Soon, the group entered the meeting room.

After a few questions, they were told that everything was fine.

Su Chen had matters to discuss with the head of the Investigation Bureau, and Shi Yidie’s eyes were glued to Su Chen, so she followed along.

Su Xuan walked out of the meeting room, along with Fang Han and Liu Zhuang, who were heading to another interrogation room with Han Chen on their backs.

But since they weren’t very familiar, they just nodded, and Su Xuan parted ways with them, heading towards a quieter place to calm down.

Fang Han watched the beauty walk away from him and pleaded with Liu Zhuang to help him watch over Han Chen.

After all, he was still just an Initial Form warrior.

Logically, interrogating a Second Form warrior like Han Chen required another Second Form warrior to be present.

In case Han Chen suddenly went berserk, even in his heavily injured state, he could still cause some harm to others.

So, Liu Zhuang agreed to Fang Han’s request.

After confirming Su Xuan’s location, Fang Han looked at his own bloody and smelly clothes and decided to change.

Under a camphor tree, Su Xuan looked indifferently at the lustful insect who had been sizing him up since they met.

He had a head of non-mainstream “grandma gray” hair and had somehow found the time to change into a formal suit.

Fang Han tugged at his clothes, which he had casually taken from some villa.

He had also taken a shower on the side, washing away all the blood, and approached the beauty with a smile.

Fang Han walked confidently to Su Xuan’s side, flicked his somewhat damp hair, and struck a rather handsome and charming pose in the moonlight.

Su Xuan rolled his eyes and muttered under his breath, “Idiot~”

Although his voice was soft, Fang Han still heard it.

He coughed awkwardly and then said, “This beautiful lady… I am Captain Fang Han, the youngest captain in the Lingnan War Zone of the Huaya Frontline Army. May I ask for your name?”

Excellent men were just that confident.

Fang Han believed that as long as he showed off his excellent credentials, women would flock to him.

It was like that in the performance troupe, and even more so in the rear, where heroes and martial strength were revered.

Su Xuan smiled, and his sweet voice sounded like the most wonderful music in the world to Fang Han.

But the content of his words was so terrifying that it was chilling to think about.

“Hello, I’m Su Chen’s little brother, Su Xuan.”

Fang Han stared blankly at the beautiful girl, rubbing his eyes in disbelief.

Little brother? A boy?!

Fang Han felt that this world must be too crazy, placing the most beautiful figure on a male body.

This was a crime.

The corner of Fang Han’s mouth twitched as he confirmed, “Is that… Lieutenant General Su Chen’s little brother, Su Xuan?”

Su Xuan smiled, “Yes, that’s him.”

Although he couldn’t directly confirm it, Fang Han knew that this was most likely not a joke.

No girl would reject someone by saying she was actually a boy, and it was impossible for an ordinary civilian to know about Su Chen’s arrival.

Fang Han coughed awkwardly a few times and said, “A boy, huh? That’s quite nice too… Um, are you a senior in high school now?”

“Yes.”

Su Xuan looked at the bright moon in the sky and nodded in response.

“Do you have a girlfriend?”

“Not yet.”

“Oh, that’s a pity.”

“Ahaha, right, Liu Zhuang still needs my help with something over there. I’ll get going first.”

Fang Han and Su Xuan exchanged a few words back and forth.

Finally, Fang Han couldn’t take it anymore, really afraid that he would be bent if he stayed any longer.

He found an excuse and slipped away.

Su Xuan’s lips curled up slightly as he watched Fang Han flee in panic.

Although he was a bit tired of this person bothering him because of his beauty, the feeling of teasing people was really quite nice.

Especially seeing the disbelief and disappointment on a boy’s face when he heard that he was also a boy was particularly amusing.

He covered his mouth and chuckled lightly.

As he laughed, he suddenly thought of his older brother, Su Chen.

He had to remember that just over an hour ago, he, Su Xuan, had “made a fool of himself” in front of his brother.

Those little-girl mannerisms and coquettish tone of voice made Su Xuan extremely embarrassed.

The memory was so vivid—Su Chen’s disbelief, the contemplation written on his face, and a trace of pity.

Su Xuan knew that his brother had most likely misunderstood, thinking that he had been exposed to some incredible knowledge in the past five years.

In fact, it was all just an accident.

He, Su Xuan, had no desire to become a girl.

But in his initial contact with Su Chen, he had undoubtedly created such an image for him.

He was his own older brother, who knew him inside and out.

Su Xuan could already guess his brother’s inner thoughts.

“I can’t believe the once so masculine Su Xuan would become like this after growing up.”

“Such a handsome young man, how did he end up like this?”

“Why is Su Xuan acting coquettishly like a girl? Is he really my little brother?”

“How did the once extremely confident and proud young man become so fond of acting cute? And those skilled seductive movements, could it be…”

The more he thought, the redder Su Xuan’s face became.

His flushed cheeks made the distant warriors lose their focus.

If they hadn’t already known, but they hadn’t rashly come over to talk to him like Fang Han did.

After all, there were still many things to do, and they were too busy.

How could they have the time and energy to pick up girls?

What Su Xuan was most worried about now was what he would do if Su Chen decided to stay the night.

That would be so awkward, a complete social death.

He might even be questioned about the reason for his changes.

Should he explain it clearly then?

That because he had a yin-attribute Phantom Soul in his body, and it was the dominant one, he had slowly become more like a girl, but was actually still a boy?

And that everything he had said before was when his mind wasn’t clear?

Su Xuan simulated thousands of scenarios in his mind, just hoping that he wouldn’t be seen as a pervert by Su Chen.
