What in the world is this?!
A sudden jolt ran through Wang Tianming’s mind.
In the realm of a game, a player’s greatest asset typically lies in their intimate understanding of its rules; those unfamiliar with the current game rarely survive unless fortune smiles upon them.
Now, however, the very rules of the game had been drastically altered, and he found himself thrust into a role and position he knew absolutely nothing about.
This sudden shift made the game immeasurably more challenging!
[Item: Angel’s Seed, destroyed. Game rules have been adjusted accordingly and are now published.]
The Destiny Game then delivered another piece of news that infuriated Wang Tianming: his ‘Angel’s Seed’ had been forcibly destroyed by the Destiny System!
[To compensate players holding this item, if said player emerges victorious in this round, they will receive an an additional reward!]
Hearing this, a sliver of relief finally settled in Wang Tianming’s heart.
As long as he could secure a victory, he would at least receive an extra reward.
Surely, whatever the Destiny System offered as compensation would be on par with the Angel’s Seed!
Yet, none of that truly mattered.
Wang Tianming immediately turned his attention to the new game rules published by the Destiny System.
Only by understanding these new regulations could he hope to adapt accordingly.
[New Rules: Rescue or Slaughter.]
[A total of eight players participate in this round, divided into two factions: the Rescue Faction and the Slaughter Faction.]
[Players are categorized into two role types: Human and Hunter.]
[The Rescue Faction comprises four Survivors and one Rescuer.
Within this faction, Survivors are Humans, and the Rescuer is a Hunter.]
[The Slaughter Faction comprises two Destroyers and one Hunter.
Within this faction, Destroyers are Humans, and the Hunter is a Hunter.]
[Humans can decipher ciphers, vault over pallets and windows, drop pallets, enter and exit lockers, search chests, and open gates.]
[Hunters can only vault windows, destroy pallets, open lockers, and attack Humans.]
[Humans possess two health points.
Upon reaching zero health or below, they enter a downed state, where they slowly bleed out.
Hunters can attack Humans, with standard damage being one health point per attack.
Humans can heal other injured or downed Humans, regardless of faction.]
[When a Human is in an interaction state and is hit by a Hunter, they will suffer a ‘terror shock,’ incurring an additional point of damage.]
[Upon successfully attacking a Human, Hunters experience a brief attack recovery period.
Humans struck by a Hunter’s attack gain a short burst of acceleration.]
[Hunters attacking Humans from the same faction will not injure them, nor will the Hunter gain Presence.
However, the Hunter will still undergo attack recovery, and the Human will still benefit from the acceleration effect.]
[Only the Hunter can place downed Survivors onto a sacrifice hook.
Destroyers cannot be placed on sacrifice hooks, nor can Rescuers utilize them.
Survivors on a sacrifice hook will bleed out rapidly; teammates can rescue them.
If the bleeding progress has not exceeded half, being placed on a sacrifice hook again will resume bleeding from half.
If, upon rescue, the progress had already exceeded half, the Survivor will die instantly the next time they are placed on a sacrifice hook, and that specific hook will be automatically rendered unusable.]
[Bleeding progress in the downed state and on the sacrifice hook are calculated separately and do not accumulate.]
[Attacks between Hunters will not inflict damage but will cause the target to enter a brief stunned state, while the attacking Hunter will still experience attack recovery.]
[The talent choices for Destroyers and Rescuers align with those of Survivors and Hunters, respectively.
Talents between Hunters and Humans of the same faction will only yield positive effects.]
[Destroyers possess additional skills distinct from Survivors, namely ‘Destruction’ and ‘Obstruction.’]
[During the character selection phase, players will be informed of their faction, but information regarding other players must be discovered by each player individually.]
[Victory Conditions: There are a total of seven cipher machines on the map.
Deciphering five will allow the main gates to open.
Only Survivors can escape through the main gates.
When two cipher machines have been deciphered, a basement hatch will appear.
When only one Survivor remains on the map, the basement hatch will automatically open, allowing the Survivor to escape through it.
If the final number of escaped Survivors is greater than two, the Rescue Faction wins.
If the number is less than two, the Slaughter Faction wins.
If the number equals two, it is a draw, and the living players win.]
