Chapter 129: Unsteady Morning

“Stop already… I said let go… ngh….”

“Hyung… I love you, hyung….”

“…Ha…”

Not fully in his right mind, Seung-hyuk whispered against the back of Hyun-woo’s neck as he pressed affectionate kisses along his skin.

Hyun-woo tried to recall what happened — he knew he was the one drugged last night, but he couldn’t understand why Seung-hyuk was acting this way.

Could a drug transfer between partners?
That ridiculous thought even crossed his mind.

“I love you… Joo Hyun-woo.”

“…!”

Hearing something Seung-hyuk might have said before the regression, Hyun-woo froze.

His ears flushed red, and he buried his face in the pillow, biting his lip.

Then — embarrassed — he shifted his hips up slightly.

“You… just hurry up and get yourself together already.”

“……”

“Hurry… ah—!”

The small movement, intended as a prompt, made Seung-hyuk react immediately.

He shifted his body, and as he adjusted himself, the pressure that had been lodged in Hyun-woo’s lower abdomen slipped out slightly before pressing forward again.

Warmth that had gathered inside during the night trickled down Hyun-woo’s thighs.

“Ngh, ah… my stomach… feels weird… hff…!”

His abdomen had been heavy all night because Seung-hyuk never fully separated from him even while they slept.

Now, as Seung-hyuk began to move again, the built-up warmth inside him shifted and spilled, making the sensation even stranger.

Each time Seung-hyuk withdrew slightly and then pressed forward, the internal pressure churned the remnants of last night’s drug-induced reaction, creating a dizzying heat inside him.

“Seung-hyuk… stop… my body feels so strange… ah…!”

Then something even stranger happened —

Hyun-woo’s own body reacted involuntarily.

Something at his lower front firmed and swelled slightly in a way Alphas rarely experienced except under extreme stimulation.

It was a mild, involuntary reaction — but noticeable.

The realization made Hyun-woo feel a surge of embarrassment he couldn’t explain.

“Ah… don’t touch… ngh…”

“Hyung… ha… you look so cute like this.”

“Stop talking nonsense… ah—!”

Seung-hyuk brushed a hand over Hyun-woo’s abdomen to check his condition, and Hyun-woo shuddered at the contact.

His body trembled as lingering drug effects triggered an involuntary spasm.

“Haa… hyung, I….”

“What…?”

Hyun-woo, hazy and confused, suddenly felt the pressure in the room change.

Seung-hyuk’s pheromones swelled — intense, overwhelming — and pressed down on him.

At the same time, the entrance of his lower body tightened briefly before loosening from the force.

“Ah—no, Seung-hyuk, don’t— ngh…!”

“Hyung… hyuung…”

“You’re an Alpha—! What Alpha does something like this to another Alpha— ah…!”

That “crazy Alpha” was right behind him.

Still leaning heavily against Hyun-woo, still overwhelmed by instinct, and still releasing wave after wave of oppressive pheromones, unable to restrain himself.

His teeth grazed the back of Hyun-woo’s neck, sending a sharp sting through him.

Hyun-woo trembled violently.

“Hah… I can’t… no more… my stomach feels like it’ll burst….”

“No, it’s fine. You’ll be okay, hyung.”

“No—stop—ahhh—”

Only after a long, unbearable period did Seung-hyuk’s instincts finally settle.

Hyun-woo genuinely wondered if his abdomen was going to rip apart from the pressure.

This idiot.
Doing this kind of thing to another Alpha…
Completely out of his mind — drugged or not.

But Hyun-woo was too exhausted to yell.

He lay there, breathing raggedly, until he felt Seung-hyuk finally pause.

“Hyung…?”

“Ha… you’re seriously…”

“Hyung… I’m sorry. Are you okay?”

“Just… ngh… just get out already…”

“…Okay.”

Flustered, Seung-hyuk pulled himself away carefully.

The pressure inside Hyun-woo eased, but the sudden emptiness made his stomach twist uncomfortably.

“Does it hurt a lot? Hm?”

“Are you insane? Doing something like that first thing in the morning?”

“…Sorry.”

“You—ugh, forget it. I can’t move a finger. Help me sit up.”

“Yes.”

Seung-hyuk quickly held him and helped him upright.

Hyun-woo finally managed to sit on the bed, letting out a long sigh.

“Ha… where are we?”

“We came home.”

“Home? But this isn’t my room—”

“It’s mine. It was closest to the entrance.”

“……”

Hyun-woo’s mind stalled.

He’d crossed what he once thought was a forbidden line — here, in this room — in the most chaotic way imaginable.

He forced himself to regain composure and cleared his throat.

“So… what exactly happened yesterday?”

“You don’t remember?”

“Mm… Cha Kwon-oh and Hwang Do-kyung injected something into my arm, I think…”

After that, his memory was fragmented.

He remembered almost nothing from the moment he was drugged — only bits and pieces from last night with Seung-hyuk.

Hyun-woo’s face reddened again.

“…Ahem.”

“By now, Cha Kwon-oh and Hwang Do-kyung are in custody.”

“What? Really?”

“Yes.”

Seung-hyuk’s voice cooled noticeably.

Hyun-woo blinked, confused.

“Oh, right… the drugs. Those two were running the operation at Blackbird.”

Blackbird Gate — the scandal that erupted disastrously in the previous timeline.

Drugs, illegal recordings, corruption — and the real operators had been those two.

Hyun-woo shuddered remembering the revelation.

“We were able to report the address thanks to your last message.”

“I see…”

He had sent the address to Seung-hyuk on impulse, then deleted the message.

Good thing he did — Do-kyung had taken his phone and checked it.

“Don’t worry about the aftermath. Chief Kang handled everything. No one else will know you were ever at that club.”

“……”

Seung-hyuk spoke stiffly — controlled, but with anger simmering underneath.

Hyun-woo hesitated before asking:

“Did… something happen at the club? To me?”

“……”

Seung-hyuk didn’t answer.

Then, after a moment, he looked at Hyun-woo and smiled faintly.

“No. Nothing happened.”

“…Really?”

“Yes. You were too out of it from the drug. We couldn’t take you to the hospital, so I brought you home. The drug had some side-effects, so last night you and I… ended up…”

“Ah.”

Hyun-woo finally understood why they ended up together — and remembered that he had initiated a kiss during the haze.

It was essentially an accident caused by the drug.

“Well… anyway… thanks. For saving me.”

“Of course. I had to.”

“And… ngh—”

He wanted to say, let’s forget what happened — chalk it up to an accident.

But his body hurt so badly he couldn’t even sit straight without groaning.

Seung-hyuk quickly steadied him.

“Hyung, I’ll help you today.”

“But—”

“You overexerted yourself because of me. Please let me help.”

“…Fine.”

He couldn’t refuse.

Seung-hyuk smiled brightly and supported him gently.

Hyun-woo looked away awkwardly.

This much… was fine.
He did need help, after all.

Trying to convince himself, Hyun-woo leaned into Seung-hyuk’s support.

10장. 예상치 못한 일 (Chapter 10 — Unexpected Events)

Some time later, the Blackbird Gate scandal exploded nationwide.

Unlike before the regression, this time the true ringleaders were captured, making the incident even more sensational.

No one had expected that an L&S executive was behind the illegal entertainment, drugs, and recordings.

News spread daily, overshadowing the product announcement L&S had been pushing.

That project had been Cha Kwon-oh’s scheme anyway — based on stolen Moonseong data — so the company could no longer push it forward.

Meanwhile, internal testimonies about Cha Kwon-oh’s abuse of power surfaced.

His father, the chairman of L&S, immediately disowned him, cutting ties.

He wouldn’t spend money to protect an illegitimate son whose name was now infamous nationwide.

As time passed, things slowly returned to normal.

Misunderstandings about Seung-hyuk were cleared.

It was revealed that another employee had leaked information, and Hyun-woo called Seung-hyuk back to the office immediately.

“There were some unfortunate incidents, but I hope we all continue to work well together.”

“Yes, Branch Manager.”

Some employees were still wary of Seung-hyuk, but none were openly hostile anymore.

Everyone now knew the truth.

Even Hyun-woo felt embarrassed for having doubted him.

Finally, when they were alone, Hyun-woo asked the question he had held back for a long time:

“Hey… that night, who were you talking to on the phone at dawn?”

“At dawn?”

“Yeah.”

It had been one of the reasons Hyun-woo nearly misunderstood him.

He hadn’t been able to ask then — but now he could.

“Oh.”

Thinking for a moment, Seung-hyuk opened his mouth, remembering something.
