Chapter 153: The Need Between Them

“Why did you come so fast?”

“Of course I left early because I missed you.”

“…….”

A refreshing scent drifted from Seunghyuk as he hugged him.

Hyunwoo couldn’t deny how good it felt to breathe in Seunghyuk’s pheromones again after so long.

Before he even realized it, he lifted his arms and embraced Seunghyuk back.

“How’s school?”

“I handled everything properly.”

“Hm….”

The answer was suspicious, but he had no way to press further.

Since his employment at Munseong was already secured, his grades didn’t matter much as long as he graduated.

Knowing Seunghyuk’s personality, he would’ve taken care not to let any problems arise.

Hyunwoo dropped the suspicion and nodded.

They were only apart for three days, yet his body felt it had been much longer.

His helplessly weak limbs proved it.

“…Let’s go inside first.”

“Okay.”

Seunghyuk nodded, accepted the keycard from Hyunwoo, and opened the door.

There was no strange presence around them yet, but they still had to be cautious.

Hyunwoo’s sudden move to the U.S. had thrown politics, business, and the media into chaos.

Chairman Joo Munhyuk tried to calm things by insisting it was nothing important, but suspicions continued to spread.

Eventually, some reporters even followed him to America.

At that point, they weren’t journalists — they were paparazzi.

Hyunwoo let out a hollow laugh, remembering how he had already changed hotels several times after arriving.

“Aren’t you tired?”

“I’m fine.”

“The jet lag must be rough.”

“…….”

Seunghyuk had lived in the U.S. since childhood.

His adoptive parents had established themselves there early on.

But unlike Hyunah, who was a mathematician, Seunghyuk pursued programming and eventually moved to Korea alone for university.

Sometimes, traces of American mentality showed through in him — the unwillingness to share emotions, the tendency to be alone.

Of course his nature played a role too, but Hyunwoo was reminded of it at times.

“If you keep being stubborn, you won’t be able to sleep tonight.”

“…….”

Hyunwoo had already been in the U.S. for three days and still couldn’t adjust to the time difference.

Texas was fifteen hours behind Korea.

Evening in America meant morning in Korea.

His body clock was still set to Korea, so falling asleep at the right time was almost impossible.

“I’ll endure it now and sleep at night.”

“Hm… do that then.”

“And if I force myself to sleep at night even when I’m tired, I’ll adjust faster.”

“Really?”

“Yes.”

True — Seunghyuk traveled between the U.S. and Korea far more often than Hyunwoo.

He’d know about jet lag adjustment best.

Hyunwoo nodded.

“Then should we eat first? You’re hungry, right?”

“Hyung.”

“Hm?”

Hyunwoo turned his head without thinking.

And Seunghyuk, hugging him from behind, lowered his face and kissed Hyunwoo’s cheek.

Smooch.

“…….”

“Didn’t you miss me, hyung?”

Seunghyuk asked while looking down at Hyunwoo’s frozen face.

Hyunwoo stiffened entirely.

He still couldn’t get used to Seunghyuk’s sudden physical affection.

After returning to the past, Seunghyuk had certainly changed, but he never acted this clingy.

Now it was as if a dam had burst inside him — his pent-up feelings overflowing intensely.

“…I missed you.”

“Really?”

“Yeah.”

“Not just because of the pheromones?”

“…….”

Why was he being so relentless?

Hyunwoo looked at him with disbelief.

Seunghyuk’s unwavering eyes searched his face closely.

“What are you talking about? Of course I need your pheromones.”

“But that’s not all you need from me, right?”

“Ha….”

He was unbelievably stubborn today.

Maybe he was too tired to think clearly.

Frowning, Hyunwoo ruffled Seunghyuk’s hair with his hand.

“Fine. I need you too.”

“Hyung….”

“…….”

At his touch, Seunghyuk closed his eyes as if pleased.

Hyunwoo stroked his hair, feeling something unfamiliar settle in his chest.

Was he always this affectionate?

Every time Hyunwoo saw this side of him, it felt like discovering a new Seunghyuk.

“Release more pheromones.”

“…Tch. You always say that.”

“Hey, hurry up.”

Though he pouted, Seunghyuk obediently released his pheromones.

The refreshing scent washed over Hyunwoo again.

It was undeniable — Seunghyuk’s pheromones were what stabilized Hyunwoo’s unstable body.

His severe early pregnancy nausea disappeared quickly, and his pheromone levels normalized too.

Without Seunghyuk’s help, the doctors would’ve insisted he not carry the child to term.

Hyunwoo let out a satisfied smile as he soaked in the pheromone shower.

“I want to smell hyung’s pheromones too.”

“…….”

As if that were possible.

After becoming an omega, Hyunwoo’s pheromone output dropped even lower than that of a weak alpha.

He was basically a beta at this point — and yet still pregnant, so his omega functions worked in their own way.

Occasionally, when he was in good condition, his pheromones would leak, but normally it was like a tightly shut faucet.

And today was no exception.

“Ha… hyung.”

“Hm—”

Unexpectedly, Seunghyuk kissed him.

Being this physically close after three days apart, it was natural he would get excited.

He probably also hoped that sexual arousal would trigger Hyunwoo’s pheromones.

The kiss itself wasn’t bad.

Soft lips gently sucked on Hyunwoo’s lower lip.

Hyunwoo didn’t resist and parted his lips.

“Hngh… mm…”

“Mm….”

As if he had been waiting, Seunghyuk’s tongue slipped in.

Hot and pliant, it explored every corner of Hyunwoo’s mouth.

Breathless, Hyunwoo turned fully to wrap his arms around Seunghyuk’s neck.

Parched for touch, Seunghyuk devoured Hyunwoo’s lips and tongue.

The wet sounds of their tongues meeting echoed embarrassingly loud.

Even when Hyunwoo pulled back to breathe, Seunghyuk chased him persistently.

“Haa… hyung… hyuung…”

“Hngh— slow… down…”

He tried to stop him, but of course Seunghyuk didn’t listen.

Normally he acted overly obedient to the point of feeling guilty… but at times like this, he was ruthlessly aggressive.

After having his tongue sucked almost raw, Hyunwoo felt a stinging pain and frowned.

The shocking part was that despite the pain, he was getting more excited.

“Haa… hyung’s pheromones… feel good.”

“Ugh….”

Hyunwoo’s tightly suppressed pheromones began to spill.

Seunghyuk buried his nose in Hyunwoo’s neck like a hound, sniffing eagerly.

He lifted Hyunwoo’s shirt collar and licked the skin.

Hyunwoo clenched his teeth, holding back a groan.

“Don’t leave too many marks.”

“No one can see here.”

“Still… ngh…”

“Who would you show it to?”

“…….”

He asked insistently.

Hyunwoo had only said it out of caution — but now it came back to choke him.

“There’s no way I— ugh!”

Seunghyuk bit down on his neck irritably.

The pain was sharp, incomparable to being licked.

Hyunwoo grimaced and pushed him away.

“That hurts!”

“…How were the people you met today?”

“What?”

“You delayed going to work because of jet lag, so today was your first day, right? Was anyone more handsome than me?”

“Ha….”

Seunghyuk’s eyes gleamed as he questioned him yet again.

His dark brown eyes looked disturbingly intense.

Hyunwoo thought he was getting better after they both returned to the past and Hyunwoo accepted his proposal.

The nightmares had decreased.

He stopped calling Hyunwoo obsessively like a debt collector whenever he didn’t answer the phone.

Hyunwoo thought he was stabilizing.

But he still obsessed over such trivial things.

Hyunwoo clicked his tongue and met his eyes.

“No. You’re the most handsome. The prettiest.”

“…Really?”

“Of course.”

“…….”

That much was the truth.

If not, why would he have chased him so desperately in the past?

Hyunwoo let out a faint laugh at the blurred memories.

Yet Seunghyuk still didn’t look satisfied.

Of all things, he should’ve had more confidence in that face.

Hyunwoo clicked his tongue again.

“You’re not lying?”

“I said yes. And I’m pregnant with your child now — how could I have wandering eyes?”

“…….”

He meant it to reassure him, but instead, Seunghyuk’s eyes darkened dangerously.

Hyunwoo watched nervously.

“Ah!”

“You’re not sleeping tonight.”

“Hey— put me down!”

Seunghyuk lifted Hyunwoo into his arms and strode forward.

As he carried Hyunwoo past the entrance and into the bedroom, Hyunwoo panicked.
