[Advancement Quest]: The Skyfiend Dragon’s Egg
Quest Objective: Journey deep into the Ancient Forest, to the Seven Peaks, to find the last remaining egg of the Skyfiend Dragon race. Incubate it, and rewards will be granted based on the incubation time.
Upon seeing this quest, Zhang Luan didn’t hesitate for a moment. He immediately used a Quest Completion Card.
It was a preposterous task, clearly not meant to be completed. While the Skyfiend Dragon race indeed possessed an egg—someone in his previous life had discovered it in the Seven Peaks—it had shown no signs of hatching even until Zhang Luan’s rebirth.
He harbored no illusions about possessing any egg-hatching talent; he wasn’t a chicken, after all. Even if he did, he wasn’t willing to wait an eternity for it.
However, the quest did serve as a reminder: an egg still awaited him in the Seven Peaks. Even if it couldn’t be hatched, it would make a fine collectible.
Moreover, other treasures left behind by the Skyfiend Dragon race surely lay hidden there. As an ancient behemoth, the Skyfiend Dragon race would have left behind numerous precious items, even if only a single egg remained.
Yet, there was no rush. Akamana City hadn’t been thoroughly plundered by him yet, and the depths of the Ancient Forest were exceedingly perilous, with treacherous paths.
He would simply wait for the players to arrive, letting those adorable little troublemakers clear the way for him. A meager reward would be enough to keep them delighted for half a day.
One thing he hadn’t anticipated was how different this was from his previous life. Back then, all players’ advancement quests were identical: defeat and kill someone a tier higher than themselves.
That was a far more impossible task. In comparison, hatching an egg seemed almost manageable.
With the Quest Completion Card used, the advancement quest concluded. Zhang Luan felt an immediate surge of clarity in his mind.
It was at this moment that the system’s voice resounded.

[Abomination]: Allows the use of Aberrant Crystals. Life form changes, allowing the transplantation of partial body parts from units no more than 25 levels higher than oneself, gaining some of their abilities. Intelligence reduced by 40%, Strength reduced by 20%.
A long string of data cascaded before Zhang Luan’s eyes. He gazed at the three talents and, without hesitation, chose the second one.
While each talent had its merits, only ‘Dream Weaver’ truly suited him.
The ‘Dragon Body’ was undeniably powerful, capable of instantly transforming his fragile physique into one that could both fight and endure. Yet, the cost was the loss of his other abilities.
Even with Dragonic Magic and Dragon Form as compensation, it simply wasn’t enough to sway him. He would never abandon his Ultimate Psion abilities for mere Dragonic Magic.
As for the third talent, it was even less appealing. This advancement talent had only appeared because he possessed an Aberrant Crystal. The thought of using others’ body parts, even for rapid power gain, filled him with disgust.
Though the second talent, [Dream Weaver], didn’t boast particularly flashy attributes, its Intelligence bonus scaled with level. From a long-term perspective, this talent was undoubtedly the strongest.
Upon selecting [Dream Weaver], Zhang Luan felt a tingling sensation spread through his brain, followed by an immense, blissful comfort. A contented smile graced his lips as he lay back on the bed, eyes half-closed.
After a long while, he finally stirred, rubbing his slightly flushed face and taking a few deep breaths to calm himself.
“This feels incredibly good. Why didn’t I feel this before? Is it because I completed the advancement at Level 15? Oh, right, what were my advancement quest rewards again?”
Opening his panel, he sought to examine his rewards. His eyes instantly lit up when he saw the name [Bow of World’s End]. Such a majestic name hinted at a legendary item, at the very least, and it was a bow—precisely what he desired most.
As he claimed the reward, a terrifying aura pressed in on him from all directions. In a trance, he seemed to witness the end of worlds, a horrifying spectacle that sent shivers down his spine.
When he came to, a dark red longbow floated in mid-air. Black and red currents of electricity crackled around its body, creating incessant popping sounds. This was clearly no ordinary item.
Zhang Luan grasped the bow, and its information immediately materialized before him.

Description: Let the world end, hahahahaha!!! Alright, not yet. Her power is sealed. Perhaps finding a World’s End Starstone can restore her? But would her restoration truly be a good thing?
Cannot be equipped before advancement.
Cannot be detached once bound.
Zhang Luan’s mouth twitched slightly as he observed the bow’s stats. This Mythic item seemed to possess an excessively high degree of grandeur; the phrase ‘World’s End’ alone sounded terrifying.
Unlike the Chaotic Wheel, which demanded his life force, this bow had no negative side effects whatsoever. It was a pure, unadulterated boost to his combat power.
Each of its switchable forms offered incredibly useful and potent attributes. Whether it was lifesteal and bleeding, or mana absorption and suppression, both perfectly complemented his abilities.
Combined with the 100% casting speed for all bow skills, calling it ‘invincible’ would be no exaggeration.
“This is absolutely incredible!”
Zhang Luan fiddled with the longbow. The red and black currents prickled his hand, not painfully, but with a peculiar sense of comfort.
“His Highness, the Saint Son, are you asleep?”
Just as he was about to test out its form-switching capabilities, the voice of the maid who had earlier tempted him drifted in from outside the door.
