“Ah, ah!”
“Don’t go anywhere without me.”
Adrian vanished after leaving a farewell kiss on Sena’s cheek.
Inside the empty room.
Left all alone in the safehouse, Sena was in a state she was terrified of anyone seeing.
Her ivory naked body, exposed to the bright daylight, ebbed and flowed in soft waves, and the handcuffs fixed to the bed headboard clanked relentlessly along with it.
Her flushed chest, completely scattered as her body tossed and turned, burst into full bloom.
With no watching eyes left, Sena forgot even her shame and spread her legs wide open, but the fountain pen stuck down below viciously kept vibrating at a constant speed alone.
She needed something bigger and thicker.
She groaned while rubbing her chest against the bedsheet.
The climax piling up layer upon layer felt as though she were barely dipping a foot into the surging ocean shore.
This time, she tried twisting and crossing her legs.
The fountain pen dug in a bit deeper, but even so, her thirst remained unquenched.
“Haaangh… ah…”
It was a torture-like ecstasy.
A place 27 days by transport ship and 27 minutes by warp gate away from Adrian Blake’s mansion.
A dazzling flash blinked and spat out a human figure.
Adrian naturally checked his attire and stepped out of the light.
It was his signature cybernetic technique.
27 seconds.
Adrian took out his pocket watch to check the time and snapped the cover shut with a click.
He was not late.
Before him, a dazzlingly bright glass dome wrapped around the ground as if embodying the celestial sphere on earth.
Inside it, buildings such as residential quarters, control towers, and pavilions for the council were loosely erected.
— Crackle… static… [Euclid]-class entity approaching…
An operator’s urgent voice caught in his ears, which possessed sharper hearing than ordinary humans.
Adrian casually stretched out his long legs and began walking toward the dome.
The World Bureau of Special Crime Investigation by official name, though nobody called it that, a place simply called the Special Bureau.
Humanity’s advance base observing every danger in the world.
That place was precisely the Special Bureau.
And Adrian was the face of the Special Bureau.
More accurately, he used to be.
The tall, slender, handsome man with ash-gold hair standing in front of the Special Bureau stood out exceptionally well.
A crowd gradually began to gather.
Journalists wandering around the Special Bureau like hyenas chasing a scoop watched him with glittering eyes, but soon lowered their cameras with disappointed faces when they failed to see a certain dark-haired woman from the same industry.
Everyone had faces itching to talk due to the scandal.
However, journalists, colleagues, clerks, tourists, and everyone else could not approach closer than a certain distance as if there were an invisible line.
Such was the nature of Adrian Blake’s reputation—brilliant, yet intimidating.
Selena Han was the sole exception.
A faint smile that seemed on the verge of laughter formed around his mouth.
At the same time, his wrist burned hot as if scorched by fire.
— Are you staging a protest, Blake?
When the message sounded from the communication stone on his wrist as he stood in front of the glass dome for a moment, Adrian set off his steps.
“As if, Deputy Director.”
He was thinking of something entirely different.
To be more precise, he was thinking of Sena.
Every time Adrian passed by, the crowd split in two.
Even amidst a vulgar scandal, the admiring gazes and strange sense of distance remained unchanged.
Indeed, Sena, who treated him without reserve, was unique.
Coming to that conclusion, he carelessly tagged his access card.
When he flashed a casual smile at the clerk managing the entry, the clerk turned his face away with a flush.
Even while doing so, his mind was filled with filthy recollections.
Since she took all of his magic into her body, she shouldn’t lack stamina, but still, would it have been better to prepare something so she could at least eat?
Was leaving her bound up taking it too far…?
While crossing the Special Bureau lost in such idle thoughts.
The lights above his head flickered out with a pop.
Before long, starting from where he stood to the far end of the hallway, the lamps flickered out in order.
It was like a scene out of a horror movie, but Adrian, who was as accustomed to it as could be, folded his arms and watched the darkness.
Soon, a group of people sprang out from the shadows.
They were investigators wearing the same black uniform as his.
Except for the one taking the lead, all the investigators saluted Adrian and lowered their hands.
It was the courtesy paid to the owner of the Medal of Military Merit.
However, Adrian merely nodded with an expressionless face.
As if somewhat unsatisfied, a razor-sharp momentum pressed down upon them.
Sensing the unusual aura, the investigators turned deathly pale.
Right then, a chilly voice broke the silence.
“Adrian Blake.”
It was the investigator standing at the lead.
She was a woman with dark red hair like a rose tied up high into a single ponytail.
Before long, her face crumpled slightly upon seeing Adrian’s ungloved right hand.
She was the Special Bureau’s Deputy Director and the Emperor’s Executioner.
Sandria Oslo.
Deputy Director Sandria issued a cold, stern verdict without taking her hand off the scabbard at her waist.
“You will have to justify your absence for the past 24 hours.”
As soon as the Deputy Director’s words fell, Adrian was moved to an interrogation room under surveillance disguised as an escort.
Because being treated like a half-criminal in itself was such a heavy thing, the investigators all read his reactions nervously.
Yet he himself had no complaints.
So he sat down obediently in the interrogation room chair.
The interrogation room was a space even more cramped than the room he had been in with Sena.
However, Adrian knew that there was a wider space behind the mirror filling an entire wall of the interrogation room.
He stared for a moment as if piercing through the people on the other side of the mirror, then dropped his gaze downward.
Other investigators watching this groaned faintly.
Resting his chin on one hand as if bored, Adrian Blake looked like a sun god straight out of a sacred painting.
His faded ash-gold hair burned brilliantly as it caught the light of the interrogation room lamp, and his pale cheeks shone transparently as if carved out of quartz.
He shone flawlessly inside the gloomy interrogation room.
Just like an angel tortured inside a demon’s den.
That must be why.
The investigator watching over Adrian Blake talked to him without realizing it.
“Senior.”
Though it was a low call like a whisper, Adrian keenly noticed it.
It was an investigator who usually followed him well.
Was his codename Colt?
Recalling that much, he gave a slight nod.
Colt, who hesitated for a moment, called out to him once again.
“Senior, how on earth did it come to this?”
That was the question everyone in this room wanted to ask.
Adrian Blake’s bizarre behavior.
It was an opportunity to confirm the reason behind it.
The gazes of the investigators scattered throughout the interrogation room instantly snapped toward him, then returned to normal upon seeing suspicious static sparks flying around Adrian.
If he didn’t answer clearly here, malicious rumors about Sena were bound to spread.
If it’s a reason, then after all…
Adrian pondered for a moment before answering.
“Because I love her?”
“Ugh.”
Colt grimaced with a look as if he had chewed on something nasty.
“That’s not what I mean. Oh, of course, you must have done it because you love her, but…”
At that explicit reaction, Adrian let out a laugh out loud.
It was not a particularly pleasant tone.
“Then am I not even allowed to fall in love?”
The words that popped out next were far too unexpected to come from that textbook-strict Adrian Blake, making Colt almost bite his tongue.
“I’m telling you, that’s not what I mean.”
A sigh spilled out on its own.
What he wanted to say was a huge rudeness, yet it was something someone had to remind Adrian of regardless.
Colt checked the Deputy Director standing beyond the mirror, pretending not to notice even while knowing they were having a conversation.
And after much deliberation, he whispered as if confiding a secret.
“Senior… you are a [Euclid]-class observation subject, aren’t you?”
