You witnessed the entirely one-sided scene of retaliation unfold before his eyes.
For You, who had meticulously prepared a dramatic spectacle, no moment could be more infuriating than this one.
(Whispering) “This isn’t how it was supposed to go…”
You had originally envisioned a very particular scene for himself.
In the carefully orchestrated narrative, he was meant to display his formidable prowess, making a grand, heroic entrance precisely when his sister faced cruel torment.
He was supposed to be the protective elder sibling, the one who would mercilessly pummel those villagers.
He was supposed to be the comforting figure his sister would instinctively lean into.
So what exactly was happening now?
Why had some insolent newcomer abruptly appeared, utterly stealing the spotlight that was rightfully his?
Any flicker of gratitude for this person protecting his sister was utterly absent from the depths of You’s heart.
You could only conclude that this individual was meddlesome, an unbearable obstruction, and utterly deserving of death!
Currently, You remained concealed in the shadows, unseen by anyone.
Yet, even from his hidden vantage point, he yearned to see the detested individual perish right before his eyes.
To that end, he violently hurled the coffee cup clutched in his hand to the ground.
Amidst the escalating clamor of the scene, the delicate shatter of the cup went largely unnoticed.
However, to the ears of the battle-hardened elite knights, that subtle sound was a clear signal, a command to formally initiate their assigned actions.
In the now thoroughly disrupted plan, the knights were originally meant to emerge abruptly as bodyguards, intervening only when demons began their assault on the village.
Yet, at this precise moment, no substantial demonic force had materialized.
The knights’ revised directive was simply to confront Wang, to target a single individual with an overwhelming numerical superiority!
The very next instant, Wang sensed something rapidly approaching her.
As she instinctively looked up, a colossal black object hurtled through the air, aimed directly at her head.
Having anticipated the black object’s trajectory, Wang calmly executed a half-pivot on the spot, allowing the projectile to whiz past her face.
Once the black object struck the ground, Wang discerned it was a massive, round hammer, half-embedded in the earth.
The hammer itself was broad and ponderous, its surface emblazoned with red and black patterns, and a heavy iron chain, over two meters in length, trailed from its end.
From within the now-breached house, a massive figure clad in heavy armor slowly emerged.
Upon realizing his initial strike had failed, the giant swung an arm, effortlessly scooping up the round hammer that had landed moments earlier.
The giant hooked the chain with his fingers, gripping it with a powerful surge of strength that sent the hammer whirling and swinging under his masterful control.
Without a word exchanged, the colossal hammer, capable of shattering iron, once more hurtled towards its intended target.
In response, Wang pushed off with both feet, leaping upward. Her legs, held together, briefly left the ground, suspending her half a meter above the hammerhead.
The instant the colossal hammer swept past, missing its mark and continuing in a straight line, the giant man flicked his wrist, abruptly altering the hammerhead’s trajectory.
No longer traveling straight, the hammerhead flipped upwards, its immense power whipping the air into a vortex as it savagely slammed towards its prey.
Still suspended in mid-air, Wang seized the moment, twisting her body. Her right leg straightened, while her left leg lashed out, initiating a rapid, spiraling rotation.
Wang’s extended left leg did not connect with the hammerhead; instead, it reached forward, deftly hooking the chain.
As Wang exerted force with her leg, the chain coiled around her thigh three times, adhering closely to the edge of her trousers.
Just as Wang descended back to the ground, before her feet could even touch, she abruptly reversed the orientation of her head and legs.
Adopting an inverted stance, Wang slammed a single fist into the ground beneath her. The resulting rebound force propelled her left leg into a furious, high-speed spin.
Like a top spinning on the ground, Wang pressed both palms against the solid earth, her rotating leg now dictating the hammerhead’s trajectory.
Even as the giant man desperately tried to grasp the chain with both hands, he watched in immediate disbelief as his weapon swiftly slipped from his palms.
The chain, now drawing closer to Wang, began to spin in the opposite direction, revolving with increasing frequency and accelerating speed, until a sudden moment later!
Crack!
Wang executed a swift flip, righting herself with head and hands upward, and snatched the chain from the air as it detached from her thigh.
The colossal hammer, now a weapon in Wang’s command, was swung with unrestrained power. The hammerhead, its target shifted, whistled through the air, hurtling towards the giant man’s chest.
Bang!
The sickening crack of bone and a pained shriek resonated simultaneously. As the giant’s massive form toppled backward, Wang showed no signs of relenting.
Cai, who had been kept at a safe distance throughout, watched the young woman before her. A smile played on Wang’s lips, and her eyes, alight with a frenzied glint, commanded the weapon to smash down with full, unbridled force.
“Come on, you cowards, you’re all just bullies who prey on the weak. Weren’t you having a grand time being the aggressors just now? Come closer, I dare you! Get even closer to me!”
The more lighthearted a person usually appeared, the more utterly ruthless they became when serious or enraged.
Anyone caught in Wang’s gaze could not escape the heavy hammer’s brutal judgment. Any house she deemed an inconvenience was ruthlessly and utterly torn asunder.
Tiles soared through the air, while villains tumbled across the ground.
To Wang, this was precisely how things should be; this was the only scene she would permit.
The remaining knights, who had previously been observing, now completely shed their contempt. One by one, they emerged from the houses that had not yet collapsed.
Naturally, some had managed to flee just moments before their homes crumbled.
The elite knights, having formed their battle array, immediately launched a full-scale, concerted assault!
One knight advanced on Wang, his greatsword held horizontally, before bringing the weapon down in a devastating, mountain-splitting slash.
The instant he moved, the sword’s shadow instantly trebled in size, forming a massive, multi-meter-long blade of pure energy that descended without mercy.
With one arm around Cai, Wang deftly sidestepped, causing the sword’s overwhelming strike to miss its mark entirely.
The innocent ground roared instantly under the impact; the descending sword-shadow struck like a meteor, sending dust and stones soaring several meters high.
A gash two to three meters deep was carved into the earth, its sheer destructive power eliciting screams of terror from the nearby villagers.
Having rendered the enemy’s attack utterly ineffective, Wang deliberately turned and closed the distance.
Before the knight could even attempt to retract his greatsword, Wang’s raised knee connected squarely with his breastplate.
Stabilizing his body was an impossible feat. The knight’s chest armor shattered on impact, and he was sent instantly flying backward.
Wang had no concern for whether her opponent lived or died.
Just as a flicker of boredom crossed her mind, two silently approaching knights, blades drawn, lunged at her from both the left and right.
The two assailants attacked with savage ferocity, their sabers glinting with a chilling light, each intending to sever her head in an instant.
Yet, Wang’s movements consistently outpaced her adversaries. Before their blades could even draw close, she launched a swift kick.
The sole of her shoe connected precisely with the arm of the knight on her left.
This sudden counterattack caused the knight’s outstretched arm to snap instantly at the joint.
Wang’s left hand darted out, seizing the saber that the enemy, writhing in pain, could no longer grip. With a practiced flick of her wrist, she unleashed its sharp edge.
The knight, a gash now carved across his abdomen, inevitably toppled to the ground.
The colossal hammer, naturally, also served its purpose.
The knight on the right, foolishly believing he could seize an opportunity for a sneak attack, was met head-on by the massive, whistling hammer.
Caught completely off guard by the sudden counterattack, the man plummeted headfirst to the ground!
