X
The kingdom soldiers had yet to realize what had transpired when astonished roars erupted from the demonic ranks opposite them:
“Killed! The Boss killed two prominent enemies!”
At these words, the kingdom soldiers’ expressions contorted into utter terror, as if they had seen a ghost.
Killed.
These two simple words carried a weight that struck a devastating blow to the morale of the allied forces.
These were two ‘City-Toppling’ super-experts!
When campaigning against smaller nations, commanders of such caliber could often conquer cities single-handedly, or even force an enemy kingdom to surrender through their presence alone.
Yet, such formidable powerhouses had fallen without a doubt in mere seconds, and not just one, but two of them.
1The soldiers stared at the young woman who had slain the two, wondering if she wasn’t even younger than themselves.
How could such a youthful maiden extinguish lives with such terrifying speed?
A widespread chill of dread seized the soldiers!
This was no mere exaggeration; a genuine coldness emanated from within their bodies, spreading like frigid air, instantly freezing them to the core.
Had the remaining Legion Commanders not decreed that retreating deserters would face military tribunal, half of these hundreds of thousands might have fled on the spot.
As the Legion Commanders strained to rally their subordinates, Wang halted her advance.
Turning her back to the demonic host, Wang declared in a sharp, resonant voice:
“If none offend me, I offend none; but if one seeks my death, I shall ensure theirs first!”
This short declaration completely reassured the demonic horde.
Having received their Boss’s tacit ‘permission to strike,’ they no longer needed to heed the ‘no harm’ rule, and decisively unleashed their full power.
“No one is allowed to underestimate us!”
“Let the enemy know our might!”
“Everyone, follow the Boss!”
The morale of the thousands of demons was fully mobilized.
As the core leader of these subordinates, Wang remained at the very front of the formation, initiating the charge with her own actions as she plunged headlong into the boundless enemy lines.
At the very rear of the demonic ranks, a young woman who had never experienced battle before also prepared herself for combat.
This maiden was Cai.
Due to the considerable distance, You could not see his sister.
This rather unseemly brother was, at present, solely focused on how to bring about the demise of those he detested.
As for Cai, even less needed to be said.
She had no idea her brother was still alive; her mind was entirely preoccupied with how to assist Wang.
Now, the siblings, harboring disparate thoughts, began to play their respective roles on the battlefield.

“You! Stand still right there!”
Just as Cai was about to head to the battlefield, Little Eagle stopped her, her reason exceedingly simple:
“You lack practical combat experience and are unsuited for the brutal front lines. Stay here obediently!”
Cai wouldn’t be without tasks, however, just as Little Eagle explained:
“If any comrades retreat due to injury, use your magic to heal them.”
Little Eagle calmed the slightly agitated Cai, and after ensuring she would remain in place, departed for another combat zone.
While other demons needed to fight alongside their comrades, Little Eagle did not.
This was because she was just like Wang.
Both of them, by their sheer individual power, could be considered an entire army!
As she closed the distance with the enemy, Little Eagle expressionlessly raised her arm.
Numerous feathers, carried by a swirling wind, now hovered before her.
Little Eagle extended a hand forward, plucking a silver longsword from the vortex of wind with a motion as delicate as picking a flower from a garden.
As the sword’s master, she flicked her right arm, and as white feathers dispersed before her eyes, the enemy’s demise was at hand!
Before her lay an enemy army that could only be described as a ‘torrent of metal’.
Given their overwhelming numbers, Little Eagle wasted no time playing games with the weak; she immediately began a serious slaughter.
The sword, forged from feathers, was swung with immense force.
Moments later, the enemies’ weapons and armor shattered simultaneously, followed by their very bodies.
Little Eagle ran without the slightest need to pause.
This was because, before she even passed them, the obstacles directly in her path had already fallen.
Though their collapses were staggered, to an observer, it appeared as if:
Enemy soldiers fell in droves as Little Eagle ran, traversing the battlefield atop fresh corpses!
With just a single swing, tens of thousands of enemies perished by her hand.
This was the outcome when Little Eagle truly committed to killing.
While not quite on par with her Boss, she had nonetheless reached the ‘Quasi-Nation-Toppling’ level.
To defeat her, a force equivalent to 200,000 regular troops would certainly be insufficient.

Meanwhile.
Grasping the hilt, drawing the sword, cleaving, then sweeping—this was Wang’s sole method of combat at present.
The soldiers forming the vanguard of the allied army advanced, their long halberds held in a continuous line, their square steps marching in unison as they thrust forward.
As Wang merely lifted her sword-wielding right hand, the arrayed spearheads before her aimed directly for her vital points.
Wang then rotated her wrist, causing the partially drawn blade to angle forward, deflecting the assault.
Given the sheer density of the enemy’s attack, Wang did not merely hold her sword horizontally to block a single strike.
Her longsword, having just parried one halberd tip, immediately swept sideways.
This transformed her defense from a ‘point’ block to a ‘surface’ deflection as the blade moved laterally.
She executed this movement effortlessly, without fuss or strain, a lightning-fast reaction that even the elite soldiers opposite her could not replicate.
Without waiting for her opponents to launch a second assault, Wang flicked the hilt, guiding the drawn blade upward, and with a single stroke, severed the entire line of obstacles before her.
Even if the halberds were crafted from metal, their shafts were still made of wood. Given the sword’s terrifying sharpness, severing a ‘bundle’ of wooden shafts was hardly difficult.
Stripped of their only weapons, the soldiers’ faces contorted in terror.
At that moment, the horizontally sweeping blade arced past them.
The next instant, Wang appeared behind them.
Before her foot even lifted, several individuals behind her had already collapsed.
However, the vanguard’s resistance was far from over!
As Wang’s foot descended, her ear twitched, as if catching an unusual sound.
In an instinctive movement, Wang’s legs launched her off the ground.
A moment later, the spot where she had just stood was immediately blanketed by a dozen throwing axes.
As she leaped, Wang noticed the enemy soldiers rushing forward; it was they who had hurled the barrage of axes!
Seeing their first wave fail, the axe-throwers immediately launched a second fierce assault, instantly flinging their reserve weapons.
More throwing axes rained down as if limitless, yet Wang’s forward dash showed not a hint of hesitation!
These weapons, embedded in the ground, served perfectly as stepping stones for her descent.
She traversed the unbroken ‘axe-paved road,’ her body leaping up and down once or twice, before instantly appearing before the soldiers.
For a brief moment, Wang hovered in mid-air, her longsword spinning once in her grip before launching entirely from her hand.
With the colossal force of a crashing boulder, the blade deeply embedded itself into the entire infantry square before her, unleashing a thunderous roar!
The orderly military formation instantly shattered, and the densely packed soldiers caught in the blast were sent flying symmetrically outwards.
The injured twitched a few times upon landing, then ceased all movement, officially declared among the dead.
