When Jiang Cha came out of the detention room, a tiny little spirit followed her.
“Wuuu, Cha-bao, I missed you so much! If I never see your beautiful face again, how will I survive?!”
Lina leaped straight into her arms, tears spilling as a genuine expression of emotion—but there was nothing particularly moving about it.
Heqin, standing behind, took a step forward but stopped after seeing Lina rush ahead, helplessly curling her lips into a small smile.
“Am I just a tool to satisfy your fantasies?”
The girl shook her head, complaining without much patience.
But the adorable golden-haired loli in her arms lifted her head and smiled innocently, showing a little shiny fang: “If you don’t mind, we could even be ‘one-day lovers’!”
“W-what do you mean, one-day!?”
Jiang Cha gave the little pest a glare. Having endured three days of celibacy in the detention room, suddenly hearing Lina’s even more blatant innuendos than before was a bit too much for her to handle.
“Is Estelle still in the room?”
“Eh, she said it’s just three days, so there’s no need to come fetch you. She just really doesn’t want to go out.”
Heqin explained quietly in response to the girl’s question.
“Hmm~ as expected of her.”
Jiang Cha sighed softly. She didn’t need to think too hard to know that the idea of fetching her had come from Heqin, and she also knew that the little shut-in Estelle absolutely wouldn’t show up herself.
There was no disappointment, only a slight sense of surprise.
The girl turned to look at Lina, chattering away between them, and Heqin gently echoing her. A warm feeling rose in her heart.
After waking up alone for so long, she finally had someone to care about in this strange world.
“Hmm hmm, Cha-bao!”
“What’s up?”
Lina’s sudden call brought her back to reality. Her wet eyes were filled with affection, which made Lina momentarily stunned before she quickly recovered:
“You’ve fallen behind by three days! You’ll never catch up to me now.”
“Oh?”
Jiang Cha smiled lightly. That smile was hard to read—part indulgent, part disdainful.
“How do you know I haven’t progressed these past few days?”
“Eh! Being locked in a detention room and still learning is too much! I don’t believe it! Show me what you’ve learned!”
Lina was about to make a scene. She had been pushing herself to the limit for three days of study battles, hoping to leave Cha-bao behind. Now she heard that the academic queen had still made progress even while confined—how could that be fair?
“I won’t go into the theory. The contamination concentration is a little too high.”
Jiang Cha wasn’t worried about Lina—after all, this kid only thought about battles and wouldn’t understand. But Heqin clearly looked mentally exhausted and was not in a condition to absorb information with a high contamination concentration.
“In short, the result is this.”
The girl pulled out Huizi from her skirt pocket. The pale blue spirit seemed almost to have been cooped up—it ran around excitedly as soon as it appeared, curious about its surroundings.
“No way! You’ve already created a basic life form!?”
Lina nearly fainted in shock. Actually, if she thought rationally, she would know it wasn’t possible. Creating a basic life form from scratch was something even Mortel couldn’t achieve—how could Jiang Cha do it?
But rationality had left her mind.
Since meeting Jiang Cha, this golden-haired loli had long held a firm belief:
Estelle’s talent in alchemy was unparalleled. Heqin’s unique and mysterious experiences had allowed her to progress rapidly in puppetry, and her mechanics skills were now quite good.
But Jiang Cha had no specialty path. She was extremely well-rounded.
In a certain sense, Jiang Cha’s natural talent was actually poor, because she had no inherited traits. Traits were like permanent magic that didn’t occupy magic power or thinking capacity—without them, a witch’s talent would naturally be overshadowed by one with traits.
But Cha-bao was different. Her inherent magic was just too overpowered! Nothing she did was surprising anymore!
“Nope.”
Jiang Cha waved her hand, smiling at their shocked expressions:
“This isn’t really a life form yet… hmm, more accurately, it should be called a miniature divine power server?”
Lina & Heqin:
“You’d better have just said ‘basic life form,’ that would’ve made more sense!”
They understood what a “divine power server” was. Its rarity far exceeded that of ordinary elemental spirits.
“In other words, the Wisdom School I’m trying to create has finally gotten on track.”
Jiang Cha explained many things: the role of Huizi, its origin, and its limitations. But Lina and Heqin remained silent, until Jiang Cha, engrossed in her explanation, noticed their silence and looked at them curiously:
“Why aren’t you saying anything?”
“Cha-bao, how does your brain even work? Everyone else is a witch, and compared to you, we feel like fools.”
“Jiang Cha-chan’s learning ability is… beyond my comprehension.”
Their expressions of shock made the girl realize she had again unintentionally done something beyond common sense. She scratched her head and laughed awkwardly:
“Ahahaha, it’s really just the advantage of my inherent magic.”
[Information gathering]…
Maybe Jiang Cha should give her inherent magic a new name? Its effect clearly already far exceeded the secondary mystical magic of the same name.
As expected of the so-called “Three High Magic” (high difficulty, high development cost, high future prospects). Even a shallow development had already brought Jiang Cha enormous benefits, almost flawless in every way.
“Cha-bao, you said before that you want to develop Wisdom Magic into the seventh major school of magic, right?”
The group was chatting as they neared their dorm. Heqin slowed her pace and whispered to Jiang Cha after Lina had entered the portal:
“Yes, that’s right.”
“Then you should think carefully about the fundamental rules and essence of the Wisdom School. I think when you find that answer, that’s when your school will truly be on track.”
The girl fell silent, pondering deeply before looking up and softly thanking her.
The two of them walked into the dorm together, but Jiang Cha’s mind kept thinking about the question:
What exactly is the rule essence represented by the Wisdom School?
The other six major schools each had a representative cosmic essence. Together, the six could theoretically form the multiverse they lived in—that is, an omniscient and omnipotent creator god.
So, what can the Wisdom School represent?
Could it become another pillar leading to omniscience and omnipotence?
