“Jiangcha directly engaged the Psionic Archmage head-on? That’s not exactly a wise choice.”
[High-Speed Divine Speech]
Both commentators, veteran Archmages themselves, activated High-Speed Divine Speech during commentary, catching every single action on the battlefield.
“No way! Jiangcha jumped to the backline! Holy Spirit Transformation! Mephist, the Transmutation Archmage, is up next!”
Transmutation Archmages specialize in highly tricky, one-move-combo tactics in matches.
While Mentalism and Mysticism Archmages are strong in casting versatility, they’re weaker in defense. Transmutation Archmages? Thick-skinned and tough.
“Come on, try a legendary Dragon Transformation on me; you won’t one-shot me, so good luck!”
Mephist may not have the classic Legendary Dragon Transformation, but her Holy Spirit Transformation is no slouch—extremely versatile.
“Wait, there really is a Necromancy Archmage? That summoning hand… oh no! Team B is in serious trouble!”
Team B, besides their main Archmage, has two players who are basically just support—equipment pieces for the main Caster. From the start, besides raising a shield, all they’ve done is buff their main Archmage.
This does make Mephist harder to pressure, but Jiangcha and Violette aren’t sitting idle. Within moments, the black-haired, red-eyed girl unleashed a storm of fireballs, charging nearly to the backline.
Meanwhile, Violette finished her summoning spell—about a hundred high-level undead, mostly caster types, twenty skeletal liches, thirty mummy wizards, and other spectral magic users.
These buffs are faster than the other two small Archmages could provide.
“Can she hold?!”
Feeling the opponent’s aggressive pressure mounting, the Psionic Archmage seems to be gambling.
“Wow~ such naive tactical commands, I almost feel bad for taking advantage of them.”
Jiangcha, after issuing opening orders, had been mostly idling—and even joking in the encrypted channel with her teammates.
Mephist said nothing; she doesn’t know [Divine Communication], and has no time to chat. Holding up against a Psionic Archmage layered with multiple buffs is still tough, leaving no energy to spare.
But compared to her peers Helen and Carol, her aggression is mild—twenty seconds in, she’s only exerting pressure without breaking through.
“Time to make you understand…!”
Jiangcha suddenly spoke—but it terrified the two opposing girls. Her voice was split: the first half casting a spell dozens of meters away, the second half suddenly appearing beside them.
Her Psionic Ice Blade struck mercilessly, slicing through the unfortunate Archmage—blood spraying across the black-haired, red-eyed girl—but Jiangcha smiled sweetly. Innocent charm.
Meanwhile, the other Archmage, seeing her teammate cut down, grit her teeth and forced through Mephist’s defensive line, charging toward Violette.
A strengthened Firestorm Explosion would have been enough to incinerate a small caster with just a basic bone shield.
But…
“Death Finger~”
Normally, Death Finger is a small, half-meter dark beam, easily dodgeable with Archmage mobility.
But Violette isn’t just any caster; she’s the daughter of a Grand Sage. Her spell is far from basic.
“Death Finger!? That’s the [Jian’s Death Finger]!”
Merle reacted instantly, her knowledge vast, leaping up at the scattering black light.
“Not sure how Violette cast it, but Donna is in serious danger!”
Even veteran commentators couldn’t fully understand how this Death Finger had zero prep signs. But they could judge the battlefield—the outcome rested on this move.
“Full hit! Donna took the entire Death Finger! Compared to the original, this version fixes the miss-rate flaw, but loses its instant-kill power against Archmages.”
“Donna still has a chance! Two casting opportunities left! Will she fight back?”
“She chose to yield—a smart choice. It’s Bo3 with double elimination; no need to overly focus on a single round.”
“Besides, Jiangcha has already taken out a backliner… Hey, Nova, what do you think of Jiangcha?”
After a burst of High-Speed Divine Speech, Merle relaxed and spoke to her co-commentator.
“She’s cunning. I don’t know why a newly awakened Archmage, only six months into awakening, has such a battle style, but she’s clearly very smart.”
Nova also noticed the key moment: Violette’s Death Finger was unexpected, but the real game-changer was Jiangcha tricking Donna for three seconds, letting Mephist transform.
“But I still favor Mephist. She’s a new generation from the Carell family—maybe she’ll surprise us in later matches.”
“Jiangcha is too young. Impressive, yes, but she won’t bring many new tricks.”
“Really?”
Hearing her co-commentator’s bold judgment, Merle instinctively tried to stir the pot. If she’s right, good; if wrong, Nova looks smart. Either way, fun for the show.
“Of course! A six-month-awakened Archmage can’t learn much magic. Her energy flicker alone is impressive—many pro players can’t do it. How could she have time to learn more?”
Merle was joking, but Nova was serious. This is basic Archmage knowledge!
Then Jiangcha “punched her face.” Not literally, but during the break, Shuijun contacted her, urging her to take the next round seriously—big names were watching.
Jiangcha realized: if a Sage considers you “important,” you’re playing at a high level. Even though she still only used Psionic magic in round two, she unleashed full power within that scope.
No opening shield; Mephist held off the opposing Archmage, and Jiangcha’s Elemental Convergence combo wiped the enemy backline instantly.
The scene: black-haired, red-eyed girl floating mid-air, smiling, magic surging, thousands of magic circles appearing, countless fireballs, ice arrows, wind blades, water cannons, lightning, and other low-level Psionic spells raining like a storm.
A final snap detonated the magic storm. Fifteen seconds later, the fight was over.
