X
Amidst the ceaseless flow of traffic in the bustling city, within a dark and deserted alley, the familiar scenery suddenly blurred and twisted. Then, a person materialized out of thin air.
“Good heavens,” he muttered. “Finding a spot in this city without surveillance or prying eyes is an absolute nightmare these days.”
The young man, looking rather disgruntled, stepped out of the alley. He gazed upon the towering skyscrapers outside, listening to the cacophony of advertisements and blaring car horns that constantly filled the air.
Overwhelmed with emotion, tears welled in his eyes as he cried out to the sky, “My God! I’m finally back!”
Elderly passersby, both men and women, cast glances at the strangely dressed young man as if he were deranged, quickly giving him a wide berth.
Some of the older women even whispered, “Such a handsome young man, yet he’s a lunatic. What a pity.”
As An Ran, returned to his hometown, his power was inadvertently exposed, naturally allowing him to overhear these idle whispers.
However, he couldn’t be bothered to argue with mere passersby.
First, he needed to ascertain how much time had passed. If decades had flown by and his childhood friend’s grandchildren were already married, that would be a major problem. He would then have to devise a way to reset the world’s timeline.
“Hmm, three years have passed. Not long at all. They would have just started university. This is manageable.”
An Ran immediately scanned the entire city with his divine sense, searching for his best friend and his childhood sweetheart. This method was far quicker than any online search, locating and locking onto both individuals instantly.
“Excellent. One is at school, the other is at home trying out a new dish.”
An Ran glanced at his own attire. It was rather out of place for this society, even if this set of gear could incite a world war in other realms.
“First, I need to find some money for a change of clothes.”
An Ran activated his system, directly hacking into the local banking system. He did have deposits in the bank, though some might have been frozen due to his disappearance.
No matter. If he had no money, his best friend’s bank account surely did. He would just withdraw some from there first.
An Ran didn’t even bother going to a bank. He simply transferred cash directly into his hands, then deducted it from his best friend’s account, even creating a complete transaction record. Perfect.
Of course, he intercepted the transfer notification meant for his best friend.
An Ran felt a hundred thousand in cash materialize within his spatial ring.
“Time to get a new outfit.”
An Ran hailed a taxi and headed to the largest local mall. He spent the hundred thousand cash in one swoop, emerging impeccably dressed in a suit and tie, radiating undeniable charm.
The front desk lady, her face flushed, even asked for his phone number.
An Ran could only regretfully inform the pure-hearted young woman that he already had a girlfriend before making a dashing exit.
His childhood sweetheart was currently in class, so it wasn’t the right time to seek her out. He would first complete the grand project of transforming his best friend into a girl.
The mere thought filled him with excitement!
An Ran sat restlessly in the taxi, finding it excruciatingly slow. Unfortunately, the money in his best friend’s card was only enough for a twenty-thousand-dollar piece of junk.
He’d wait until his own card was unfrozen, then buy a sports car worth tens of millions.
What felt like a snail’s pace for half an hour to An Ran finally brought him near his best friend’s house.
During that half-hour, An Ran hadn’t been idle. He had remotely manipulated the situation, seizing an opportune moment when his best friend wasn’t paying attention to drop a specially developed pill from the other world into the freshly made broth.
In An Ran’s sight, his best friend had already drunk a large bowl, and judging by the satisfied smile, it must have tasted wonderful. He wouldn’t have to wait long for an even bigger surprise.
An Ran arrived at his best friend’s doorstep, where he faintly heard a mournful feminine shriek from inside.
“How could this happen!!!”
Plan successful!
An Ran straightened his tie and pressed the doorbell.
The chime startled the woman inside, who asked in a low, trembling voice, “Who is it?”
“It’s me! Jiao Yueliang, hurry up and welcome your big brother!”
“An… An Ran!”
The door burst open, revealing a stunning silver-haired, red-eyed girl dressed in men’s casual clothes, an apron tied around her waist. She stood before An Ran.
*Hiss*~, the effect is remarkable! My dish!
Seeing the girl’s surprised expression, An Ran feigned composure and said, “Who are you? Could it be Jiao Yueliang’s girlfriend? You’re quite beautiful.”
“Ah, ah?!”
The girl’s surprise turned to panic, yet she didn’t know how to explain. She promptly pulled An Ran inside, shutting the door behind them.
With tears in her eyes, the girl cried, “An Ran, it’s me! I’m Jiao Yueliang!”
The girl’s delicate voice made An Ran’s fingers twitch, but he absolutely had to restrain himself at this crucial moment!
“You?!” An Ran lightly traced the girl’s smooth, soft chin, his eyes fixed intently on her flawless face, as his own slowly drew closer.
Jiao Yueliang felt An Ran’s intense dominance, her body inexplicably unable to move. (She wasn’t just intimidated; An Ran had actually tampered with her, restraining her.)
As both felt each other’s warm breath, Jiao Yueliang lost her composure. This was too close!
The girl’s delicate face flushed pink, the color quickly spreading across her entire body.
“An, An Ran. It’s too close.” Jiao Yueliang couldn’t bear it any longer, but her body remained immobile.
An Ran released her, taking two steps back. He said dismissively,
“Do you take me for blind? Not even cross-dressing could achieve this level, alright? You’re not going to tell me Jiao Yueliang went to Thailand for a full surgery, are you? If so, their technique is quite extraordinary. Tsk, tsk, the way these breasts are done, just the right size.”
Jiao Yueliang was mortified and indignant. Clutching her chest, she exclaimed, “I *am* Jiao Yueliang! I’ll give you proof! Do you remember three years ago when we went to KTV together, me, you, and Xin Ru…”
“That? Pfft, lots of people know about that. Besides, Jiao Yueliang could have told you!”
“Ah, well, there’s more. When we were eighteen, we won the racing game championship together.”
“That’s not a secret either. Tell me something Jiao Yueliang would absolutely never tell anyone else, but that I would know.”
Jiao Yueliang was stumped. After much deliberation, he finally recalled something utterly embarrassing, a secret known only to him and An Ran, absolutely no one else.
However, Jiao Yueliang bit her lip adorably and said softly, “When we were five, I played house at your place. It was just you and me in the room, and I wore Xin Ru’s clothes as the bride, and you were the groom, and then, then…”
An Ran indicated that his prey had taken the bait, but on the surface, he remained nonchalant. “Then what?”
Watching Jiao Yueliang’s eyes well up with tears (from indignation), she said, “Then we bowed to each other and became husband and wife~”
“Oh my!” An Ran’s eyes widened in disbelief. “It really is you, Jiao Yueliang!”
An Ran excitedly placed his two ‘wolf paws’ on Jiao Yueliang’s fragrant shoulders, pulling her into a tight embrace. “I missed you terribly!”
Jiao Yueliang felt An Ran’s strength had increased significantly, squeezing her so tightly she could barely breathe. The pressure on her chest was also highly uncomfortable, so Jiao Yueliang pleaded, “You’re going to strangle me! Let me go!”
An Ran obediently released Jiao Yueliang, gently settling the slightly breathless girl onto the sofa. He even thoughtfully handed her a drink.
Jiao Yueliang paid no mind to any difference in the water An Ran offered, downing it in one gulp. Then, she exclaimed in surprise, “This is quite tasty.”
“As long as it tastes good.” An Ran displayed a triumphant, satisfied smile that made Jiao Yueliang shiver.
An Ran had given her a growth hormone that accelerated the pill’s effects. This time, Jiao Yueliang truly had no hope of remaining male.
After calming down, Jiao Yueliang felt something was amiss. “An Ran, your smile is a bit strange.”
An Ran’s eyes darted upwards as he said, “Is it? I’m just a little excited from not seeing you for so many years, don’t mind it.”
“You always look up when you lie to me and Xin Ru!” Jiao Yueliang gritted her teeth. “You knew it was me all along, didn’t you?
You deliberately made me spill that embarrassing secret from back then, didn’t you?!!! Tell me, does my transformation into a girl have something to do with you!!!”
An Ran avoided Jiao Yueliang’s gaze, turning his head away. “How could that be?”
Jiao Yueliang could clearly see An Ran’s guilty conscience. For a moment, she was so angry she laughed. “Heh heh, you’re good! Turn your head back here and tell me where you’ve been for the past three years!”
