Chapter 5: The Loli’s Predicament and an Unexpected Reunion

“I’m such an idiot,” Wang Yu muttered, banging her head against the wall, tears silently streaming down her face. ‘Knowing full well that guy who wrote the manual was setting a trap, why did I still leap into it? I’m truly pathetic.’

Wang Yu lifted her head, gazing at the mirror-like artifact. Reflected within was a peerless loli, her skin so delicate it seemed it could break at a touch. Her silky black hair cascaded like a waterfall.

Her bright, dark eyes were captivating and full of spirit, as if they could draw one into their depths. Her skin, smooth and fair as milk, glowed with a faint rosy hue. Beneath her small, adorable nose were thin lips like rose petals.

Her smooth, tender feet were clearly the kind one could admire for years. Most critically, this little loli wore nothing but a black robe, completely defenseless. Coupled with her melancholic expression, it was almost an invitation to crime.

Wang Yu’s face crumpled in despair. ‘If this were before, before, *before*… I’d gladly accept a death sentence, or three years of pure bliss! But this is me, dammit!’

Seeing herself in the mirror, Wang Yu felt a surge of uncontrollable urges. A thought echoed in her mind: ‘I’ll do myself.’ As she pondered, her eyes grew vacant, and a broken laugh escaped her lips.

“No, this isn’t right.” Wang Yu gave herself a shake, slapping her own cheeks. “Now isn’t the time for such thoughts. Even if I’ve become a loli, it doesn’t stop me from being an excellent slacker. Come on!”

Wang Yu perhaps didn’t realize how adorable her current actions were. A delicate, sweet little black-haired loli clenching her fists to her chest—anyone seeing her would surely scoop her up and thoroughly pamper her.

Wang Yu pulled the black robe tightly over her alluring body, determined to stick to her original plan. She had long ago devised a way to escape. Now, the only additional concern was how to preserve her virtue.

First, all the treasures in the secret chamber would undoubtedly belong to this loli. Although there was quite a lot, while experimenting with various artifacts in the chamber, she had discovered a storage ring—a ring with its own spatial storage, which was incredibly precious.

From the memories of the sect master, Wang Yu learned that a treasure like a storage ring was impossible for a sect like Cloudwind Sect, which only dominated small eastern kingdoms, to possess. How it ended up in the sect master’s hands remained a mystery to Wang Yu.

After all, these were the sect master’s life memories. When poured into Wang Yu’s mind, her brain, for self-preservation, had drastically pruned most of the content. Thus, Wang Yu only had a rough understanding of the events in the sect master’s memories, lacking clear details.

However, ‘Do details really matter?’ Wang Yu thought, completely unfazed. Usability was paramount. Oh, right—to use it, Wang Yu had painfully cut her hand and dripped blood onto it.

Wang Yu tearfully sucked on her cut finger, then applied some healing ointment to it.

It was her first time cutting herself, and she had underestimated the sharpness of the otherworldly blade, overestimating her own strength. A gush of blood had spurted out.

Once her hand stopped hurting, Wang Yu waved her hand at the secret chamber’s treasures. All the valuables instantly vanished, entering the storage ring.

“Hooray!” Wang Yu exclaimed, her cute little face flushed with excitement, like a red apple tempting one to take a bite. “A white void, a white tomorrow awaits me! Hahaha!”

Time to go. Wang Yu cautiously exited through the secret passage in the chamber. This hidden path had been the sect master’s escape route during the most intense period of his struggle with Zhang Jiu.

‘Now, I’m making good use of it, allowing this secret passage to shine in its lifetime. I truly am not the kind of person who wastes things casually,’ little Wang Yu thought triumphantly as she emerged from the passage, giggling.

Outside, lush trees swayed, and gentle sunlight bathed the land. Various spiritual birds sang in the jungle, filling the air with life. Wang Yu used her small hand to shield her eyes from the sun, which was too intense for her newly formed young body.

It took a while for Wang Yu’s eyes to adjust. She then opened her bright, spirited eyes wide, looking around. Honestly, Wang Yu desperately wanted to loudly vent the pent-up frustration that had been lurking within her.

Since being forced into this world, Wang Yu had lived in constant anxiety and fear. She had no family, no friends, and had hidden in the secret chamber, afraid to go out lest she expose herself. She even avoided much interaction with others during meals.

Everything had to be planned and fought for by herself. If not for her personality… shamelessness? Or perhaps being carefree? In any case, she should be able to survive.

Wang Yu patted her face, muttering to herself, “All that is in the past. I am the ultimate winner. I am always so stable. The world is so vast; I must see it all.”

“But for now, the most urgent task is to find a place to live and buy some fitting clothes.” Wang Yu stepped onto the soft grass, walking downwards, contemplating her future. Her current attire was almost nonexistent, causing her significant trouble.

Suddenly, Wang Yu stopped, gazing ahead with an incredulous expression.

Standing there was a young man in white. Though his clothes were somewhat disheveled, and some parts were stained with blood, none of it could conceal his heroic spirit. Simply by standing there, he seemed to be the center of the world.

“Yue Feng!” Wang Yu nearly cried out. ‘How could he be here? That’s impossible! To sever ties with him, I deliberately left his family’s secret manual in the secret chamber, in a place immune to the explosion.’

Wang Yu frowned, thinking, ‘Was the secret chamber too hidden? No, that can’t be. Unless he didn’t care about the manual, there’s no way he wouldn’t find that secret chamber.

After all, though it was a secret chamber, it was already known to the sect’s high-ranking members as the sect master’s cultivation retreat.

Only the sect master’s private vault and the secret passage were unknown. Where did things go wrong?’

Even if Wang Yu racked her brain, she couldn’t pinpoint where the problem lay. She could only stride towards Yue Feng.

What was meant to come would come; what couldn’t be avoided would eventually arrive. Wang Yu had never been the type to believe that fleeing could solve problems.

As for coincidence? Please. Wang Yu firmly believed in a famous quote from an anime movie: ‘There are no coincidences in this world.’

Cloudwind Sect’s back mountain had always been desolate; no one would come here without reason. Moreover, Yue Feng was clearly waiting for something. Could he have sensed something?

Wang Yu pondered where she might have revealed a flaw, all while continuing to walk forward.

She refused to believe that even in her current state, Yue Feng would still mistake her for the sect master who had tried to perish with him.

Unless he was blind and face-blind!

Furthermore, if she played her cards right, her current predicament might even be resolved. After all, while protagonists were often shameless, they generally leaned towards chaotic good.

For a harmless little girl like her, he should be quite amenable. Comforting herself with this thought, Wang Yu felt a little more at ease.

Wang Yu’s guess was correct; Yue Feng was indeed waiting for someone—more precisely, for the person descending from the back mountain. After Yue Feng killed Zhang Jiu, Cloudwind Sect was quickly suppressed.

However, there were many unanswered questions. Yue Feng felt that the sect master was strange, almost as if he had been replaced by someone else.

Just last time, he had been so cowardly, trying every means to escape from Yue Feng’s grasp. Yet, upon their next meeting, he immediately self-destructed. It was too bizarre.

But Yue Feng found nothing unexpected until Cloudwind Sect was completely suppressed. Everything had been too smooth.

Another issue was that he hadn’t found everything he wanted in Cloudwind Sect’s treasury. Yue Feng had his own methods of knowing these items still existed and hadn’t been destroyed along with the sect master’s self-destruction.

After questioning some high-ranking Cloudwind Sect members, he learned about the sect master’s secret chamber. He found the secret manual there, but only the manual—another equally important item was missing.

Someone had taken advantage of the chaos. After reaching this conclusion, Yue Feng used special means to sense that the thief was moving towards the back mountain.

However, Yue Feng didn’t know about the secret passage in the chamber, so he had to take a detour to intercept them at the back mountain.

Even with the detour, Yue Feng’s speed was far greater than Wang Yu’s current loli body, which possessed no cultivation. He directly blocked Wang Yu’s inevitable path.

His intuition told him that he might find his answers from that little thief.

And so, the unexpected scene Wang Yu encountered came to be.
