Chapter 14: The Pervert’s Legacy

Wang Yu had been thoroughly manipulated. Gazing at Shi Yang and Yue Feng’s troubled expressions, she spoke without a flicker of emotion.

“Teach me how to cultivate it,” she said. “I’ll give it a try.”

Yue Feng frantically interjected.

“Yu’er, you heard what we said, didn’t you?” he urged. “This secret manual is clearly nonsense; it’s the kind that makes you explode if you practice it!”

‘Yes, it would explode. She had already experienced that once, forced into it by him.’ Wang Yu rubbed her head, her voice tinged with exasperation.

“My body has been reformed,” she explained. “It should be compatible with this cultivation technique. I’ll just try it, and if anything feels wrong, I’ll stop immediately. With you and Elder Shi here, I should be fine.”

“This…” Yue Feng hesitated.

Shi Yang thoughtfully observed the secret manual. He detected a faint surge of Yin-Yang energy emanating from it.

Recalling Wang Yu’s words about her reformed body, he addressed Yue Feng. “Let Xiaoyu try it,” he said. “I’ll be watching nearby; nothing will happen to her.”

“Alright,” Yue Feng conceded. Seeing Wang Yu’s insistence and his master’s assurance, he spoke with a grave expression.

“But you must promise me this: stop immediately if you sense any danger.”

“Mm-hmm.” Wang Yu agreed. She closed her eyes and began circulating the cultivation technique as Shi Yang had instructed.

Suddenly, Wang Yu felt her body lighten.

Opening her eyes, she found herself seated cross-legged on a colossal golden lotus. Wang Yu curiously surveyed her surroundings.

She rose to her feet, moving around, and soon discovered a turbulent, murky sea swirling beneath the lotus.

“??? Where is this place?” Wang Yu murmured, a mix of confusion and bewilderment in her tone.

“Ding-ding-dong! After a thousand years, this Young Master can finally be set free!” Suddenly, a male voice echoed in Wang Yu’s ears, startling her.

Turning around, she saw a chibi-sized figure floating in the air, a look of arrogant superiority plastered across its face.

“You are…?” Wang Yu asked, utterly bewildered.

The little figure declared, nose upturned in disdain.

“I am the dashing and uninhibited, strikingly handsome, captivating to a myriad of maidens, conqueror of the desolate cosmos, supreme ruler of heaven and earth, the universe’s number one hottie, and the world’s strongest: Haotian Daoist Venerable!”

The little figure rattled off a string of titles, leaving Wang Yu momentarily dumbfounded. She mused inwardly, ‘Could this little guy be an ultimate powerhouse? Should I try to latch onto him?’

As for his incurable narcissism, Wang Yu subconsciously chose to ignore it. What did that matter? The crucial question was whether this ‘powerhouse’ was formidable enough and easy to cling to.

To her surprise, the little figure immediately followed up with a bombshell.

“A low-spec AI I created.”

‘??? So, after all that, you’re not the real deal? A low-spec AI, merely an image?’ A dark line appeared on Wang Yu’s forehead as she patted her chest, reassuring herself.

‘No matter, no matter. Even a low-spec AI left behind by a big shot should still be incredibly powerful.’

Wang Yu mentally comforted herself, then spoke aloud.

“So, did that amazing Haotian Daoist Venerable leave you here to impart cultivation techniques to me?”

The little figure paused.

“No,” it replied.

Wang Yu’s eyes suddenly lit up with understanding.

“Then did he leave you to tell me he bequeathed a massive inheritance, and you’ll provide clues or even take me there?”

“No,” the figure countered. “The Honored One isn’t dead, so why would he leave an inheritance? Besides, he’s a stingy old miser!”

Wang Yu took a deep breath.

“Then did he leave you here to teach me cultivation methods and assist my growth?”

The little figure waved a dismissive hand, a look of contempt on its face.

“Him? Guiding people? Making cultivation guides? He’s a complete lazy pig! No, he didn’t.”

Wang Yu’s expression darkened slightly.

“Then how am I supposed to cultivate now?”

“Are you stupid?” the little figure scoffed. “Isn’t it all written in the book? Just practice according to it!”

“Oh, and I’ll tell you a secret,” it added conspiratorially. “Haotian had a strange, perverse grin on his face when he wrote this cultivation technique. After finishing it, he didn’t even practice it himself, just casually threw it out, saying he was waiting for someone fated to find it.”

Wang Yu’s face grew even darker. Clinging to her last shred of hope, she asked, “So he really didn’t leave anything else for you?”

The little figure pondered for a moment.

“He did leave something, I think. Let me find it for you.”

With that, it turned and began rummaging through the void.

“Oh, here it is! Found it!”

Then the little figure tossed out a large television.

??? Indeed, it looked like an ordinary, large television set. This was the first time Wang Yu had seen such a modern object since arriving in this world.

Even stranger, when the little figure pressed a button, the television actually powered on. It had no plugs or antennas! Excellent. This was truly fantastical.

A person appeared on the screen, their face remarkably similar to the little figure’s. Yet, for some inexplicable reason, Wang Yu felt an overwhelming urge to punch him.

“Fated one, we finally meet!” the man on screen exclaimed. “It seems you’ve already experienced the wondrous effects of the cultivation technique I left behind. How is it? Isn’t it incredibly effective?”

‘Effective, my foot! @#&!’

“Oh, fated one, let me tell you a story,” the man continued. “It’s about the origin of this cultivation technique.”

‘Hmph. ‘Listen to your grandpa,’ Wang Yu thought, as she strode towards the television, intending to turn it off.

“Oh, I forgot something very important!” the man chirped. “Whatever you do, don’t turn off the TV midway, or you won’t be able to leave!”

Wang Yu’s hand froze mid-air. ‘Fine, you win. I’ll listen, alright?’

“It was a bright, sunny day,” Haotian Daoist Venerable on the TV began, a nostalgic expression on his face. “My childhood sweetheart and I, along with a good friend, went out to play. On that beautiful day, my sweetheart and I confessed our feelings to each other successfully.”

“However, the joy of that day was incomplete, because my confession to my good friend failed.”

Haotian Daoist Venerable suddenly declared, indignant. “He said he was a boy, and even if he was cute, he couldn’t marry me. Is that even a reason?”

?????????? Isn’t that absolutely a reason?!

“What’s wrong with a man being perverse?” the Haotian Daoist Venerable — no, this pervert — continued, oblivious to Wang Yu’s reaction. “A real man should conquer difficulties—or men, in this case! Besides, he was so adorable; if you didn’t look closely, he was clearly a girl, wasn’t he?”

“Perhaps even Heaven couldn’t bear to witness my tragic plight,” he speculated. “So, a bolt from the clear sky struck me, sending me into this world.”

Wang Yu shivered on the sidelines. ‘Are you sure Heaven wasn’t just fed up with your level of perversion?’ she thought, trembling inwardly.

“Since he, as a boy, wouldn’t marry me, wouldn’t it be simpler to just turn him into a girl?” the Haotian Daoist Venerable mused. “I tirelessly pursued this goal, eventually becoming a formidable expert. Relying on my profound knowledge, I finally invented this cultivation technique!”

“First, I’ll use the Great Yin-Yang Reversal to transform him into a girl, then trick him into cultivating the Myriad Spirit Awakening so he can’t change back! I’m truly a genius!”

“Once I return, they’ll all be my wings!”

Wang Yu had already retreated to the edge of the golden lotus, huddling against its petals, trembling uncontrollably. This man was utterly terrifying.

“To allow others to experience the wondrous effects of this set of cultivation techniques, I deliberately left it here, benefiting future generations,” the image on screen proclaimed.

“I even left a wisp of Yin-Yang energy to make it easier for my successors to utilize the Great Yin-Yang Reversal. No need to thank me! Successors, may we meet again if fate allows!”

With a sharp ‘snap,’ the television screen went blank.

“The Master only left these things,” the little figure stated. “Nothing else.”

Leaning against the lotus petals, Wang Yu wore an utterly broken expression. She incessantly muttered, “Too terrifying… A pervert… Help me!”
