Chapter 15: The Little Figure’s Grand Entrance

Inside Yue Feng’s room, Wang Yu suddenly shrieked, “You pervert!” She leaped from his arms, darted into the maiden’s room, and embraced her, trembling violently.

Yue Cai, startled awake by Wang Yu, wore a confused expression. Assuming Wang Yu had suffered a nightmare, she pulled her close and gently stroked the loli’s head. “Sister Yu’er, it’s alright,” she murmured. “It was just a dream, good girl.”

Perhaps the maiden’s soothing words had worked, or perhaps Wang Yu was genuinely exhausted. Regardless, she soon drifted into a deep sleep.

Seeing Wang Yu peacefully asleep, Yue Cai covered the loli with a blanket, held her close, and resumed her own slumber. Only Yue Feng and Shi Yang remained in the adjacent room, exchanging bewildered glances, utterly clueless about what had just transpired.

“Oh, finally out! I was practically suffocating in that book!” Suddenly, a voice reached their ears. A chibi-sized figure crawled out of the secret manual, looking around. “Huh? Where’s my new master?”

Yue Feng and Shi Yang stared blankly at the tiny figure, completely bewildered.

After a moment, Shi Yang spoke. “This little figure bears a resemblance to a powerful ancient being from a thousand years ago.”

“Hahaha, old man, you have some discerning eyes!” The little figure’s nose immediately turned up. “Listen closely! I am the dashing, captivating, irresistibly charming, universally adored, peerless conqueror of the desolate cosmos, the supreme being of heaven and earth, the universe’s most handsome, and the world’s strongest, Hao Tian Dao Zun!”

Shi Yang’s eyes widened instantly. “You are his venerable self!” he exclaimed.

To their surprise, the little figure added, “—a low-spec artificial intelligence created by him.”

Shi Yang’s face darkened. If that was the case, why was it still so arrogant? He certainly didn’t possess Wang Yu’s good temper. With a casual flick of his hand, the little figure began spinning wildly in the air.

“Ahhh! Help me! I’m going to die!” The little figure couldn’t last more than a few seconds in the air, already dizzy and disoriented.

“Cough, cough, Master, we still have questions for him,” Yue Feng interjected, stopping Shi Yang from continuing his outburst.

“Hmph!” Shi Yang flicked his hand again, and the little figure plummeted from the sky.

Yue Feng swiftly caught the little figure’s leg, preventing its fall.

The little figure, still reeling from its extreme ‘rollercoaster ride,’ had passed out. Seeing this, Yue Feng extended his ‘cruel’ hands. *Slap, slap, slap.* “Hey, wake up! I have questions for you.”

“Sigh, it seems I’ll have to ask tomorrow.” Yue Feng looked at the little figure, whose face was now swollen but still unconscious, and reluctantly gave up. Noticing the late hour, he too prepared to rest.

“Sister Yu’er, time to wake up.”

Wang Yu, deep in slumber, vaguely heard someone calling her. *’Never mind,’* she thought. *’I’m a lazy fish who sleeps until noon; early mornings simply don’t exist.’* She rolled over, snuggling deeper into the bed, and continued to sleep.

Seeing that Wang Yu wouldn’t get up, the maiden had no choice but to say, “Then, Sister Yu’er, I’ll go wash up first. I’ll come call you again after I make breakfast.”

“Mm,” Wang Yu mumbled in a perfunctory reply.

Afterward, the maiden sat at her vanity, meticulously grooming herself. Once she was done, she appeared even more radiant. Her elegant and dignified demeanor left one marveling at her poise and virtue.

Her makeup routine was simple and swift. Satisfied, she nodded at her reflection in the mirror, then rose to prepare breakfast.

As the maiden stepped out, she saw her brother already up and performing his morning exercises. She couldn’t help but recall how her brother, like Wang Yu, used to be impossible to wake up. However, ever since the family incident, he had become increasingly steady and diligent. She only hoped he wouldn’t overwork himself.

“Cai’er is awake too, I see.” Noticing Yue Cai staring blankly at him, Yue Feng walked over and gently stroked her head. “Cai’er looks truly beautiful today.”

“Ah, ah, ah!” The maiden snapped back to reality, her face flushing crimson. “Good morning, Brother! I, I’m going to make breakfast!” She dashed off in a flash.

Yue Feng watched her go, shaking his head. *’What a shy girl,’* he thought.

“What, have you changed your target, young man?” Shi Yang asked, his voice laced with a subtle hint of amusement.

“Changed my target?” Yue Feng shook his head. “I’ve simply come to a realization.”

“Only children make choices; adults want both.”

Just as Yue Feng was about to elaborate, a child’s voice interrupted him. Yue Feng focused his gaze and saw that the little figure from yesterday had, at some point, settled nearby, speaking with an air of self-importance.

“Master Hao Tian was always decisive. If he didn’t love, he absolutely wouldn’t. But if he did, he’d find every way to get her.”

“I feel like I have a lot in common with your master,” Yue Feng said with a smile. “I love Yu’er because it was love at first sight. And I love Cai’er because of her unwavering companionship. Perhaps it’s greedy, but I won’t let go of either of them. However, my love is limited to just the two of them. My heart can no longer be divided.”

“Will those two girls agree?” Shi Yang inquired.

“Cai’er, of course, goes without saying. She’s sensible by nature, and it’s clear she’s very fond of Yu’er,” Yue Feng said, a sudden smile gracing his lips as something occurred to him.

“As for Yu’er, my only concern is how to win her over, never whether she’ll accept Cai’er. After all, her personality is very similar to mine in the past. As someone who’s been there, once she spends enough time with Cai’er, she’ll find it impossible to leave her.”

The little figure listened, nodding repeatedly. Suddenly, it felt itself being lifted, then saw Yue Feng’s wide eyes staring down at it. “Whoa! What are you doing?”

“You passed out yesterday. Now that you’re awake, honestly tell me why Yu’er suddenly ran out yesterday.”

The little figure looked bewildered. “What are you talking about? I don’t know!”

“Oh?” Yue Feng raised an eyebrow. “Then I’ll ask you this: What did you do to Yu’er yesterday?”

The little figure paused, then replied, “I merely pulled the new master into the Heart Lotus Space.”

“Heart Lotus Space? What’s that?” Yue Feng asked, curious.

“What’s what? The Heart Lotus Space is the Heart Lotus Space!” The little figure looked at Yue Feng with disdain. “And you expect to win over the new master with that? Please, your intelligence worries even me!”

Yue Feng’s mouth twitched. He finally understood why his usually composed master would resort to violence. This little figure’s appearance was too provocative, coupled with its arrogant tone and contemptuous words. Anyone would want to punch it!

Bang!

The little figure, now sporting a lump on its head, was thrown to the ground by Yue Feng and promptly fainted.
