Join the ServerSensing the increase in his Blood and Qi conversion speed, a faint smile appeared on Lin Yang’s face.
Without any hesitation, he swallowed every Blood-Replenishing Pill he had just refined, allowing them to continuously generate fresh Blood and Qi.
That Blood and Qi was then converted into Internal Energy by his Basic Internal Energy Manual and poured into his dantian.
By the time he had consumed every pill, his dantian was already more than half full once again.
Without pausing, Lin Yang guided the Internal Energy into the Foot Jueyin Liver Meridian.
One acupoint.
Then two.
Then three.
Only after exhausting half of the remaining Internal Energy inside his dantian and filling the first three acupoints of the Foot Jueyin Liver Meridian did he finally stop.
He stood up, stretched vigorously, and walked out of the alchemy room.
Looking toward the many buildings spread across Wudang Mountain, he found the familiar scenery unchanged.
Daoists still bustled about as before.
Yet now that he had broken through to the Postnatal Realm, the same view somehow felt entirely different.
Leaving the rear mountain, he headed toward Yu Daiyan’s courtyard.
Now that he had successfully reached the Postnatal Realm, it was time to seek the next stage of internal cultivation from his master.
As for which cultivation method he intended to learn, although Zhang Sanfeng had previously told him that Wudang possessed several top-tier Internal Energy Manuals, Lin Yang’s first choice remained the Pure Yang Wuji Art.
After all, it had been created by Zhang Sanfeng himself—the greatest martial artist in the world.
Its quality was undoubtedly the highest.
The only question was whether Yu Daiyan had the authority to teach it.
If not, then he would simply have to visit Zhang Sanfeng on the rear mountain and ask him personally.
Surely his fellow Daoist would not refuse such a request.
Just as he rounded a corner, he spotted Song Qingshu.
The young boy held a wooden sword in his hand while leading seven or eight children of similar age.
The group raced past, shouting noisily.
“Senior Brother Song.
Long time no see.”
Watching the lively scene, Lin Yang couldn’t help smiling.
Song Qingshu was still very much at the age where he loved to play.
He greeted him while briefly glancing over both Song Qingshu and the children behind him.
It seemed Wudang’s recent busyness had given Song Qingshu an unexpected holiday.
Otherwise, given Song Yuanqiao’s personality, there was no way he would have allowed his son so much free time.
Upon seeing Lin Yang, Song Qingshu came to an abrupt stop a short distance away.
His expression carried a hint of embarrassment.
“Junior Brother Qingyang.
Weren’t you studying alchemy on the rear mountain?
How did you come back so soon?”
He felt somewhat guilty.
After all, he had promised to accompany Lin Yang during pill refinement.
Yet after only a single day, he had grown bored and left Lin Yang alone on that deserted hill.
Thinking about it now, it really hadn’t been very loyal of him.
Lin Yang, however, had never minded.
If anything, Song Qingshu’s absence had given him much-needed peace and quiet.
He simply shook his head.
“The pills have already been refined.
There’s no longer any reason for me to stay on the rear mountain.”
“You’ve already finished?
What are they like?
Can I see them?”
Song Qingshu’s eyes immediately lit up.
His curiosity exploded.
Lin Yang shook his head again.
“I’ve already eaten them.
Next time I refine another batch, I’ll show you.”
“Really?”
Song Qingshu muttered skeptically.
He clearly didn’t believe him.
Lin Yang had no intention of explaining further.
“Senior Brother Song, go enjoy yourself.
I’ll be heading back to my master’s place.”
“Alright, alright.
Go ahead.
Just remember to show me your pills next time.”
Song Qingshu nodded before running off with his companions.
As they disappeared into the distance, Lin Yang could faintly hear the children asking,
“Senior Brother Song, who was that kid just now?
He looked so proud.”
Lin Yang merely smiled before continuing toward Yu Daiyan’s courtyard.
The courtyard looked exactly as it always had.
Yu Daiyan was reclining peacefully in his lounge chair, while Senior Brothers Qingyuan and Qingliang sat quietly in a corner reading books.
Judging by their expressions, however, reading was probably not something they were doing willingly.
Walking over, Lin Yang bowed respectfully.
“Master, your disciple has returned.”
Yu Daiyan slowly opened his eyes.
Looking at his gifted disciple, his gaze was filled with warmth.
“Qingyang.
Why are you back so early today?
How is your research on the Blood-Replenishing Pills progressing?”
“It’s almost complete.
Next time, I’ll be able to refine them directly.
When that happens, I’ll let Master have a look.”
Since he had already consumed every pill, Lin Yang chose not to mention that the refinement had already succeeded.
Otherwise, Yu Daiyan would probably make another huge fuss over it.
“That’s quite fast.
Your master is very curious about the quality of the pills you’ve refined.
I wonder whether they’ll be able to replace the Blood-Replenishing Pills currently used by Wudang.”
Yu Daiyan smiled, recalling the confidence Lin Yang had displayed earlier.
Based on everything he knew about his extraordinary disciple, perhaps Lin Yang truly could create a pill superior to Wudang’s current formula.
The corners of Lin Yang’s lips rose slightly.
He naturally had complete confidence in the pills he had created.
However, although they were superior to Wudang’s existing Blood-Replenishing Pills, they lacked ingredients that assisted ordinary people in refining the medicinal effects.
For most cultivators, absorbing them would likely be quite difficult.
Combined with the complexity of the refining process, popularizing these pills throughout Wudang would not be easy.
For the time being, Lin Yang had no desire to become a full-time alchemist whose sole purpose was to support everyone else’s cultivation.
Changing the subject, he said,
“Master, your disciple has already broken through to the Postnatal Realm.
Shouldn’t I begin cultivating the next stage now?”
“You’ve broken through?”
Yu Daiyan’s voice immediately rose.
“Didn’t I tell you to have someone protect you during your breakthrough?
How could you be so reckless!”
His expression quickly became anxious.
Internal cultivation was no trivial matter.
Especially during a breakthrough, even the slightest mistake could damage one’s meridians.
If that affected Lin Yang’s future cultivation, his prospects would be ruined.
Lin Yang froze for a moment.
Only then did he remember that Yu Daiyan had indeed given him those instructions.
But more than three months had passed since then.
How could he possibly remember every detail?
After completing the Scholar System’s mission, coupled with the fact that the Internal Energy inside his dantian had long since reached its absolute limit, he had naturally begun his breakthrough without thinking back to Yu Daiyan’s earlier warning.
“Master, your disciple was too reckless.”
Lin Yang hurriedly apologized, hoping to calm him down before he became even more worried.
“For quite some time now, the Internal Energy in my dantian had already reached its limit.
Today, after finishing my research on the Blood-Replenishing Pills, I simply couldn’t suppress it any longer.
The Internal Energy burst forth on its own, and the breakthrough happened naturally.”
