Chapter 10: An Unexpected Invitation: Stepping Beyond the Screen.

Apart from the fact that I exchanged messages with my employer, learned each other’s names, and that my position changed to a prospective editor in the negotiation process, there was nothing different from before I had the Samdo River experience.

It was a thought that I came up with to make myself aware that not much had changed, but it had the opposite effect.

So many things had changed. All changes in a good direction.

It wasn’t an environment where I could get my usual self.

It seemed that I would have to spend the day grinning without finding complete peace.

‘…Still, I have to do what I have to do.’

There were a few things I had to do, even just thinking of things that came to mind right away.

‘First, let’s write a notice.’

8 days is not that long, but it’s a bit long for a YouTube channel that has tasted a success to disappear without any activity.

I started writing a notice on the YouTube channel community first.

I included in the post that I couldn’t be active for a while due to personal circumstances, and that I had received an offer from EunSiyu to work as a formal editor in the meantime, so this channel would probably soon turn into the official EunSiyu YouTube channel.

After checking once for typos or strange sentences, I registered the post.

It’s unlikely that it will get explosive views like a popular author’s novel, but among those who read this post, there would be at least one person who would post the contents of the notice on the internet.

One person playing the role of a bee and the great internet.

This is enough for the propagation effect.

‘Now, is it work..?’

I wouldn’t be editing any more videos until the day we agreed to talk to EunSiyu again, three days later.

I also wrote in the notice that there would be no uploads during the renewal process, so please watch the live broadcast.

But that doesn’t mean that I won’t be doing any activities related to EunSiyu at all like I did for the past 8 days.

I’ll have to watch the replays and the live broadcasts.

The edited version won’t be uploaded to YouTube, but I need to know what I’ve missed during that time.

I turned on the broadcasts I hadn’t seen on the monitor and sat down with my legs wrapped around the chair.

I didn’t do this before, but it was a posture that had become comfortable at some point.

‘…Come to think of it, it would have been the time to prepare, even if it wasn’t during the broadcast.’

A notification popped up on one side of the monitor about two hours later.

A notification that meant the live broadcast had been turned on.

It seemed that I had almost reached the time for EunSiyu to start broadcasting.

Perhaps some of what I said in the conversation earlier was also for preparing for the broadcast.

I said three days later.

It would be nice to talk about those things when we talk for a long time on the day off.

With that much thought, I moved the mouse cursor and went to the live broadcast.

‘Huh?’

A new notification popped up in the lower right corner just as EunSiyu’s waiting screen appeared on the monitor.

It wasn’t a notification related to the live broadcast.

It’s not completely unrelated since it’s a message from the broadcaster who is conducting the broadcast.

[Yu Sieun: There’s something I forgot earlier……! If you tell me your Treech ID, I’d like to give you manager privileges, would that be okay?]

‘Hmm….’

I recalled the ID of an account where I hadn’t written a chat message even once and told my employer.

I didn’t do anything strange with the account I use the most, but I had the feeling that I didn’t want to tell EunSiyu herself that I used this.

Probably I would have to use this as my main account when watching EunSiyu’s broadcast from now on.

Since I watch all the live broadcasts anyway, it would be okay to occasionally act as a chat manager.

The chat room isn’t dirty enough to be short of hands, but I was thinking of helping since it’s something I can do additionally while watching the broadcast.

There was no problem since I also have experience.

The misfortune that the nickname of an account that I hadn’t used for a long time turned out to be set to something incredibly embarrassing didn’t happen.

I’m kidding.

In the first broadcast I saw as a prospective editor, the account with the nickname SolEun didn’t have to wield the sword attached next to the nickname either.

It was a broadcast that proceeded peacefully.

In that it was with a vastly increased number of viewers compared to 8 days ago, and that it was being maintained, I felt a little more certainty once again.

The broadcast ended about 7 hours later.

EunSiyu, who had gained about 100 points with 6 consecutive wins, announced the end of the broadcast in a voice with a blossoming smile.

I also turned off the computer and went up to the bed to sleep.

With the premonition that even though the title attached to the role has changed, things would continue to flow with these ordinary and enjoyable things in the future.

However, when I got out of bed the next day and checked my contacts as usual, I realized that my premonition was a little off.

[Yu Sieun: By any chance, would you like to have a meal together on the day we talked about before? I thought it would be nice to talk while doing that!]

[Yu Sieun: If it’s okay with you, I’ll go to a place that’s convenient for you…! Since it’s a day off, I’m okay with any time as long as it’s not a late dinner!]

It was a message filled with long content, but the meaning it contained was simple.

I’ll adjust to everything, so don’t refuse.

It’s not something I dislike.

Of course, it was a happy thing to the point where my heart was pounding.

Originally, I would have been so surprised at what had happened at the moment I received this message that I would have frozen.

‘Uh………?’

The fact that my body was frozen was the same even now.

But, it was a freezing mixed with a little worry, not pure joy.

‘I haven’t been outside.’

Commonly known as Parallel World Ha Eunsol.

Ha Eunsol, a 20-year-old woman, had never been outside for 6 weeks since starting her stay-at-home life, except for when she went out quickly to throw away the trash.

‘……But, you’re going to refuse this?’

But it was a proposal that could not be refused.

Aside from EunSiyu’s intention in the message that she definitely wanted me to accept, I also didn’t want to miss the proposal to meet in reality and have a meal.

Ideals and the limits of ability that block it.

I made a human-like impulsive choice in that situation.

It’s a fact that EunSiyu at this point in time would feel a little creepy about if she knew, but I roughly knew where she lived.

If what the Parallel World Future EunSiyu herself mentioned in my memory was true.

Of course, I don’t know the building, just the neighborhood, but it’s enough information for the calculation.

Whether I go or EunSiyu comes, it’s not that far.

Wouldn’t this be okay?

As if possessed, I wrote a message of acceptance.

And I regretted it three hours later.

The thought that it would have been right to just say that I was busy because I had to edit flashed through my head.

EunSiyu didn’t have any other broadcasters that she could call friends for most of the time since she started broadcasting.

There are no flaws in the human Yu Sieun, but to have a friend as a broadcaster, other opportunities besides human charm were needed.

But that’s also a thing of the past.

Yu Sieun had someone she could ask questions about when she was worried, although it was limited to broadcasting-related matters.

Pick-up.

The broadcaster who had offered Yu Sieun herself to participate in the 10-person internal war 8 days ago.

We were on different teams in the internal war itself, so there was nothing that could be called a point of contact, but I received a separate contact through Discord a day after the internal war ended.

A message with the content that I hoped there would be many opportunities to broadcast together often in the future.

At the same time, an invitation to a server where broadcasters were gathered in huge numbers.

A few days later, he proved that his words were not just greetings by calling me to the streamer’s four-person queue once again.

Whether that day had a feeling like some kind of final test, I was also asked once if I had any thoughts of appearing in the content he would be doing in the future.

When I accepted, a closing message followed, saying thank you and that if there were any difficult parts in broadcasting, please feel free to tell me and I would help as much as I could.

‘Hmm…?’

Yu Sieun was thinking of lightly touching that card now.

He’s a broadcaster with a long career.

Since he’s someone who also runs a pretty big YouTube channel, he probably knows the negotiations with editors well.

Yu Sieun summarized her worries and sent them as a Discord message.

Hoping that the story about broadcasting worries was not just a greeting.

The reply that came about 5 minutes later contained simple content.

Isn’t it good if the editor cuts the conditions themselves?

Yu Sieun added a brief explanation.

This is someone who has done so many roles since the fan YouTube channel, so I don’t think it’s right for me to take all the YouTube shares.

But the editor is refusing a little stubbornly, so I have the feeling that it will keep bothering me even if I listen to you.

The read mark on the message came up quickly, but this time the reply took longer, about 10 minutes.

The content of the reply was as follows.

[Why don’t you just meet and have a meal and talk openly? I think that would be better than messenger. Actually, I don’t know well. Because I’ve never done that before.]

‘Hmm….’

Yu Sieun did the impulsive action of a human who faced a problem that wasn’t being solved and got a clue to the answer.

After thinking for a moment, ending the thought process with, “Oh… good!”, and moving on to action.

‘Ah, wait. Me…?’

It was the process by which the reality meeting of two 6-week-old homebodies was promised.
