Chapter 110: Full Of Energy And Vigor

Violet’s growth speed is really astonishing.

From initially needing time to act even after hearing Jiang Cha’s commands, she’s now able to follow orders to the letter and even make autonomous judgments about the battlefield, preparing spells in advance. And this progress only took a single day and ten battles.

Magical girls’ combat talent is ingrained in their souls. Jiang Cha went from having no combat experience to becoming a capable commander in just a few months. Violet, serving merely as the squad’s artillery, already has exceptionally high combat talent. At this rate, she could easily become a fully competent team member before the Camilla Cup begins.

In fact, teamwork among magical girls doesn’t need the same kind of long-term daily training as humans. Usually, magical girls with combat experience need only three to five days to adapt to a new squad, and veteran grand witches like Carol and Vladimir can coordinate seamlessly without any adjustment period. Simple communication suffices for them to execute highly sophisticated coordination.

Of course, long-term training to develop familiarity isn’t useless, but with Jiang Cha acting as the command hub, even the years-long synergy of Daisy’s team only gives them a slight edge in coordination speed. Beyond that, the returns diminish, making extended training largely unnecessary.

“Great performance today! Violet, do you enjoy battles?”

After a full day of combat, Jiang Cha was fine, but Mephist, whose magical power isn’t as high, was exhausted. After such high-intensity battles, her mana nearly collapsed. Although any physical damage could be healed with a regeneration potion, the extreme fatigue left her slumped in her chair, too tired to speak.

“It’s so much fun!” Jiang Cha replied.

The little girl’s energy was still boundless. Her magical capacity and intensity were even higher than Jiang Cha’s, so the intense battles that drained Mephist barely affected her. It was as if the experience slightly increased her mana capacity as well.

“Of course! And I can even find more opponents for you to play with!” Jiang Cha glanced at the exhausted Mephist with some guilt but couldn’t refuse the little girl’s sparkling, expectant eyes.

Although grand witches generally have far more magical power than young witches, Jiang Cha and Violet were no ordinary cases. By the end of this BO10 series, even Daisy’s team would need several days to recover. They had only agreed to this sparring session during their vacation to earn some pocket money, not for high-intensity training.

As Daisy herself put it:
“Damn… I’m too old to keep up with you energetic youngsters. Ow—my old back…”

“Jiang Cha, where did you learn that sword technique? Almost cut my kidneys in half!”

Well, of course, from Misa! Jiang Cha learned and applied techniques quickly, repaying any setbacks immediately in battle—though this particular case was slightly unconventional. Daisy, as the team captain, had to take responsibility for her team’s mistakes.

“Yay!! Jiang Cha, you’re the best!! Can we continue tomorrow? I’m totally fine!”

The little girl hugged Jiang Cha tightly, making the latter’s expression twitch slightly, like a fish washed ashore by waves—wanting to say something but unable to.

“Don’t worry, senior, I’ll bring you two bottles of potions tomorrow.”

Hearing Mephist’s magical message, Jiang Cha looked up in surprise, slightly suspicious yet also hopeful. The fatigue ingrained in a magical girl’s soul isn’t easily erased—this is part of their nature, separating life into extremes: fervor and wisdom, corresponding to war and research. Normal potions couldn’t eliminate such fatigue; only high-level potions by master alchemists could help.

But… what if there’s a way?

Magic potions aren’t fixed—only high-tier standard potions work for most cases. But for Mephist’s condition, a mid-level potion master could customize a potion to restore her completely. Such customization is generally more expensive than buying standard potions due to the effort involved, which explains why Mephist hadn’t thought of it earlier.

“Really? Won’t it take up too much of your time?”

“Ah? Not at all!”

The little girl blinked innocently, seeming somewhat puzzled, but Mephist relaxed, even feeling a bit excited. After witnessing Jiang Cha’s miraculous capabilities, her trust was complete.

The next morning, a still-sleepy Mephist, rare to see so unrefined, arrived at the combat club with the little girl, only to see Jiang Cha already waiting casually.

“Good morning, Jiang Cha. Sorry you get to see me in such an ungraceful state.”

“No problem at all.”

The little girl tilted her head, observing the usually elegant and composed white-haired noble witch in this vulnerable state—she felt a flutter in her heart. Mephist really was beautiful, especially as a noble witch. Seeing her, always maintaining poise, suddenly showing a new expression during growing familiarity, was fascinating and satisfying in a way that awakened conquest instincts.

‘I might be overthinking this.’

Having slept only three hours, she slightly adjusted her magical power to wake herself up, then took two bottles of potion from her spatial bracelet.

“Senior, drink this! It will make you energetic and full of desire!”

Mephist, slightly bewildered by the cute tone, took the potion without hesitation and drank it. Immediately…

The white-haired noble witch’s face flushed red, her legs clamped tightly together, showing a mixture of embarrassment and indescribable expression. Her usual lazy aura vanished.

“What kind of potion is this!?”
