Chapter 112: Helen Reunited

After a trade fair with real demonstrations, business at Jiang Cha’s little witch shop finally started to pick up.

Battle witches had always been affected by emotional imbalance—they used to cope on their own, either by resting or studying, just pushing through. After all, the high-end products on the market were designed to fix extreme imbalances; using them for minor daily fluctuations would be wasteful—and they couldn’t afford it anyway.

Jiang Cha’s service, however, was really cheap. Even including labor costs, a single session cost only about 300 coins. Spending a little money to get into an optimal state, perform better in battles, and train more effectively—what witch would refuse that?

So Jiang Cha kept busy all day, adjusting the states of most witches in the battle club before finally catching a break.

“Cha Bao, Cha Bao, I heard you’ve caused another big stir! What is it this time? Steel Carrots or Undead Plague?”

“Neither,” the girl said, rolling her eyes and collapsing onto the sofa, looking exhausted.

“This time I developed… the ‘Shase’ potion.”

“Give me a hundred bottles!”

The golden-haired little girl’s eyes lit up, and she jumped onto Jiang Cha’s side with a single clap.

Meanwhile, He Qin watched silently: “…Really… that kind of thing?”

She couldn’t understand why Jiang Cha was so interested in these things. On the surface, she looked pure and obedient, so why…?

“Just kidding! The essence is the same, but the effects are different, okay?”

Seeing He Qin looking convinced, Jiang Cha quickly denied it, then took a blue potion from her spatial ring and handed it over:

She also handed two bottles to Lina:

“Great!”

The golden-haired little girl didn’t hesitate at all. She seemed oddly familiar with the Shase potion, giving a knowing smile.

These kinds of potions usually require a magical wood called Trins Tree as a key ingredient, which has a naturally distinctive scent. Experienced witches could tell a pure Shase potion just by the smell. Generally, whether a witch is pure or not could be inferred from familiarity with this scent—like ordinary girls wouldn’t blush at the smell of heather.

But Lina was bound to be disappointed this time. Jiang Cha had used Trins Tree in the potion, but in very small quantities. Its magical effects were deliberately weakened to a negligible level.

Drinking it would feel much like taking a melatonin pill when you can’t sleep. It was effective, but didn’t require strong willpower—just waiting a little while would let the effect pass.

“Cha Bao, this effect isn’t enough. Kind of underwhelming.”

“You didn’t really drink it, did you? This potion is for adjusting emotions, not… what you think it is.”

Of course, she hadn’t. Lina hadn’t even reached puberty yet; where would she have that kind of experience? She just spent a lot of time online and learned too many strange things.

“Huh… well, it does work, actually.”

Even though she hadn’t gone to the battle club that day, Lina had heard about the recent commotion Jiang Cha caused there. Her earlier comment was just teasing.

Lina’s real goal was just curiosity—she wanted to snag a bottle of the supposedly miraculous potion from Jiang Cha and see what all the fuss was about.

After seeing all the other witches’ reactions:

  • “Feels so good… after drinking it, I even wanted to… give my teammate to me…?”

  • “Effect is really nice, I’ll buy again next time. That jerk was screaming all morning.”

“Hey, hey, say where it was screaming!”

“Uh… I can’t say, but it really worked.”

Were there any pure first-year members in the battle club?

Anyway, under this mix of tacit understanding and mischievous praise, Jiang Cha’s potion sales skyrocketed in a strange direction.

But the girl didn’t care—after all, within Aislen Academy, the potion’s customers were mainly battle club members, so it didn’t affect total sales.

The head of the potion club, however, kept looking for her, seemingly wanting to buy the rights to sell and produce the potion. Jiang Cha, though, hadn’t finished organizing the experimental manual or writing usable teaching material, so she wasn’t ready to let it spread widely.

Yes, potions and alchemical products are different. To sell this publicly, it would require clinical trials and safety testing.

“What? You say Jiang Cha just let a bunch of people try it right after developing it?”

You must be joking—those were voluntary testers, and Cha Bao only charged 200 coins.

“Cha Bao, you really are such a witch sometimes,” the golden-haired girl said with a dumbfounded look.

—In witch culture, saying someone is “such a witch” is a subtle way of calling them heartless.

“…Cha Bao, last night you said you wanted me to help you find a sparring partner, right? Well, my sister came back, so I brought her over!”

The next morning, at the battle club, Lina said with a grin to Jiang Cha.

Yesterday’s plans had been delayed by unexpected circumstances. The little girl hadn’t thrown a tantrum, but she was a little disappointed.

Also, Daisy’s team had gone on vacation after a one-day delay, so Jiang Cha asked Lina, who had great social connections, to find a new team as a sparring opponent.

But she never expected Lina’s sister to be this witch.

“Hello~ my love, we meet again~”

Her voluptuous body, seductive tone, and aggressive gaze…

Even seeing her for less than five minutes, which felt like months, Jiang Cha deeply remembered this witch.

Well… after waking up from amnesia, she saw this woman straddling her—hard to forget.

“…H-Helen… long time no see?”

But Jiang Cha didn’t expect this woman to actually be Lina’s sister.

Looking at Lina—gold hair, red eyes, cute and young face, flat figure—then at Helen—black hair, purple eyes, mature exotic charm, voluptuous body…

It was impossible to believe they were sisters.

“Helen is my cousin. Don’t let her appearance fool you; she’s actually really nice. I didn’t expect you to have some kind of thing with my cousin either.”

Lina noticed Jiang Cha’s confusion and explained to Mephist.

“N-No… absolutely not.”

Jiang Cha watched Helen lick her lips, like she had spotted prey, and felt a bit overwhelmed.

—She seemed to know whose style Lina learned all those dirty jokes from.
