Mo Liang cursed Xu Lingxue eight hundred times in her head. She didn’t dare say it out loud. She just stood there, small fists clenched.
“Then let’s get you washed first, my little pet.”
Xu Lingxue reached out and lightly caught Mo Liang’s wrist with her fingers.
“Mm.”
Mo Liang nodded obediently, as if all her strength to resist had been drained. She let Xu Lingxue lead her by the hand toward the bathroom.
‘It wasn’t the first time this woman had seen her naked anyway,’ she thought with resignation.
When they reached the bathroom, Mo Liang stood on the tile floor. She glanced at Xu Lingxue, then lowered her head and silently took off her clothes one piece at a time, folded them neatly, and placed them on the rack beside her.
Her movements were obedient. Not a word wasted.
“Miss…”
She had just started to say it when she looked up and met Xu Lingxue’s cold eyes. She swallowed the last two syllables and hurriedly corrected herself.
“Master, can I take that thing off?”
“Mm. Don’t move. I’ll take it off for you.” Xu Lingxue walked up to her and slowly crouched.
Mo Liang froze in place, not even daring to breathe hard.
When the thing was finally removed, a tiny spark of joy lit in her heart. She hadn’t hidden the expression in time, and Xu Lingxue caught it.
“Happy?”
Xu Lingxue stood and looked at that foolish face that couldn’t hide its delight. She reached out and patted Mo Liang’s little cheek. It felt soft and bouncy, so she couldn’t resist pinching it again.
Mo Liang immediately lowered her head, not daring to show any expression.
“Go wash.” Xu Lingxue withdrew her hand, paused, then suddenly added, “Never mind. I’ll help you wash.”
“No need, Master…”
But Mo Liang’s refusal meant nothing.
Xu Lingxue didn’t give her a choice. She rolled up her sleeves, picked up the showerhead, and started rinsing her.
To be fair, Xu Lingxue washed her thoroughly.
But Mo Liang still felt stiff all over. Every inch of skin tensed unconsciously whenever the other woman’s fingers brushed past. Once or twice she couldn’t help making a strange sound, then quickly bit her lip.
Luckily, the bath was over quickly.
Mo Liang was brought to the bedroom. Xu Lingxue casually tossed her a clean, pretty little white dress.
Then she turned and went into the bathroom herself.
Helping that little blonde wash had gotten her soaked too, so she needed a shower.
Mo Liang stood in place, listening to the water running in the bathroom.
Just thinking about Xu Lingxue’s fingertips sliding over her body during the bath made her tremble uncontrollably.
Especially when Xu Lingxue had told her to lower her head to rinse her hair. For a moment, she thought Xu Lingxue was going to push her underwater.
But she had overthought it. Nothing like that happened. Xu Lingxue simply rinsed her hair normally, and even put some conditioner in it.
After putting on the little white dress Xu Lingxue had tossed her, Mo Liang sat obediently on the edge of the bed. She held up the hair dryer and blow-dried her wet blonde hair with a hum.
While drying it, she stole glances around the bedroom.
Black, white, and gray. On the nightstand sat only a minimalist lamp and a book left open halfway. The huge room felt empty.
It was high-end, no doubt. It was also cold and empty, no doubt.
But Mo Liang stubbornly thought, this was Xu Lingxue’s room after all.
If some random passerby lived in a place decorated like this, she would only find it dull and empty. What high-end feel?
“Meow!”
A soft cat cry came from the doorway. Mo Liang, still dazed, jumped so hard she almost shoved the hair dryer into her face.
She turned and saw a snow-white kitten squatting at the door. Its round blue eyes examined her, the uninvited guest, with curiosity.
Beside the kitten lay a dusty little brown dog. Its tail thumped the floor now and then.
Mo Liang stared at the two small creatures by the door, her expression complicated.
‘Xu Lingxue raised these?’
‘Xu Lingxue actually kept pets?’
Honestly, Mo Liang didn’t like cats or dogs much.
What was the point of raising things like that? They wasted food and energy. You raised them with effort, and one day they might just be gone.
Of course, this had nothing to do with the dog she had raised as a child.
She remembered that dog was a yellow mongrel. It used to follow at Mo Liang’s heels every day, wagging its tail. Later, some man her mother brought home butchered it and stewed it into a pot of dog meat.
‘Forget it. Don’t think about that.’
Mo Liang pulled her gaze away from the two little things and kept blow-drying her hair absentmindedly.
Then again, this little white cat was quite cute. Nothing like that pervert Xu Lingxue.
This little kitty wasn’t shy at all. It toddled over on four short legs, plopped down by Mo Liang’s feet, and lifted its fluffy white head. Its blue eyes stared at her curiously.
Mo Liang was barefoot now. She had taken off her shoes during the bath, and Xu Lingxue wouldn’t let her put them back on.
She didn’t know what perverted hobby that was, forcing someone to walk barefoot on the floor.
She looked down at the two little things around her feet. The white cat was well behaved, just squatting there and watching her.
The little brown dog was not so honest. It came over and nuzzled the back of her foot with its wet nose, then stuck out its tongue to lick.
‘Perverted little dog.’
‘Just like its owner.’
Mo Liang expressionlessly moved her foot aside, dodging the dog’s tongue, then without thinking, gently kicked it.
The force was light. Her toes barely touched the dog’s belly before she pulled back.
After all, even when hitting a dog, you had to consider its owner. She didn’t dare actually hurt Xu Lingxue’s dog now.
After being kicked away, the little dog didn’t learn its lesson. It thought Mo Liang was playing with it. Its tail wagged like a propeller as it scurried back.
“Perverted little dog!”
Mo Liang cursed in embarrassment and anger. She quickly pulled her feet up and shrank onto the bed, her pale legs curled under the dress.
She hugged her knees in the corner of the bed and glared at the little brown dog still wagging its tail below, muttering curses.
“Woof! Woof!”
The little brown dog squatted by the bed and barked twice up at Mo Liang.
The kitty beside it shot it a disdainful look, stood, and walked to the doorway with elegant cat steps. Then it curled into a snow-white ball.
