Chapter 28: A Morning with Mulee Hua

Votila’s consciousness returned to reality, a dull ache in his mind serving as a reminder that what had just happened was not an illusion.

Suddenly, he realized that the energy he had expended from overusing the Golden Eye had been completely restored, and it was even more abundant than before. This filled him with surprise and confusion.

Could this be the fabled ‘mana restoration’?

Votila didn’t understand the mechanism, but he definitely felt that he had drawn power from that girl.

However, the feeling of energy being replenished was indeed quite comfortable.

Speaking of which, Votila had once engaged in an unknown manner with that unnamed girl, and had been completely overwhelmed.

This incident left him feeling quite frustrated. After transforming into a black cat, he not only lost his magic but also found his soul to be much weaker than before.

Moreover, that white-haired girl was indeed very strong. The skills she used left Votila deeply intrigued.

Soul attacks achieved through eye contact—this was a secret technique unique to dragons.

The pressure of a wise dragon…

A wise dragon?

Votila suddenly found it amusing. A thousand years ago, he remembered being called the ‘idle dragon’ by his kin. This nickname implied being an ‘oddball’ among dragons, someone who didn’t fit in.

He lacked the destructive and collecting instincts common to his kind, wandering aimlessly across the continent, occasionally passing through prosperous human kingdoms without ever causing conflict.

Gradually, the term ‘idle dragon’ began to be replaced with ‘wise dragon,’ as he seemed like a sage with no desires, appearing as a saint who had transcended all worldly matters.

Of course, Votila was officially recognized as the ‘wise dragon’ when he gained the approval of the ancestral dragon on the throne of the dragon sanctuary.

It was from that point on that significant changes began to occur within the dragon community.

Dragons were strong, recognized as the most powerful combat race on the continent. However, within their ranks, there was a strict hierarchy.

Since Votila became the ‘wise dragon,’ only those noble ‘dragon kings’ with ancient and pure bloodlines were permitted to call themselves wise.

In fact, most dragons followed the creed of evil, and none of the dragon kings ever referred to themselves as ‘wise.’

Thus, Votila found it laughable that the girl claimed to be a wise dragon. He didn’t recognize her.

For dragons to maintain a human form, they had to compress their energy and mass significantly, which was very draining and limited their power.

In Votila’s memory, hardly any giant dragon ever chose to remain in human form for extended periods. It was truly laughable that the wise dragon had become so undignified.

Votila chuckled to himself as he noticed he was still lying on the familiar bed. The soft bedding carried a faint scent of lavender.

This familiar aroma, this familiar fragrance—this was Mulee Hua’s bed. Had she carried me here after I fell asleep on the table?

Realizing this, Votila stretched lazily and licked his paw.

“Nana~~”

At that moment, Votila heard a soft, gentle coo. He turned his head to see a pair of water-blue eyes.

Had the girl woken up? Votila thought.

The golden-haired girl lay on her side, her eyes half-open, her long lashes fluttering gently. She saw the black cat licking its paw and extended her fair, delicate arm to pull the fluffy black cat into her embrace.

“Good morning~~”

Eh?

Before Votila could react, he found himself enveloped in a warm space, filled with the gentle scent of a human girl.

No! Let go of me, human! I can’t breathe!

The black cat struggled in the girl’s embrace.

“Nana is so adorable~~!”

Mulee Hua pressed the black cat against her, stroking it repeatedly. She was like a little girl hugging her favorite plush toy, unwilling to let go.

Even more so.

The black cat felt a chill run down its spine as it sensed the girl’s intense desire to meld with it.

“Kitty~~”

Mulee Hua held the black cat up to her face, her eyes narrowing into a crescent moon shape, but Votila only felt a shiver of unease.

He finally realized that this girl was a terrifying cat lover—a cat lover so dedicated that even the aura of a giant dragon couldn’t deter her!

Mulee Hua held the black cat close to her face, her expression warm and inviting.

Let go of me, you terrifying cat lover!

Votila extended a small paw to protest!

“Mm~”

Mulee Hua gazed at the black cat’s small paw, the black palm holding a soft, glowing paw pad. When extended, the claws spread out like a morning idulium bloom, utterly enchanting.

So, the girl raised a hand, caught the black cat’s small paw, and pressed it against her face, burying her nose in the paw pad and inhaling deeply.

This single action sent the girl into a trance. Mulee Hua’s expression became rapturous, her hands unable to stop caressing the black cat before her. The soft fur conquered her senses.

From chin to belly, back to tail, every inch of the cat escaped her magic touch.

She seemed to have let go of herself, beginning with just her hands, then pressing her face close, inhaling deeply.

The soft fur of the cat’s belly, the gentle sensation against her face, was like the enchantment of a succubus.

The cat’s scent, a hint of forest earth, a touch of saliva from licking its fur, and a sweet dew-like fragrance—one breath, and all worries vanished, leaving a sense of blissful contentment.

For a cat lover, this experience was intoxicating.

However, Votila was quite uncomfortable, feeling every hair stand on end, a shiver of dread.

The hands roaming his body felt unnervingly sinister, more terrifying than witnessing a ghostly apparition by the lake.

Yet, why did he feel a strange sense of comfort? A mysterious force, tempting the cat to abandon itself.

Votila was truly frightened! Terrified!

He began to struggle fiercely, but the girl’s hands seemed imbued with a strange magic, making him feel weak all over.

Then, to his horror, he saw the girl’s face draw closer to his head. He could even feel the warm breath from her exhalations on his cat face.

Her cherry blossom-red lips parted gently, and she took Votila’s cat ear into her mouth.
