Chapter 5: The Unseen Opportunity.

For the past three days, Yu Sieun had been experiencing something that didn’t exist in her life of living with a bewildered feeling.

The starting point of this experience was on Tuesday evening.

Three days ago from now.

It wasn’t a scheduled broadcast day, which was usually one of the weekend days, but she turned on the broadcast briefly after getting off work.

Streamer EunSiyu, her broadcast was usually watched by a small number of viewers ranging from 10 to 30 people.

When she turned it on suddenly on weekdays, it was close to 10 people, and when she broadcasted at the originally scheduled time, it was close to 30 people.

The number of viewers for the Tuesday evening broadcast was not much different from usual either.

It was a broadcast where she was babbling and playing ranked games as usual.

The only thing that was a little different from usual was a chat message with content she had never seen before.

[I came from YouTube! The live broadcast is fun too!]

For broadcasters who run a YouTube channel, it’s a chat message that they might receive once a day, but there was a reason why this was Yu Sieun’s first experience.

‘…?’

I don’t have a YouTube channel.

In the first place, I’m broadcasting at a hobby level, and I don’t have the ability or energy to run a YouTube channel.

The moment when the human brain with great capabilities found a related memory was when the broadcast had just ended.

‘Could it be….’

There was an email asking if it was possible to use video sources for a YouTube fan channel.

I remembered sending it with the words that it was of course okay.

It was about 8 days ago.

‘Hmm…….’

Instead of turning on the computer again, Yu Sieun picked up the phone she had thrown on the bed.

She thought for a moment about what word to put in the search bar to find the YouTube channel that the viewer had mentioned earlier, and then typed in her broadcast name, EunSiyu, in the simplest way.

‘…It really exists.’

At the top of the search results, there was a channel.

EunSiyu fan channel.

300 subscribers.

When I touched the channel and went in, I saw the list of videos.

The oldest video was from 7 days ago, and the number of videos on the channel was 8.

‘Eh……?’

Videos between about 10 minutes and 15 minutes.

Looking at the titles, they were being edited in chronological order, starting with her first broadcast.

With a bewildered heart, Yu Sieun touched and watched the video that was presumed to be her first broadcast.

The sound from the phone’s speaker subsided 50 minutes later, when it was time to go to bed to be able to get up for work tomorrow.

It was the skill of a professional.

I’m an outsider when it comes to YouTube, but I’ve still heard about the average unit price.

If it’s a video of this length and quality… I thought the unit price per video would definitely exceed ₩200,000.

What was even more shocking was the cycle in which the videos were uploaded.

One a day.

Yu Sieun didn’t know exactly how much time and effort it would take to make that possible on a fan channel.

However, she knew that it was a work that had gone far beyond the realm of fan spirit and hobby.

‘…Let’s sleep.’

I had to force myself to close my eyes because I had to sleep for four hours, but I pressed the subscribe button.

When I got on the subway in the morning and picked up my phone, a notification popped up that a new video had been uploaded in the meantime.

That happened repeatedly.

Every day, even until now, standing on the way to work on Friday morning.

I knew who the editor of the channel was.

There was no other channel that dealt with her videos, so it was certain that it was the person who sent the email.

The email address written in the channel information was the same as the one she had received the inquiry from, so she was sure.

That person was sending her tremendous favor.

The word favor can be replaced with any other word with good meaning.

Fan spirit.

Good intentions.

Effort.

The only negative word that can be attached is burden.

‘What is it.’

It was a good thing to the point of being burdensome.

The person who was making videos like a factory on the fan channel was clearly a professional with experience.

But why would such a person stick to me and make videos?

Even without pay?

Even with that much passion?

When Yu Sieun thought of that, she felt like the burden was growing a little more, so she stopped thinking.

She ended her contemplation with the thought that she should just think of it as a very good thing, and got off the subway.

A subtle Friday morning feeling that was bewildering, pleasant, and burdensome.

That feeling, which was subtle but clearly in the realm of joy, was shattered when she received a notification in the evening.

[I don’t think it will be possible for Sieun to switch to a permanent position.

A senior employee will be coming in, so there are no vacancies…. I’m really sorry.

I’m so sorry that I’m giving you a grace period to work for another month until I quit……]

I don’t remember well how I wrapped things up and came back home after hearing that.

One thing was certain, that the fact that the heart that had seemed to be floating for several days could be plunged into a swamp was something that could happen in an instant.

If there are good things, bad things happen to balance them out.

Was it because there were good things to the point of being burdensome that bad things happened as much?

In the early hours of the morning when the day changed to Saturday, Yu Sieun sat crouched on the bed and thought that.

She had been hit by something so sudden.

But she had similar experience, so she knew what she had to do.

I have to find a new job.

I had become an experienced worker who had added one more line to my resume, so it would be a little easier than before.

I just need to turn on the computer right away, find out if there are any places looking for people… and go to interviews in places I can reach from tomorrow.

However, a strong sense of skepticism prevented me from getting up from the bed.

It couldn’t be helped.

‘…You said we’d work together for a long time.’

He was a boss who only said good things to me.

It was a workplace where I could finally feel like I was being recognized on the path I was walking.

‘…Lies.’

The phone notified me when I was shedding tears a little.

I bit my lip and checked to see if it was a contact from work, but it was a different notification.

Notifying me that another video had been uploaded to the fan channel.

‘……It’s 4 a.m.’

Midnight.

It was a time when people were asleep.

Unless I had something I had to do.

Or if I had something I had to do but could postpone.

But it seemed there was someone who hadn’t fallen asleep yet.

You’re good.

You have a sense….

The words the boss had said to Yu Sieun herself wouldn’t be complete lies.

It was just something that could be thrown away when a better option arose.

I only get this kind of thing in the field I’ve been looking at the longest, so I thought it would be nice to have a job where I can talk while playing games, so the broadcast I started simply….

The person who has seen countless people likes me this much.

Yu Sieun couldn’t fall asleep until the sun was just rising that day.

A few more tissues were gathered in a bunch on the bed.

I got out of bed around 7 o’clock.

It was the time I would have already left home to go to work if it were a normal day.

Yu Sieun sat in front of the monitor and waited for the power to turn on.

When the light turned on on the screen, I started moving the keyboard and mouse.

I opened a web browser and clicked on one of the addresses saved in my favorites.

It was a fan community that was given to each broadcaster’s channel.

I moved the mouse a few more times and opened a tab where I could write a post.

I quietly wrote a notice.

It was a notice that she would be broadcasting 6 days a week from now on.

A clear failure in the field of florist that I had originally dedicated myself to.

Hope and possibility that bloomed on the path I regarded as a hobby.

The danger of challenging without certainty.

My head was too complicated.

That was the reason to postpone the decision.

If it were another small-scale broadcaster, they would definitely grab this unprecedented opportunity when it appeared.

They would send an email and suggest if they could run YouTube together.

But I can’t do it now, Yu Sieun concluded in her complicated thoughts.

It was a choice that had to be made because I knew I was an inadequate human.

Let’s do our best.

If I can gain certainty myself, if the people who watch the broadcast still see potential in me until then……

Yu Sieun cut off the delusion.

Before talking about hope, let’s first try to achieve something.

About a little less than 4 weeks passed in that way.

The 800 followers had become 8,600, and the content that the fan channel’s videos contained had caught up with her live broadcast.

There’s no way there wouldn’t be enough people in a civil war that includes Treech’s famous broadcasters.

No matter how terrible the conditions overlap, absolutely.

[Oh… then do I need to find one more ADC and Jungler? Ah, it’s hard to balance.]

So this was definitely a situation created by a combination of several conditions close to good luck.

The reason I had another broadcast next to EunSiyu’s live broadcast was because I felt a strong intuition in my fingertips in that flow.

[Everyone, is there anyone you can call?]

When the sound was heard in my ear, I moved the keyboard and mouse as if possessed.

I sponsored ₩10,000 and wrote EunSiyu’s name in the message that could be sent together.

[EunSiyu? Ah… I know her. Should I suggest it to her?]

‘…You know her?’

When I heard a sentence that I couldn’t understand well, but was clearly good, I clenched my hands tightly and started praying.

The game that broadcasters gather to play is not a place to compete for skills.

It’s a broadcast to give fun.

They don’t just call people because they have the right tier, but they only gather people whose senses and fun have been verified to some extent.

That’s why I sent the message to get even a very low possibility.

The hands I had clenched together started to tremble a little.

At the same time, a coolness swept through.

On the broadcast screen on the right, EunSiyu was queuing for a ranked game.

Don’t get in the queue.

Please check the chat messages, and accept the suggestion………

[Oh? Is that the real one?]

[Ah, I’m that ADC!]

[A civil war?]

A few times of talking with one person through the broadcast chat and one person through the microphone.

[Yes! I’ll try it…!]

EunSiyu accepted the suggestion.

With a bright voice full of passion.
