The message, sent in red font, inexplicably exuded a chilling, blood-soaked terror, despite being a perfectly normal shade of crimson.
“Everyone, please stop bothering Teacher Matsui. As students, our duty is to diligently complete the assignments given by our teacher, not to speak carelessly. [Serious]“ Asakura Mirai sent another message.
“You… are you really Asakura Mirai?” Bai Yuliang sent a message, feeling cold sweat trickle down his back.
Asakura Mirai: “Of course, Yuliang-kun. You’re so perceptive! Just as you said, I truly did encounter a bloody disaster! You’re amazing! [Adoring]“
“Motherf*cker!” Bai Yuliang couldn’t help but blurt out one of his father’s favorite curses, feeling as though the world had begun to unravel into absurdity.
This guy had died just yesterday, yet he was still sending messages.
“Who are you?! Don’t impersonate Mirai-kun! [Angry 🤬]“
“You’re a hacker, aren’t you! Get out! [Angry 🤬]“
“Stop playing pranks! [Angry 🤬]”
The students left a flurry of comments, all convinced that someone had deliberately logged into Asakura Mirai’s account to play a malicious joke.
However, the subsequent message startled everyone even further.
“Asakura-kun, your homework was very poorly done. I hope to see improvement next time.”
Another blood-curdling message appeared in the group—this one from Teacher Matsui.
Asakura Mirai: “I’m sorry, Teacher. I know I was wrong. I finally understand your painstaking efforts now. [Apologetic 🙇]“
Teacher Matsui: “Mm, it’s good to correct your mistakes. Everyone should learn from Asakura-kun’s spirit. [Smiling 🙂]”
Although the conversation in the group chat seemed perfectly normal, the actual circumstances sent shivers down everyone’s spines.
A dead person was cheerfully conversing with their murderer, and the victim even claimed to finally understand the teacher’s painstaking efforts?
What was this supposed to be?
Bai Yuliang desperately wanted to block these two, but he dared not face the consequences of such an action.
What if he died?
Teacher Matsui: “I haven’t assigned any homework since yesterday. I’m sure everyone can’t wait, right? [Smiling 🙂]”
“No!”
“No homework!”
“I hate doing homework!”
“+1” “+1” “+1”
The students frantically sent messages, filled with dread.
Teacher Matsui: “Alright, this is all for the sake of your learning! Get ready, I’ll be posting new homework soon!”
Everyone exchanged glances, sighing in resignation. Many girls were already huddled together, trembling, fearing they would be the next target.
“Yuliang-kun…”
Nishionji Mitsuki, from the desk in front, looked at Bai Yuliang with a hint of fear. Her pale lips said it all, needing no further words.
“Relax. I secretly read your fortune just now; you won’t be chosen next,” Bai Yuliang offered her a reassuring smile.
Yet, only he knew he was lying. From that day forward, he was utterly incapable of divining anything.
Nevertheless, his words offered Nishionji Mitsuki a sliver of comfort. The timid class representative, with her black-rimmed glasses and braided hair, seemed to relax slightly.
Teacher Matsui: “Keita Funami, grope Reiko Takeda’s chest. Reward for success: 50,000 yen (approx. 2570 RMB). Punishment for failure: mauled to death by a rabid dog. Time limit: 2 hours.”
Keita Funami was an exceptionally bright student in the class, usually seen wearing glasses and appearing very honest, perhaps even a little timid.
However, Reiko Takeda was a different story. She wasn’t a student, but rather the music teacher for the third-year high school students.
She was tall and beautiful, often coming to school dressed in black stockings and professional attire. Many students considered her their dream crush, and some bolder ones had even sent her love letters.
But Reiko Takeda had a very hot-tempered boyfriend: the physical education teacher, Musashida Hikari.
He was an incredibly fierce teacher, and everyone usually dared only to walk around him when they saw him.
If Keita Funami actually dared to grope his girlfriend’s chest, he would likely be beaten severely by the teacher, or even expelled from school.
Upon seeing this assignment, Keita Funami instantly turned ashen, sitting frozen in his seat, overwhelmed with terror.
The second period soon began, and it happened to be music class. Everyone filed into the music room.
Bai Yuliang watched Teacher Takeda elegantly playing the piano at the front of the classroom, then glanced at Keita Funami, who was trembling in the back. He sighed inwardly, feeling helpless.
Teacher Matsui’s assignments seemed designed to twist human nature, pushing once-normal students one by one towards their breaking point.
“Everyone is very attentive in class today!”
Teacher Takeda stopped playing, a troubled expression on her face as she addressed everyone.
“Am I not teaching well?”
“No, no!”
“Teacher Takeda teaches wonderfully.”
“We were just distracted…”
“Ah…”
Teacher Takeda sighed, glanced at the clock, and said with resignation.
“Then that’s all for today. If you have any questions, you can stay after class and ask me. Class dismissed.”
Everyone exchanged glances, then walked out of the music room with their heads bowed.
Bai Yuliang noticed Keita Funami’s legs trembling, looking very conflicted, as if unsure whether to leave with the others or stay to complete the task.
His helpless gaze swept across his classmates, but no one dared to look at him, all silently looking down.
Just as Keita Funami was still deliberating, Teacher Takeda gently patted his shoulder and spoke to him kindly.
“What’s wrong, Keita-kun? You look unwell. Did something happen?”
Bai Yuliang had already exited the classroom, quietly pulling the music room door shut.
His heart felt heavy, yet he seemed to anticipate the impending outcome.
Opening his phone, he checked the time, thinking to himself that it must be time.
“Ah—”
As expected, moments later, a sharp scream echoed from the music room, followed by a resounding slap.
Bai Yuliang saw Teacher Takeda run out of the classroom, eyes red and furious, quickly leaving without a backward glance.
After a long while, Keita Funami emerged from the music room, head bowed and crestfallen, like a beggar who had just lost both parents.
Bai Yuliang noticed the palm print on his face, sighed inwardly, shook his head, and walked away.

During lunch break, everyone in the classroom whispered amongst themselves, discussing what had just happened.
“Hey, hey, it seems Keita really did grope Teacher Takeda’s chest!”
“Ha, that guy has some nerve, actually going through with it.”
“Yeah, I heard he’s from a single-parent family, his mom sells takoyaki to put him through school. I can’t believe he’d do something like this.”
“He usually seems so honest, yet he dared to do such a thing.”
“You really can’t judge a book by its cover!”
“Um… is it really okay for you to talk like that?” Nishionji Mitsuki, the class representative, said in a small voice. “Keita-kun only did it because of the assignment; he had no choice.”
“Ha, who knows? Maybe he’d wanted to grope her for a long time, and this assignment was just an opportunity.”
Several male students chuckled as they spoke.
Nishionji Mitsuki wanted to say more, but seeing their expressions, she ultimately closed her mouth in silence.
‘Tsk…’ Bai Yuliang narrowed his eyes slightly, scrutinizing the malicious gossips.
They were a small clique within the class, each with terrible personalities. Had it not been for their parents’ power and status, they wouldn’t even be studying at this school.
They were also the ones who had previously ostracized Bai Yuliang.
“Speaking of which, what do you think will happen to Keita?”
“Ha, do you even need to ask? He’ll definitely be beaten severely by Teacher Musashi and then expelled!”
“But at least he still got to grope Teacher Takeda’s chest. How nice~”
“Indeed, indeed. From what I saw, Teacher Takeda seems quite well-endowed, at least a 36D.”
“Ooh-hoo, that makes me want to take on a task!”
“Hahaha! I hope the next task is even more explosive. Just groping chests isn’t exciting enough!”
Listening to their increasingly unrestrained discussion, Bai Yuliang felt annoyed. He simply picked up his bento box and walked out of the classroom, intending to eat outside.
As he walked, he inexplicably found himself in front of the rooftop door.
‘Might as well eat on the rooftop,’ he thought.
The rooftop was usually locked, prohibiting students from going up without reason.
However, this was no challenge for Bai Yuliang. Having honed his skills in lock-picking over many years in another place, he was quite adept.
A high school student who couldn’t pick locks wasn’t a good Taoist.
With just a few pokes of a toothpick, the door clanged open.
Yet, just as he was about to enjoy his bento, he spotted an unexpected figure on the rooftop.
