Chapter 94: The Truth Revealed

“The truth? Are you implying… it was me who initiated it?”

Su Mian almost burst into angry laughter, tears still clinging to her eyelashes. She looked both utterly pitiful and fiercely stubborn.

“Could it possibly be that I forced you?!”

Xiao Moyuan nodded with utmost seriousness, even raising a brow. “Little fox, for once, you’ve been rather clever.”

Su Mian: ……

She was utterly speechless, completely stunned by the man’s audacity.

How could such a brazen individual exist in this world?

He had taken such an immense advantage, yet could still shamelessly turn the tables and blame her without a flicker of expression!

“You… you pervert!”

She trembled with rage, her finger pointed accusingly at Xiao Moyuan, her voice thick with tears.

“You investigating me is one thing, but you actually want to ‘train’ me? You’ve already transformed me into a girl, and now, you’re fabricating such an outrageous lie just to make me cater to your twisted preferences!”

Her cheeks burned crimson with anger and humiliation.

It was hardly her fault for misinterpreting the situation. A man inviting you to watch an ‘R-rated film’ starring himself and involving you—anyone would perceive it as a crude, humiliating form of flirtation.

Xiao Moyuan observed her agitated and aggrieved expression, then helplessly rubbed his temples.

‘Forget it. It seems futile to explain anything to this little fox, trapped as she is in her own logical loop.’

He said no more. Instead, he simply picked up his phone, expertly unlocked it, and navigated to the surveillance software. He quickly located the video file recorded last night, precisely dragging the timeline to the moment the key events began.

“See for yourself.”

He turned the phone screen towards her, his tone returning to its usual calm. “Seeing is believing.”

With that, he rose to his feet with unexpected gallantry and walked directly out of the bedroom, even thoughtfully closing the door behind him.

A soft ‘click’ echoed, plunging the room into an eerie silence.

Only the phone remained, silently playing back the events of last night.

Su Mian had initially resolved not to look at this ‘filthy’ thing, yet a deep-seated curiosity about ‘the truth’ had been piqued within her. It scratched at her heart like a kitten’s claws.

Her memory of last night was a complete blank after that forced kiss. She desperately wanted to know what had transpired afterward to lead to this irreversible situation.

After much hesitation, she finally couldn’t resist. Cautiously, she shuffled to the edge of the bed.

At first, she covered her eyes, daring only to peek through her fingers.

On the phone screen, the footage played with startling clarity.

It was precisely the moment Xiao Moyuan had pinned her against the door and forcibly kissed her. Seeing this, Su Mian’s heart clenched, and shame and indignation surged through her once more.

She remembered this part. She recalled that as they kissed, a strange sense of comfort and drowsiness had overcome her, causing her consciousness to gradually fade until she finally drifted off to sleep?

How eerily similar this was to that other time she had mysteriously fallen asleep in Xiao Moyuan’s car!

‘Could it be…’

Driven by intense unease and curiosity, she suppressed the overwhelming shame, lowered her hands, and stared wide-eyed at the screen.

In the footage, their kiss continued. But gradually, things began to shift in an unsettling way.

Xiao Moyuan’s expression, initially domineering and cold, slowly softened, becoming peaceful. Even the hideous, dark green veins protruding on his face, a result of the curse, visibly faded and receded before her very eyes!

In contrast, the ‘her’ on screen… Su Mian’s face flushed crimson. The ‘her’ in the video had flushed cheeks, and her eyes, initially wide with terror and resistance, gradually became hazy and unfocused, as if veiled by a mist.

She unconsciously arched her back, pressing closer to Xiao Moyuan. Her arms even wrapped around his neck of their own accord, her clumsy yet bold response… looked suspiciously like she was… reciprocating?

Moreover, her dazed eyes twinkled with tiny hearts.

It was at this moment that something astonishing occurred—

From the top of her head, with a soft ‘poof,’ a pair of fluffy, snow-white fox ears suddenly sprouted!

Immediately afterward, three soft, bushy white fox tails quietly unfurled and appeared!

Xiao Moyuan seemed to notice her transformation and the peculiar effect of his curse being suppressed. He paused, his movements faltering, as if intending to pull away and end the kiss.

However, in the very next second, the sight that made Su Mian wish she could stab her own eyes out unfolded: the ‘her’ in the video, her newest and most agile fox tail, shot out as if it possessed its own will.

It deftly coiled around Xiao Moyuan’s lean waist, holding him fast, preventing his escape!

The subsequent footage… Su Mian’s face grew hotter with every passing moment, her heart pounding as if it would leap from her throat.

The ‘her’ on the screen was like a completely different person… No, she was a beast utterly dominated by her fox demon instincts!

She actively, with a sense of impatient urgency, shed all the restraints of her clothing.

All of the ‘truth’ was now laid bare.

Su Mian was utterly stunned, all strength drained from her. She slumped softly onto the cold floor, her mind blank, her ears ringing.

What Xiao Moyuan had said… it was actually true.

It really had been her who initiated it.

And what’s more, in such a… deeply humiliating manner.

She had been so certain that she was the victim—forced, retaliated against, innocently stripped of her male identity.

Yet, this ironclad video evidence mercilessly shattered all her preconceptions.

It turned out that the true culprit behind everything that had happened was herself.

In the end, the fact that she had completely transformed into a girl genuinely couldn’t be blamed on Xiao Moyuan.

It was all her own doing. She had actively brought the fire upon herself.

This realization was even more mortifying than being forced.

She had lived as a boy for eighteen years. Although her body had recently undergone changes, a faint hope of returning to ‘normal’ had always lingered deep within her.

But now?

No! Not only had she completely become a girl, but she had also transformed into a non-human, an animalistic female demon.

Su Mian hugged her knees, burying her burning face in her arms, feeling her future life stretched out before her, bleak and uncertain.

No matter how feminine she had become before, at least the thought of ‘turning back into a boy’ had sustained her. But now, she had personally severed that path. There was no going back.

***

After an unknown amount of time, the bedroom door was gently pushed open.

Xiao Moyuan, judging that enough time had passed, walked in. He immediately saw the little fox curled up in the corner, clutching her legs, her face buried deep within her arms.

The pair of snow-white fox ears drooped listlessly, and her bushy tails were wrapped tightly around herself, as if seeking a shred of security.

“So, you’ve seen the truth?”

He leaned against the doorframe, his tone devoid of obvious emotion.

Su Mian remained motionless, refusing to answer.

Xiao Moyuan, uncharacteristically patient, asked again, “What are your thoughts?”

After a long silence, just as Xiao Moyuan thought she wouldn’t speak, a muffled voice, thick with a heavy nasal tone and a sense of utter hopelessness, drifted from her arms.

“………I’m so horny…”

Xiao Moyuan: “……”

He was silent for two seconds, then couldn’t help but let a faint curve touch his lips. He spoke in a tone of objective fact. “There’s nothing to be done. Foxes, by nature, are like that.”

Su Mian suddenly lifted her head, her eyes and nose red, like a wronged little bunny. She glared fiercely at him.

Xiao Moyuan, experiencing a rare moment of conscience, offered her a tissue.

Su Mian didn’t take it. Instead, she abruptly asked a seemingly random question, her voice still tearful, “Today……… I haven’t gone to class yet…”

Xiao Moyuan was momentarily taken aback by her sudden leap in thought, then understood. She was attempting to find some semblance of ‘normal’ life to soothe her crumbling worldview.

“I’ve requested leave for you.”

He replied, his gaze sweeping over the ears on her head and the tails behind her, a hint of subtle teasing in his voice. “Besides, in your current state… how do you plan to go to class?”

Su Mian: “…………”

She slumped her head in frustration, murmuring in a low voice, as if asking Xiao Moyuan, and yet also asking herself, “Can I……… can I still live a normal life……… as a human……… ever again?”

Xiao Moyuan fell silent. The answer to that question was both cruel and unequivocal.

From the moment her demon blood fully awakened and her seal shattered, it was impossible for her to return to the path of a pure human.

‘Not of our kind, their hearts are bound to be different.’ This wasn’t merely about her appearance; it concerned the demonic aura she emitted, her need for spiritual energy, and her life form, which was vastly different from that of humans. All these factors ensured she could no longer hide among people like an ordinary person.

Not only that, but in her current state, unable to freely control her demonic aura and powers, remaining alone in the human world was inherently extremely dangerous.

He carefully chose his words, then slowly spoke, shattering Su Mian’s last shred of illusion. “It will be difficult.”

He paused, then posed an even more severe problem.

“Moreover, the demonic aura you emitted when you awakened last night was extremely strong.

Although I quickly set up a barrier to conceal the subsequent aura, that initial wave of fluctuations may have already attracted the attention of other demon slayers, or… some other… things.”

He looked at Su Mian’s instantly pale face and suggested,

“I think it would be best if you stay with me for now. We can look out for each other, and you can use this opportunity to familiarize yourself with your new body and practice controlling the demonic aura and power within you. Of course, you can refuse.”

“Regarding your background and bloodline, I believe you should call your parents first. They should know something.”

These words were like a beam of light, instantly illuminating Su Mian’s chaotic mind.

‘That’s right! She’s a half-demon!’

Then at least one of her parents must also be… And her mother, Lin Xiangwan, was clearly in the know!

She wasn’t alone; she still had family!

She immediately fumbled for her phone, her fingertips trembling slightly with excitement, eager to dial her mother’s number.

“Beep… beep… beep…”

After a long wait, a cold system prompt announced, “The number you have dialed is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.”

Su Mian’s heart sank. Unwilling to give up, she immediately dialed her father’s number.

The result was the same—no answer.

At this hour, it was impossible for both parents to still be asleep.

‘Perhaps they’re busy…’

She consoled herself, planning to try again later. However, just then, Xiao Moyuan’s phone rang abruptly, breaking the stagnant atmosphere in the room.

Xiao Moyuan glanced at the caller ID. He pressed the answer button and put the phone to his ear.

From the other end came his subordinate’s respectful yet urgent voice: “Young Master, something has happened at the Su family’s residence!”

Xiao Moyuan frowned slightly. “Speak.”

“The parents of Miss Su Mian, whom you asked me to pay close attention to and investigate, were allegedly attacked by an unknown demon late last night near their home!

There are signs of a struggle and residual demonic energy at the scene, but both of them are currently… missing, their whereabouts and condition unknown!”

Xiao Moyuan’s expression instantly froze, his knuckles gripping the phone tightening almost imperceptibly. He had just told Su Mian to contact her family, and then immediately received such news… The coincidence was alarming.

He instinctively looked up at Su Mian, who was holding her phone, a look of disappointment and worry on her face. His gaze became incredibly deep and complex.

In this moment, he grew even more convinced that this little fox’s true identity and bloodline were likely far more special and complicated than he had initially imagined…

Su Mian noticed that after Xiao Moyuan finished his call, he had been staring at her with an indescribably complex gaze. Her heart involuntarily skipped a beat, and a strong sense of unease welled up within her.

“What’s wrong?”

She put down her phone, asking with confusion and apprehension, “Whose call was that?”

Xiao Moyuan quickly reined in his emotions, his face returning to its usual calm. He said indifferently, “It’s nothing. Just work-related.”

Before he had even finished speaking, Su Mian’s phone, held in her hand, suddenly rang with a sharp peal, as if in response!

Su Mian’s heart leaped with joy, thinking it was her parents calling her back. She excitedly picked up the phone, but the name flashing on the screen made her freeze—

It was her sister, Su Baixue, with whom she had a cold relationship and who almost never contacted her proactively.

‘Why would she be calling?’

Su Mian instinctively pressed the answer button. As soon as the call connected, Su Baixue’s heartbroken and distraught screams erupted from the receiver:

“Su Mian! What exactly are you?! Mom and Dad, they…”
