Su Xiaoxiao turned off her phone screen, set it down, and gazed out at the city night faintly veiled in moonlight.

Beside her, Evran began to squirm.

Evran nodded along with little “mm-hmms,” staring at Su Xiaoxiao with sparkling, expectant eyes.
Su Xiaoxiao had no idea what that gaze meant.

She rambled on with random small talk to stall, finally running out of things to say.

“And…? And…?”

“That’s it. What exactly are you expecting?”

Evran’s eyes widened in shock.

“You didn’t tell Big Sis we’re getting married!? Did she approve!?”

“That again!? Idiot, who’s marrying you!?”

Su Xiaoxiao lightly bonked Evran’s head with her tiny fist.
Evran stuck out her little pink tongue helplessly, face drooping in disappointment.

“Fine… But we’re already sleeping in the same room, same bed.
Isn’t that something married couples do?”

She… kind of had a point. Su Xiaoxiao couldn’t think of a good comeback.

Being told that outright suddenly made her aware of how normal it had become to share a bed with Evran.

When did that even start feeling natural?

She vaguely remembered Evran holding a knife to her throat and forcing it at first, claiming her body was cold and she needed warmth at night.

Evran winked playfully.
Su Xiaoxiao’s gaze flickered away in panic—wanting to look, yet not wanting to.

She really couldn’t handle Evran.
That pervy attitude made her want to kick her five meters away,
but the adorable pleading made it impossible to refuse.

Su Xiaoxiao tugged her shirt hem lower.
Under the blanket she wore only panties; her bare legs pressed tightly together, naked feet nestled close.
