Chapter 50: The Unexpected Arrival of Bisika

The sudden appearance of a teleportation array, and the golden-haired loli who sprang from it, utterly flustered Lin Ling and their younger brother. Their reasons for alarm, however, were vastly different.

Bisika, the unwitting cause of the commotion, remained completely oblivious.

She still clung to Lin Ling’s neck, eyes closed, intimately rubbing her forehead against Lin Ling’s cheek, entirely disregarding Lin Hui, who stood watching nearby.

Lin Hui, witnessing this bizarre scene, was utterly bewildered. ‘Black man asking for directions?’ he thought, a common internet meme implying extreme confusion.

Both the fantastical teleportation array and the winged, golden-haired girl defied belief. He even wondered if he was still dreaming on the airplane.

‘This is too magical! I must be dreaming!’

He had heard that the world was no longer bound by science, but seeing such supernatural phenomena with his own eyes was still difficult to accept.

Noticing his younger brother’s stunned demeanor, Lin Ling’s heart sank. ‘This damned Bisika couldn’t have picked a worse time to arrive!’ she thought.

What was she supposed to do now?

‘Could it be…?’

‘No! No! Absolutely not! If I tell him, my authority as his older brother will be completely shattered.’

At this point, there was only one solution. ‘Forgive me, my dear little brother.’

The next moment, a wave of gentle, silvery spiritual power affectionately patted Lin Hui’s soul. Lin Hui felt his vision blur, then uncontrollably collapsed to the ground, falling into a deep slumber.

Seeing her brother pass out, Lin Ling breathed a sigh of relief. As for explaining it later, Lin Ling planned to tell Lin Hui that his international flight had been exhausting, and that what he saw was merely a hallucination, a dream-like scene from his rest. It felt a bit far-fetched, but she decided to try it.

Just then,

“Miss Bisika Domini, you certainly know how to pick a time to return!” Lin Ling said, smiling benignly, gazing with immense tolerance at the golden-haired loli swaying on her chest.

Bisika, seemingly aware that she had caused trouble, couldn’t quite meet Lin Ling’s eyes. She burrowed her head into Lin Ling’s chest, then spoke with a hint of remorse:

“It’s only because I missed you so much! Also, Little Seven, could you please change back? Your chest is too flat right now; it’s uncomfortable to lean on.”

Lin Ling was speechless.

‘You’re complaining now…’

Since no one else was watching, Lin Ling deactivated her spiritual power reshaping, reverting to her silver-haired maiden form.

Feeling the rising and falling of Lin Ling’s chest, Bisika became even more excited, burying her face between those small peaks, nuzzling and rubbing.

It seemed this loli had no remorse whatsoever! Thus, Lin Ling slowly raised her right hand, fingers together, thumb slightly bent inward, and brought a merciless ‘hand-knife’ down upon the golden-haired loli’s head.

“Ow!”

****

“Waaah, Little Seven, you’re so mean! That really hurt! How could you hit me so hard, boohoo!”

Bisika sat on the sofa, clutching her head with both hands, her aggrieved expression truly endearing. Of course, her head didn’t actually hurt; she was merely feigning pitifulness to garner Lin Ling’s sympathy.

However, Lin Ling wasn’t falling for it. “Stop pretending. Do you take me for a fool?”

Despite her words, Lin Ling walked over and sat beside Bisika, gently rubbing her little head. ‘Sigh.’

As Lin Ling rubbed, Bisika revealed a cute, content expression, much like a pampered kitten. Without another word, she rested her head on Lin Ling’s lap.

‘Sigh, I really don’t know if I’ve adopted a younger sister.’

Honestly, Bisika’s various behaviors made it difficult for Lin Ling to associate her with the term “older sister” anymore. The incongruity was too strong.

Seeing this, Little White, who had been watching, could no longer tolerate it. Just as she was about to pounce on Bisika with her cat paws, a cerulean spiritual energy firmly pressed Little White to the ground, rendering her immobile.

Bisika’s lips curled into an almost imperceptible smirk.

Little White thought, ‘Motherf***er.’

Lin Ling thought, ‘These two are as noisy as ever…’

After a moment of calm, Lin Ling decided to address the serious matters.

“Bisika, why did you suddenly come back? Didn’t you say the troublesome situation wouldn’t be resolved so quickly?” Lin Ling asked, continuing to toy with Bisika’s beautiful golden hair.

“It’s just that I missed you so much, so I couldn’t wait to come back and see you!”

Bisika continued her playful antics, grabbing Lin Ling’s silver hair and fiddling with it. However, seeing Lin Ling’s slightly serious expression, she quickly changed her tone, switching to serious mode.

“The matter is mostly handled, but a while ago, Big Brother sensed something amiss around Blue Star, so he sent me to keep an eye on it.”

“Amiss?” Hearing Bisika’s words, Lin Ling felt a pang of confusion. ‘Why didn’t I sense anything?’

Seeing Lin Ling’s puzzled expression, Bisika climbed up and stood on the sofa, stroking Lin Ling’s head, adopting the demeanor of an elder. “It’s normal not to sense it. Even I only detected the anomaly after arriving in the Solar System. It’s truly hard to notice without careful perception.”

Upon hearing this, Lin Ling couldn’t help but feel profound respect for her Big Brother. Even Bisika, an Emperor of Law skilled in perception, only noticed the anomaly after reaching the Solar System, yet the Dragon Emperor had sensed the border changes from the World Tree’s Heart. It was terrifying. ‘As expected of the First Emperor of Law,’ she thought, ‘he feels unfathomably deep.’

“What kind of anomaly?”

“There are trace amounts of unknown purple energy particles within the Solar System, seemingly engaged in a positioning process.”

‘Purple…’ Lin Ling was inwardly startled but maintained a calm facade.

“Positioning? Who’s doing it? And is there even a point?”

She had thought it was something serious, but positioning? Blue Star’s location was so obvious; it wasn’t some hidden spatial realm. Almost all extraterrestrial races knew its whereabouts, so why bother with such an unnecessary positioning effort?

Noticing Lin Ling’s confusion, Bisika flicked her finger directly on Lin Ling’s forehead. “We don’t need it, but some beings do, don’t they?”

Upon hearing this, Lin Ling suddenly understood, looking at Bisika and asking seriously, “Could it be from the Outer Domain?”

Bisika nodded. “It’s very likely. After all, that purple substance doesn’t belong to any known entities within the Origin Star Universe. And it’s understandable that they’d target a newly emerged Emperor of Law. That’s why I came to help monitor the situation!”

“Can’t those purple… particles be cleared away?”

“We can, but they’re too tiny and too numerous. We might not be able to clean them all up; they could have drifted to any star field or planet,” Bisika replied, sounding quite helpless.

That would be quite troublesome. Lin Ling hadn’t expected to be targeted by Outer Domain creatures in just a few months. This was a bit unexpected, but if a fight broke out, with Bisika’s help, they should be able to handle it.

‘Oh, right!’

“Um, Sister Bisika, have you found any clues regarding Xi Yue’s matter?”

“Not yet. It will take a bit more time. Since you couldn’t find a soul sample, we can only rely on that uncertain appearance and analyze her behavior and tone. It’s not that easy.”

‘And that girl probably doesn’t even belong to the Origin Star Universe,’ Bisika thought, though she didn’t voice this last part.

Hearing this, Lin Ling merely nodded, abandoning the thought of asking further questions.

Seeing Lin Ling lost in thought and sensing the increasingly oppressive atmosphere, Bisika couldn’t stand it. She directly raised her hand and made a spellcasting gesture. The next moment, a cerulean teleportation array appeared out of thin air before Lin Ling.

Immediately after, Wangzai and Little Pangolin leaped out of the teleportation array and into Lin Ling’s arms, appearing extremely affectionate.

“Wow, Wangzai, your injuries have healed!” Lin Ling exclaimed happily, embracing the two beasts.

But the teleportation magic didn’t stop. Under Lin Ling’s surprised gaze, eight more small creatures of various forms continuously emerged.

Beneath their adorable exteriors lay power that couldn’t be underestimated. Undeniably, these were the giant beasts Lin Ling had captured earlier.

“There, they’re all trained now!” Bisika’s proud voice came from behind Lin Ling.
