**Saint Domain Magic – Stellar Guardian.**
Lin Ling’s strongest defensive magic, and also the fastest to activate.
It could be released directly through the ruby on her right-hand ritual implement.
Unlike other spells that required special灵力 operation patterns, prepared materials, and extensive casting time, Stellar Guardian had already completed all preliminary preparations. It was simply sealed within the gem using a special method.
When needed, she only had to inject enough spiritual power to use it.
As she channeled more spiritual power, its power would increase accordingly.
Very convenient—it saved a lot of tedious steps.
After all, who would give you ample preparation time in the middle of a battle?
Its only drawback was that it burned money. Poor people simply couldn’t afford to play with it.
Who would have thought other civilizations were this materialistic too?
—
The silver energy shield, shaped like a six-pointed star and formed by Lin Ling’s massive spiritual power injection, boasted an outrageously high defensive capability. Blocking a Battle Sovereign-level spirit wave cannon was a piece of cake, let alone attacks of this residual level.
If not for the giant beast’s massive attack range, Lin Ling wouldn’t have bothered using this spell. After all, each gem only stored two uses of the magic.
Better to conserve it.
It hurt a little.
But fortunately, the result didn’t disappoint.
The silver energy shield head-on collided with the狂暴 red energy scattering in all directions. The moment they made contact, the red energy crumbled instantly, dissolving into specks of red light that were absorbed by the shield. At the same time, the red energy spreading elsewhere was drawn toward the shield by Stellar Guardian’s suction force.
Seconds later, these fluctuations that could threaten Blue Star were completely neutralized.
Stellar Guardian still maintained a bright silver-white glow, far from reaching its absorption limit.
Not bad.
This magic was quite reliable. Although it was her first time using it, Lin Ling was more than satisfied with its performance.
Just as Lin Ling was about to breathe a sigh of relief, the Prison Beasts’ actions put her on edge again.
Dense black figures poured in through the freshly torn gap, charging madly toward Lin Ling like demons from hell demanding souls. But compared to these Prison Beasts, even demons might seem kind and cute.
The scene before her was both hair-raising and nauseating. Luckily, she didn’t have trypophobia.
Overreaching!
Lin Ling was utterly contemptuous of this horde of Prison Beasts. What did their numbers matter? They were only courting death.
The only trouble was that she had to be careful not to damage the formation or affect Blue Star.
That left only close combat.
Thus, Lin Ling dispelled the silver energy shield in front of her.
Driven by her spiritual power, her silver hair rapidly lengthened and reshaped.
Dozens of silver greatswords, connected to Lin Ling’s hair, floated beside her. Terrifying spiritual power, enough to intimidate ordinary beings, clung to the swords’ surfaces. Any one of these silver greatswords could easily cut through the body of a demigod-level expert.
Let alone these Prison Beasts below the seventh rank. The vast gap in strength couldn’t be bridged by numbers alone.
But the Prison Beasts showed no fear—or rather, they showed no emotion at all. They simply, instinctively, charged at Lin Ling, intent on tearing her apart.
They had no concept of the strength disparity.
Lin Ling frowned.
With such terrifying numbers and disregard for death, it was no wonder they haunted countless races as a nightmare.
If not for the level suppression, I probably wouldn’t be able to handle them so easily.
Scanning the endless waves of Prison Beasts surging toward her from all sides, Lin Ling wasted no more time. She charged straight into the enemy formation with her dozens of silver greatswords. Instantly, the Prison Beasts in the front line were sliced in half like wheat before a scythe. Countless claws and carapaces flew through the air, and grotesque, nauseating fluids spread throughout the star field around Lin Ling. But soon, the high temperature of the greatswords incinerated them completely.
Such contaminated blood couldn’t be left behind.
To others, Prison Beasts were indeed terrifying, but to a Battle Sovereign, creatures of this level were merely shrimp soldiers and crab generals, not even worth filling the gaps between teeth.
In just a few seconds, thousands of Prison Beasts were reduced to minced meat under the flashing blades.
Lin Ling remained at full stamina, and the slight spiritual power she consumed regenerated instantly.
If the enemy continued this charge, eradicating this group was only a matter of time.
Thinking this, Lin Ling couldn’t help but feel smug, the corners of her mouth lifting slightly.
Not that hard!
But as the battle continued, something unexpected happened.
Under Lin Ling’s perception, some Prison Beasts gradually circumvented her and moved toward her rear.
Trying to attack from another direction?
No! They’ve already gone too far!
The sheer number of Prison Beasts surrounding her, along with their strange, corrupting energy, severely interfered with Lin Ling’s perception.
Left with no choice, to confirm her uneasy suspicion, Lin Ling gathered a massive amount of spiritual power into her right fist and punched straight at a Prison Beast that looked like a gargoyle charging from the front.
The terrifying blow, imbued with immense spiritual power, instantly shattered the struck Prison Beast into scattered chunks of flesh. The fist’s spiritual energy swept through the surrounding beasts like a whirlwind, annihilating them all.
In the blink of an eye, the dense wall of Prison Beasts encircling Lin Ling was torn open by the aftermath of that single punch.
A few Prison Beasts were blasted away by the fist wind. If they landed on Blue Star, there would be serious trouble.
But Lin Ling had no time to worry about that now.
Seizing the gap in the encirclement, she hastily released her spiritual power outward through the opening to enhance her external perception.
The result confirmed her guess.
Those damn Prison Beasts were charging at Blue Star!
Lin Ling gritted her teeth. The earlier hint of arrogance vanished completely, replaced by unprecedented gravity.
The Prison Beasts’ behavior had completely exceeded her expectations.
According to Little White’s records, Prison Beasts had no intelligence; they only mindlessly attacked beings with spiritual power. So, as long as Lin Ling left Blue Star and released her spiritual power, this horde—even the Heavenly Prison Beast behind them—would surely target her. In this spiritually barren star system, there was no more suitable target. Calling her a taunting tank wasn’t an exaggeration. Even the total spiritual power of the entire Blue Star couldn’t compare to Lin Ling’s own reserves.
That was how it should have been.
Yet unexpectedly, so many Prison Beasts directly ignored her and attacked the distant Blue Star.
This inexplicable phenomenon completely deviated from the Prison Beasts’ usual behavior.
There was only one possibility: a higher-level existence was directing these mindless creatures.
This was going to be troublesome.
If so, her only option now was to create a few clones and divert some strength to intercept those beasts heading toward Blue Star.
But soon, Lin Ling gritted her teeth and, extremely unwilling, rejected her own strategy. There was no more time.
Outside the formation, that giant Heavenly Prison Beast opened its monstrous, gluttonous maw once again. Destructive and violent red energy gathered massively in its mouth, making the already oppressive beast even more ferocious.
This strike was certainly capable of destroying heaven and earth.
For Lin Ling, as long as she concentrated, it wasn’t unstoppable.
But…
Looking around at the relentless Prison Beast swarm attacking her, Lin Ling frowned.
It wants to blast them along with its comrades? Truly mindless…
?? Wait. No!
That direction!
MMP! This bastard intends to directly blast Blue Star!
