Join the ServerWhile that person lived, the very thought of wielding magic was inconceivable.
Yet, years prior, the girl had already grasped some of magic’s profound intricacies.
With such a solid foundation, she could effortlessly cast even tenth-tier spells and beyond once she truly embraced her power.
However, in one crucial aspect, she mirrored that person.
After personally bringing everything to an end, both had turned their backs on the object of their hatred, now poised to vanish from the world, leaving them utterly speechless.
The Nun was dead. The homeland, which had belonged solely to the departed, held no reason for preservation, nor did any fragment of memory worth cherishing remain.
An infinite emptiness consumed her entirely, making her steps feel unnaturally light, as if a spectral presence truly drifted through this very spot.

“Big Sis……”
At the end of the path ahead, Large Dog stood waiting, a freshly coagulated scar marring its forehead.
The girl, Cai, had been so utterly engrossed that she only now noticed the loyal figure.
“Little Dog, are your wounds healing well?”
Cai offered a genuine smile, running forward a few steps to stroke the furry head before her.
To be alive was better than anything.
When Cai found Large Dog on the battlefield and brought them for treatment, she had desperately hoped this family member would survive.
Fortunately, during post-battle care, she discovered that while Large Dog’s injuries were severe, they weren’t fatal.
As long as the wounds weren’t deadly, healing magic could be applied, leading to this relatively warm scene now unfolding.
The sensation of being petted was comforting, but Large Dog wasn’t merely lost in the moment; they also made sure to inform Cai:
“Big Sis, Big Sis Harpy wants to see you…”
Before the words could even reach a conclusive note, every leaf in the area began to rustle in unison.
Amidst the flapping of wings, a few feathers drifted to the ground, pristine and pure white, like snow or frost.
From amidst the swirling white plumes, Little Eagle descended.
She remained as before, save for the change in color of both her hair and feathers.
This was a side effect of using [Burning Wings]; thankfully, apart from this, no other dire consequences had occurred.
The time elapsed hadn’t been long, and Cai still vividly recalled her first encounter with ‘Big Sister,’ a scene strikingly similar to this reunion.
Though only a dozen days had passed, it felt as if an entire lifetime had separated them.
Initially, ‘Big Sister’ had altered the course of her entire life, and now, the former sought to change it once more.
“I have but one thing to say: from today onward, you are forbidden from meeting us again. You are now superfluous!”
The warning was brief and stark.
Afterward, ‘Big Sister’ lingered no longer, returning whence she came, never sparing Cai another glance as she departed.
At first glance, it appeared Little Eagle resented Cai, but that was far from the truth.
Little Eagle’s true hatred was directed at herself, at the self who had watched a child grow but failed to accompany them until the very last moment.
Her deliberate act of uttering such hurtful words stemmed from a desire to fulfill Cai’s future.
Regardless of whether one accepted the reality, the person important to Cai, and the child important to Little Eagle, had truly departed.
The deceased were gone; the living demons and humans still had their own lives to lead.
Little Eagle felt she owed a debt, which was why she intended to ‘banish’ Cai, allowing her to reclaim her ‘human’ identity, forget her sorrowful memories, and begin anew.
This utterly unforthcoming kindness, in truth, required no explanation, because:
“I know everything. If Big Sister were human, she would surely be a kinder person than even me!”
Cai silently mouthed two words towards the direction Little Eagle had flown:
Thank you!
Large Dog sensed the atmosphere between the two respected figures, and after a moment of thought, finally relaxed.
With their heaviest worries finally lifted, Large Dog looked at Cai with a forlorn expression, asking wistfully:
“Big Sis, what should we do now? Everyone has lost their way since Big Sis’s passing; they don’t even know how to live tomorrow.”
Cai understood.
Large Dog’s words were already gentle enough.
According to what she knew, the demons were indeed lost, and many among them were truly brimming with hatred.
Had Little Eagle not been holding things together, the demons would have already scattered, attacking and retaliating in various towns.
Cai, too, felt hatred, but she knew how to restrain it, leading to her subsequent admonition:
“Little Dog, please tell everyone this for me: do not resent innocent people, and certainly do not engage in any extreme actions.”
“Because Big Sis and Big Sister are both human?”
“No, it’s because if that person were still here, they certainly wouldn’t want you to do that… You must never do anything to make them sad, alright?”
Judging by her recent actions, Cai’s words lacked conviction.
Yet, Large Dog still obediently nodded their head.
They couldn’t refuse; after all, Big Sis’s demeanor and actions just now were almost identical to Big Sis’s when she was alive.
Having lost their core and forbidden from seeking revenge, Little Eagle and the other demons’ future days could only be linked to reclusion.
Though Big Sis hadn’t said it, and Big Sis couldn’t say it, in the hearts of the demons, living in isolation was the summary of their future.

They had met, learned what was forbidden, and now it was time to part.
Large Dog had to stay with the others and couldn’t accompany Cai, for which they felt deeply apologetic.
As they parted, Large Dog’s puzzled gaze turned upward, looking at Cai with an anxious expression.
“Big Sis, what are your plans for the future?”
At this question, Cai’s gaze was not directed forward or toward a specific distant point, but directly locked onto the far-off future.
“I will travel the continent, striving to enhance my strength… and simultaneously await that person.”
“But Big Sis, in reincarnation, a soul might travel to other worlds; in the worst case, Big Sis might never return to this continent.”
“That won’t matter.”
The wind did not cease, and that golden heart still beat, silently proclaiming.
The person involved closed their eyes, bathed in all that existed between heaven and earth, unilaterally deciding upon an unchangeable future.
A persistent hope, stretching from the distant past, extended forward in a straight line, until an awakening in the present!
More than one person opened their eyes.
As Wang Xiaole regained consciousness, she noticed Mi Yin watching her.
“You’ve recalled your past life’s memories—excellent! Now, as agreed, I’ll tell you about Wang Yaofu.”
Despite the heavy burden on her mind, Wang Xiaole still paid close attention to the other’s words.
“Your sister has also come to this world! As for how she arrived, that’s not within the scope of information I need to disclose.”
Mi Yin was sitting on the edge of the bed, swinging her legs. After a brief thought, Wang Xiaole suddenly blurted out:
“It has something to do with you, Mi Yin, doesn’t it?”
“Oh, you guessed it. Is Big Sister considering entering a quiz show with prizes?”
“Is my sister safe?”
If Mi Yin’s answer caused concern, Wang Xiaole couldn’t guarantee she wouldn’t chop this loli.
But thankfully, the girl’s next words were:
“She is perfectly safe; you can rest assured!”
Focusing her attention on Wang Yaofu now held little interest for Mi Yin.
Matters concerning Cai were what truly captured her attention.
“As one of the protagonists of a tragic love story, Miss Wang Xiaole, who stands before me, do you have any particular thoughts?”
If she held a microphone, Mi Yin would have extended it forward.
“……”
Silence was the most uninteresting reaction, yet from Wang Xiaole’s unspoken response, Mi Yin offered a rather intriguing guess.
“Oh, so your heart is utterly unperturbed. Hmm, that works too!”
Clapping her hands together, Mi Yin struck a pose of sudden realization.
It was difficult to tell, however, if her expression was deliberately feigned.
“Past lives are utterly boring. Just treat it as a story; once the story ends, your heart finds peace.”
Just like these words, it was hard to determine if she uttered them intentionally.
“Big Sister’s reaction at this moment is quite natural. Oh dear, it seems I’ve done something superfluous.”
Saying this, Mi Yin raised her small hand and drew a circle beside her.
Immediately, the pattern transformed into a vortex.
If chaos had a color, it might just be the color that appeared in Wang Xiaole’s eyes at that moment.
“Pass through this vortex, and Big Sister can go home.”
She seemed to suddenly transform into a demon, or rather:
In Wang Xiaole’s impression, Mi Yin had always been a demon incarnate.
“Your journey to another world is about to end; the last thing to do is step into the vortex. One step is an exaggeration, but in reality, it only takes two steps.”
The scene of a demon tempting someone to fall could easily lead an unseen observer to connect it with Mi Yin persuading Wang Xiaole.
“I’ll send your sister back as well. I said before: I’m here to make a deal with Big Sister!”
Abandon the emotions of your past life, and the girl who has always loved you.
In exchange, Mi Yin would send Wang Xiaole back.
Quite fair, wouldn’t you say?
Except for one detail:
This was truly the outcome Mi Yin wished to see.
The next second, Wang Xiaole reacted.
This could not be mistaken; she took a step forward.
At that very moment, the smile vanished from Mi Yin’s face.
Indeed, her small face now became serious.
Subsequently, Wang Xiaole drew closer to the vortex, which made the girl, now nearer to her, mutter inwardly:
‘It seems it’s about to end; I’m a little disappointed… Ugh, ugh, ugh!’
The pain, however, was absolutely real.
In an unguarded moment, Mi Yin’s cheek was pinched.
Now, Wang Xiaole was attempting to stretch that small face as much as possible.
An ambush!
This was an ambush!
The despicable girl spoke, her voice as loud as if shouting forcefully into an ear:
“My return is none of your concern, and what I choose to do is not for others to dictate!”
Due to the excessive force, Mi Yin’s small body leaned forward as her cheek was pulled.
The moment Wang Xiaole abruptly released her grip, she tumbled backward, rolling once on the bed.
There was no need to remain in this room any longer.
With the sound of the door closing, Wang Xiaole walked out, her destination unknown to anyone.
Mi Yin, like a small animal, struggled to climb out of bed.
Looking at the closed door, and thinking of the figure no longer there, she couldn’t help but let a smile creep onto her lips.
“Splendid!”
Even though she was alone in the room, Mi Yin still clapped her hands.
“Not only deeply loved in the past life, but able to rekindle the romance in the next…”
Such an outcome was truly wonderful, well worth the hundreds of years she had spent anticipating it.
“Good, this romance has been rekindled! I wonder if other girls can be like the Nun…”
Having been satisfied once, Mi Yin decided to continue holding onto that expectation in her heart as she departed this place.
