Chapter 35: The Master’s Madness and the Disciple’s Desperate Act

As Wolf Girl stepped into Ji Wushuang’s courtyard, two servants burst out in a frantic rush, nearly crashing into her. She deftly sidestepped, her eyes clouding with confusion.

Her master, the Sect Master, was exceedingly strict, and those around him were renowned for their prudence and composure; such a loss of decorum was unprecedented.

“Where is he?” Wolf Girl’s eyes narrowed sharply as she quickened her pace, demanding an answer.

“In the secret chamber,” the servant gasped, half-running to keep up as he pointed the way.

As they neared the secret chamber, before they could even touch the mechanism to open it, the heavy stone door exploded inward, unable to withstand Ji Wushuang’s mighty palm strike.

Wolf Girl pulled the servant clear of the shrapnel, then turned back. Ji Wushuang’s ink-black hair was disheveled, his eyes bloodshot, as he darted frantically around the courtyard.

He roared incessantly, “Where is my disciple? Hm? Return my disciple to me! I demand to see my disciple!”

Ji Wushuang’s twin sister had been tormented by his rampage, and upon seeing Wolf Girl, she felt a surge of unexpected joy. She cried out to her younger brother, “Little brother, your disciple is here! She’s here!”

“Where is he?” Ji Wushuang leaped onto the rooftop, scanning his surroundings.

‘Even when completely insane, he still yearns for Wolf Girl. How deeply must my little brother love her?’ Ji Wushuang’s twin sister, who had never known of such a preference, gritted her teeth in silent contemplation.

However, Ji Wushuang’s next action horrified her even further. Unable to resist, a profound sense of grief and indignation welled up in her eyes. After inhaling her scent, Ji Wushuang began to gnaw at her neck.

“Master, release me now, or I will hate you!” Wolf Girl shrieked, raising her palm as if to strike his crown.

“Wolf Girl, what are you doing? Do you dare commit patricide?” Ji Wushuang’s twin sister had been watching their movements out of the corner of her eye. Seeing Wolf Girl’s actions, she nearly exploded with rage.

‘Oh, little brother, why are you so stubborn? You had to fall for this heartless ingrate!’ she thought.

Even in his madness, Ji Wushuang was not someone Wolf Girl could easily kill. The crimson in his eyes deepened as he tapped Wolf Girl’s Tianchi acupoint.

Her internal energy instantly dissipated, rendering hundreds of her palm strikes utterly harmless to him.

Wolf Girl’s body went limp. She immediately understood her predicament, and a deep despair, tinged with a hint of hatred, flickered in her eyes. Resignedly, she closed them, allowing Ji Wushuang to have his way.

Seeing the person in his arms become compliant, Ji Wushuang smiled contentedly. He took her hand, which had fallen limply onto his shoulder, and brought it to his lips, licking and pecking at each finger.

“Not my disciple’s hands!” Ji Wushuang ceased his actions, whispering almost imperceptibly. His eyes grew increasingly bloodshot, radiating intense killing intent, and internal energy silently gathered in his palm.

When Master saw Junior Martial Brother appear, his eyes settled, even though he was almost insane, he would not abandon him, which stirred countless complex emotions within Wolf Girl.

Indeed, Shui Jingxuan slowly approached Ji Wushuang, who stood fixed in place, his face beaming with joy as he awaited his disciple’s proximity.

“Disciple!” He took a step forward, spreading his arms for his beloved disciple. The clarity that had just returned to his eyes was once again stained crimson by the dazzling figure, and it felt as if a beast within him roared, eager to devour his disciple whole.

“Forgive me, Master, but you need to calm down.” Seeing the change in Ji Wushuang’s eyes, Shui Jingxuan knew he had fallen into madness again.

He smiled faintly, his fingertips flashing like lightning, instantly striking several major acupoints on Ji Wushuang’s body, rendering him immobile and voiceless.

The sudden, overwhelming sensation of paralysis in one half of her body immediately restored Ji Wushuang’s twin sister’s five senses.

She turned her head and saw that the boy had subdued her younger brother, and Wolf Girl stood disheveled at the courtyard entrance, though showing no signs of having been defiled. She let out a long sigh of relief.

Shui Jingxuan did not reply. Seeing Ji Wushuang’s flushed face, he reached out to touch his forehead. The frighteningly high temperature startled him, and he exclaimed anxiously,
