Chapter 31: Author’s Ramblings: Volume One Concludes

Thank you so much to all the readers who have made it this far. The boisterous first volume has concluded. I, the author, was suddenly inspired to write this little ramble at the end of the first volume, perhaps to keep in line with Japanese light novels? Haha, you can read it or skip it!

Writing this book was merely a whim. Initially, I only conceived of a short gag: a character, feigning unconsciousness after a car accident, mistakes his daughter for her mother, infuriating her to the point of giving the protagonist a good scolding back home.

I never expected to write so much, or even to start planning the future plotlines. The result of this endeavor? My other book is completely stuck in a writer’s block… *Ehehe~*

Nevertheless, dedicating my energy to this book has yielded many rewards. I truly never imagined so many people would read it.

I must express my gratitude to all the esteemed readers who have followed along. I’ve always been a struggling writer, and my work increasingly clashes with the fast-paced web novel style of SF.

I’m still not very adept at writing in that style, so your support means the world to me. It has given me the motivation to continue writing. Thank you for your immense kindness; I promise this book will be completed.

Now, back to the story. Volume One has concluded! I wonder if you found it interesting?

Do you feel this book is worth anticipating? And most importantly… do you think it’s fantastic to be pursued so fiercely by an older sister? Like Xiao Xi, a tsundere who wants to run away, yet whose body remains quite honest…

*Cough, cough!*

Perhaps none of that is true, for I don’t consider myself some formidable literary master. With my limited imagination, I can only fantasize about various plotlines each day, then quickly jot them down before they slip from my mind.

Beyond that, I’m diligently organizing my outline, striving to make the subsequent plot even more engaging.

All in all, over sixty thousand words have been written. While the plot of the first volume might have been a bit unconventional, it did reveal a main storyline: Xiao Xi’s operational plan, aided by Senior Sister, to lower Sister Yuan’s affection for him.

Will he succeed? Keep reading to find out~

Volume One is merely the beginning. As I mentioned before, this was a “tactical volume,” so not many characters appeared.

In essence, there were only four: Xiao Xi, Xiao Meng, Sister Yuan, and Senior Sister. However, these four are the core members of the protagonist’s group, and their roles will only grow in the future. I wonder who among them you’ll come to like the most?

In the upcoming second volume, which is also the first “recruitment volume,” another main storyline will be unveiled. What exactly it is… I believe you’ll understand once you read it.

I’ll also discuss it in my end-of-volume reflections for Volume Two. But then again, if each volume is this short, how many end-of-volume reflections will I have to write…? Still, writing these is truly addictive~

A few other miscellaneous matters: as I’ve mentioned before, due to some platform policy issues, this book might soon have its name changed. It will only be a modification in wording, so please don’t lose track of it when that happens.

Also, have I been changing the cover a bit too frequently?
