Join the ServerWhere is Xiao Xi?
Mia looked up in contemplation, when suddenly footsteps sounded behind her. A familiar voice came. She turned around and saw Shi Xi, out of breath, running over with a mop.
“Xiao Xi?” Nan Feng was the first to react, staring at him in surprise. This guy’s timing was truly O. Henry-esque—he had thought he wasn’t coming, was just about to complain about Xiao Xi ditching everyone, but here he was.
“Phew… phew… I heard you all had already arrived. I was afraid of falling behind, so I ran all the way here!”
Xiao Xi stopped, panting, his mop in hand. He raised his head and immediately searched the crowd for Mia. The moment he saw her, the suspended unease in his heart finally eased.
“Mia… Mia! You were so hard to find!” Xiao Xi rushed over without even glancing at the others. Mia flinched back in fear—uh… Xiao Xi’s sudden initiative was a bit scary.
Mainly because Mia was feeling very wronged right now. Her sadness had made her unusually weak. Xiao Xi leaned in and asked with concern,
“How was it? How was it? Did the Head of Grade say anything to you?”
“Uh… sigh—”
The mention of it brought a worried look to Mia’s face. With sorrow and grievance, she said, “The Head of Grade said… they want to send me back to my old school. Xiao Xi, I… I don’t want to go back. I… sob…”
Mia started to weep softly. Xiao Xi stood beside her, his expression grim. If so, then Mia’s punishment was the harshest among them all—she had already been marked for a previous offense. But…
Xiao Xi couldn’t bear to part with Mia either. Whenever she talked about her old school, he could sense a strong feeling of disgust in her words. He didn’t know what had happened to her there, but…
She didn’t want to go back.
And Xiao Xi didn’t want her to leave either.
“We… we should go plead with the principal, okay? Don’t let Mia leave. I’ll keep a close eye on her from now on. Nan Feng, let’s go together, okay?”
Xiao Xi anxiously tugged at Nan Feng’s arm. Nan Feng looked hesitant, troubled. He lowered his head, and finally… shook his head in refusal.
“Don’t forget, I’m also in trouble. I’m not the student council president anymore. Besides… the main responsibility for this lies with Mia, doesn’t it? I won’t plead for her.”
He frowned, his words cold. Xiao Xi was stunned, then silently stepped back.
Uh…
How… how could he be like this?
Xiao Xi lowered his head, trying to come up with words to refute him, but no suitable reason came to mind.
“Then… what should we do?” Xiao Xi muttered to himself. Nan Feng and the others sighed, shook their heads, and headed upstairs with their brooms and mops.
Xiao Xi stood there dumbfounded. Beside him, Mia tugged at him, forcing a smile.
“It’s… it’s fine. I’ll just go back, anyway. I know where your home is, Xiao Xi. I can come find you every… every week… sob…”
As she spoke, she couldn’t hold back her tears anymore. Xiao Xi sighed, wiped the tears from her eyes, and patted her head.
“Don’t worry. If it doesn’t work, we’ll go find Senior Sister. She’s sure to solve it.”
“R-really?”
“Really! Because… Senior Sister is very reliable… um, probably…”

Nan Feng and the others started cleaning from the ground floor. Since there were quite a few boys, they cleaned quickly. Xiao Xi and Mia were a step behind them. The boys felt a bit guilty, so they kept working.
Until they reached the seventh floor of the comprehensive building. After a lot of busy work, the boys had pretty much swept the area. All that was left was to mop. Nan Feng took a mop alone to the restroom on the seventh floor. He turned on the tap, ready to rinse the mop.
The howling wind came through the open window in the restroom. With no lights and the sky already dark, the restroom was eerily sinister. Nan Feng felt a chill and glanced around nervously…
Water splashed onto the mop. Amidst the flowing sound, suddenly… a strange noise caught Nan Feng’s attention. From one of the stalls, there seemed to be a weird, eerie movement…
Nan Feng stepped back in fear, but a strong curiosity inside him whispered like a demon in his ear, luring him step by step toward that stall.
‘No… I can’t. What if…’
Nan Feng swallowed fearfully, but his legs moved involuntarily. ‘What if… what if there really is a ghost? Even if I turned and ran now, it might be too late. And it would leave me unsettled and scared for a long time. So I might as well open the stall and take a look—maybe it’s just bugs or rats.’
‘Haha… ha.’
Damn. Normally, he was most afraid of rats, but today, to calm himself down, he actually hoped that inside the stall was something materialistic and explainable. No, he had to open it today.
‘But what if it really is a ghost… Should I run? No, I can’t outrun it, right?’
Hiss—
Before he knew it, Nan Feng was standing in front of the stall. He took a deep breath. Life and death are fated, wealth and honor are in heaven’s hands. He didn’t believe there were ghosts in this world!
Nan Feng wrenched the door open, eyes shut, and stepped inside.
He opened his eyes…
…
Hanging… hanging. A human figure was hanging in the stall. Its face was smeared with blood, its body twisted unnaturally, limbs seemed broken, and its mouth was grotesquely stretched to the ears. It was looking at him, looking at him…
Ah…
Holy shit!
Nan Feng was scared out of his wits. He tried to rush out, but the stall door was suddenly blocked and slammed shut by some force. He banged against the door desperately, but the hanging ghost rushed at him like the wind again and again.
“Help! Help!”
Nan Feng screamed for help, but a strange sensation came over him. He looked down at his neck in terror. A lock of black hair crept through the crack in the stall door and pointed at his neck.
This… this…
“Help! Help!” Nan Feng pounded on the door. The figure behind him didn’t strike yet, as if thinking about how to eat him. Just then, some boys heard the strange noise from the restroom and rushed over without a moment’s hesitation. When they got there, Nan Feng burst out of the stall, with a weird, twisted figure behind him.
Wh-what…
“Run!”
Nan Feng shouted hoarsely, grabbing a few others and sprinting at full speed. They had to run fast, or the ghost would catch them!
After a burst of sprinting, two figures suddenly appeared in front of Nan Feng and the others.
Hiss—
“We’re haunted!”
