Chapter 37: Take a bath

“Don’t be nervous, okay?”

Su Xiao Zi took down the showerhead, placing the body wash and shampoo on the counter.

Su Xiaoxiao shook her head slightly, keeping her movements small, as if deliberately avoiding letting her sister see her face.

Her flawless white back left Su Xiao Zi somewhat entranced.
The delicate, perfectly symmetrical butterfly bones were almost poetic, and her soft, delicate skin glowed tenderly under the bathroom light.

Her slender waist had not an ounce of extra flesh—almost too frail.
Her snow-white legs were pressed tightly together, her dainty feet tilted to one side.
Su Xiao Zi let out a hot breath, struggling to steady her breathing.

Damn it, how could she be this perfect?

Su Xiao Zi even felt a twinge of jealousy.

Trying to be gentle, Su Xiao Zi used a bath sponge coated with body wash to scrub Su Xiaoxiao’s back.
Soon, clusters of white foam formed, which she rinsed off with water before gently combing through her silver hair.

The girl’s hair was astonishingly soft, almost unimaginably smooth, with a color so pure and natural.

This was just too absurd—how could her brother turn into such a manga-like girl?

Throughout the process, Su Xiaoxiao stayed silent, only occasionally letting out soft “mm” sounds to express her feelings.

In her heart, she kept repeating one phrase:

‘Don’t stoop to her level.
As long as I know I’m still a tough guy, that’s enough.’

With the sound of rushing water, Su Xiao Zi washed away the foam.

“Back’s done!Now for the front.”

“What!?W-Wait, I can do the front myself, no need to trouble you!
Please, have mercy!”

Seeing her sister’s hands start to reach over, Su Xiaoxiao shook her head frantically, refusing.

“Oh, fine, what a pity~”

“Phew, you can actually be reasonable, huh?”

Su Xiaoxiao let out a sigh of relief.
Having her sister wash her back was one thing, but the front was just too much.
Besides, they’d agreed on a deal—Su Xiao Zi was only responsible for part of the bathing.

Even so, she could still feel her sister’s burning gaze never leaving her.

“Ha!
Gotcha!
I touched it!”

“Aaahhh!
Su Xiao Zi!
You liar!!!”

Suddenly, the bathroom echoed with the sounds of two girls… well, sort of, playfully tussling.
Though it was mostly Su Xiaoxiao’s mortified shrieks, as she was unilaterally teased.

“Alright, all clean~”

After quite the ordeal, Su Xiaoxiao safely emerged from the bathroom without incident.
But now, she was only wrapped in a bath towel, her smooth, enticing shoulders exposed to the air.

The dust from her earlier battles had been completely washed away, and the grime on her face was gone, leaving her skin clean and radiant.
Her body gave off a faint warmth, like a lotus rising from the water, delicate and captivating.

But she only had her old clothes and pants.

Those were far too big for her current petite frame and completely unwearable.

Worried that Su Xiaoxiao might catch a cold right after her bath, Su Xiao Zi waited at the bathroom door.
She then turned back to her room, rummaging through her things to find clothes from her junior high days.

Su Xiao Zi carefully examined them, comparing them to Su Xiaoxiao’s size.
They’d probably need clothes from her first year of junior high.

“Brother~
What color do you want to wear~”

Su Xiao Zi poked her head out from her room, asking the petite girl sitting in the bathroom, quietly playing with her ahoge to pass the time, looking adorably dazed.

Su Xiaoxiao pulled down her long ahoge, watching it spring back up, then pulled it again, only for it to bounce right back.
She seemed to find it novel.

“Whatever color’s fine, I don’t care.”

Su Xiaoxiao gave a nonchalant answer.
Back when her wardrobe was full of cool-toned clothes, she never put much thought into picking them out.

“No way!
You’re a cute girl now.
A girl’s beauty shines from the inside out, but it needs the right clothes to bring it out.
We’ll have to teach you how to dress yourself properly later.
For now, I’ll pick for you.”

Su Xiao Zi wouldn’t allow her newly transformed brother to be so casual about it.
She pulled a few hangers from the wardrobe, laying the clothes flat on the bed, resting her chin in her hand as she considered seriously.

“Oh!
How about that set?
The one I’ve never worn before.
It’d be a waste not to use it, and I’ve always wanted to see how it looks.
This is the perfect chance!”

Su Xiao Zi decisively pulled out a fresh, breezy dress from the depths of her wardrobe.

Staring at the highly embarrassing dress adorned with lace trim, clearly bought during a burst of girlish whimsy, she couldn’t help but blush and mutter under her breath:

“Why does it feel… a little too sexy?”
