Chapter 59: Unrestrained Emotions

Chu Huaizhou lay on the bed, the faint, cold-sweet perfume of plum blossoms curling into his senses.
Soothing. Distracting.

Damn it—why am I noticing fragrances now?!

He silently cursed himself for getting sidetracked.

“Master,”

Leng Qingqiu’s voice coiled around him like silk,
Smooth yet carrying a hidden hook.

“Are you apologizing for neglecting me lately… or for being caught straying?”

She chuckled softly.
Her pristine white boots were already gone—
Bare jade feet stepping in noiseless advance over the cool floor.

Step.
Step.
Step.

“No worries, Master. We’re dao partners, right? Mutual forgiveness is natural.”

Her sky-blue silk skirt swayed with each graceful move,
Revealing slender calves that shone in flickers of candlelight.

“So… shouldn’t you indulge my willfulness?”

His eyes moved despite himself.

Cold toes brushed his shin.

“Hiss—!”

A shock lanced through him, like a jolt to his meridians.

He instinctively pulled away—
But Leng Qingqiu stepped closer.

Done for… it’s about that.

He’d made mistakes lately, but he couldn’t cross that line. No matter what.

“Qingqiu, I know you’ve been wronged. Master apologizes and promises—”

He thought this was all jealousy over his recent… public embarrassments.

Her answer was to lift one perfectly shaped jade leg and press down on him.

“Mmph—!”

Pain bit into his ribs and startled him into stillness.

“Hehe—”

She leaned forward.

Soft, snowy curves—only a single layer between them—threatened to spill against him.

His eyes flicked down involuntarily.

A single layer…?

Her hand clenched his collar,
Yanking him upright with effortless strength.

Her lips claimed him without room to breathe.

The kiss was demanding,
Enough to make him twitch with the instinct to push her back—
Yet he knew that would only bait her into going further.

So he… half-resisted.
Half-yielded.

And—just for a moment—decided to push back.

“Nng…”

Feeling his sudden advance and the warmth of his hand on her waist,
Leng Qingqiu’s body trembled.

A soft hum slipped from her.

Usually she was the aggressor—
But this brief spark of Master’s dominance lit her blood like fire.

Love it.

Her grip loosened slightly,
Hands trailing upward to his shoulders, fingers digging into the cloth.

Their bodies pressed tighter than Bai Li’s ever had—
As if she could reclaim everything she’d gone without.

She didn’t know Bai Li had already stolen Master’s first lap pillow
Or she might have been even more intense now.

“Huff…”

It felt like an eternity before Chu Huaizhou finally pulled free.
His lips tingled from the pressure;
The sheer insistence behind her kiss could have shaken another Nascent Soul entirely.

“Qingqiu,” he panted,
“I’m exhausted tonight. Can I rest?”

Her softened expression froze.

This had happened too many times before—
Hesitations, interruptions, excuses.

Before his amnesia, she’d been content with proximity alone.
But people are never satisfied—hand to hug, hug to kiss, kiss to…

And after the Calamity Plague Emperor?

She’d made up her mind.

Without him—without Xu Mengdie’s eighth-grade pill and those two heaven-splitting swords—
They’d have been finished.

She’d never touch him again.

Even Leng Qingqiu, tempered by countless battles,
Had to admit the thought terrified her.

Tomorrow or disaster—
Who could tell which would come first?

One missed chance and a lifetime of regret.

Obstacles—Bai Li, Xia Baiqian, Meng Yinlu, even Xu Mengdie—
Would take time to outmaneuver.

But tonight?

Tonight was about her desire.

Seeing her silent, frost-edged stare, Chu Huaizhou realized his slip.

He had to fix this—fast.

“Qingqiu, I—” hiss!

He tried to pull her in for a soft “round two,”
But she pressed down harder, stealing his breath.

“Master,” she murmured,
“We’re dao partners… yet you keep dodging my feelings…”

He forced his voice steady, stretching a helpless smile.

“No, Qingqiu… I just… need time to accept…”

She shook her head gently.

“But I… don’t want to wait anymore.”

Her hands lifted, gathering silver-white strands into a high ponytail,
Tucking stray locks behind her ear.

She licked her lips—preparing to ensure no interruptions could break this moment.

Her raised leg slipped back,
Easing that odd, heavy sensation on his ribs.

Chu Huaizhou’s muscles had just begun to relax…

When his eyes went wide.

She bent her knees—lowering herself, slowly, deliberately.

Kneeling? Wait—what is this?!

“Qingqiu, hold on… what’s this about? Washing my feet?”

Her soft voice, closer now, purred:

“Master, you’ll know soon…”

Meanwhile…

In Chu Huaizhou’s room—

Bai Li was blissfully unaware.

She hugged the Snow Soul Silver Cloud like it was the world’s greatest treasure,
Its jade-sheened surface glowing under the moonlight.

No earthy smell—only an alluring sweetness worthy of a late-game rare item.

After drinking in its scent,
She began to nibble.

“Nom nom nom—so good, meow~”

Crisp skin split under her sharp teeth.
Cool, sweet juice burst across her tongue like tiny shards of ice melting in a rush.

The crunch of each bite played softly in the room’s silence.

It took a full quarter-hour, but she finished it—
Wiping her mouth with dainty paws, already wanting more.

Sprawling onto the bed, tail tips curling lazily, she sighed in contentment.

“Human, next time let’s get more from the Phantom Beast Abyss Pavilion. I love these, meow!”

Then a thought froze her mid-purr.

The radish… had come from Leng Qingqiu.
And Human… was still with Leng Qingqiu.

Bad woman!
