Join the ServerXuanyuan Yi took two deep breaths, quickly composing himself as the talisman in his hand began to radiate a golden light.
Boom!
Suddenly, an immense power erupted from within the ruins, blasting the mountain peak open.
The earth trembled violently as shattered rock rained down from the sky.
A furious hurricane swept forth in an instant, jolting the three observers outside and interrupting Xuanyuan Yi’s casting.
They all raised their heads to gaze at the Blazing Tomb, where dark clouds now swirled ominously overhead.
The clouds spun faster and faster, finally coalescing into a massive, pitch-black vortex.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Fierce gales began to sweep across the land, and the three found their bodies being tugged by the immense force.
The violent hurricane pushed them across the ground.
Xuanyuan Yi’s feet slid backward, and to steady himself, he dropped to a crouch, pressing his body low against the earth.
“What the… what is this?!”
Buzz!
Another surge of spiritual energy erupted.
The surrounding trees were torn from the ground, roots and all, by the hurricane’s might, forcing the three to hastily channel their own spiritual energy to anchor themselves in place.
“What in the… hell is going on—ahhh!!!”
As he spoke, the hurricane’s power intensified yet again.
A savage gust blasted into Situ Ye’s mouth, twisting his face into a grotesque mask.
Beside him, Liu Ruoqing struggled to lift her head against the gale.
She saw that a colossal, dark tornado had completely enveloped the Blazing Tomb.
Lightning crackled within the vortex as the stones and trees of the Blazing Tomb were sucked into its pull.
The entire mountain was crumbling, disintegrating under the hurricane’s awesome power.
“What… what is happening?”
Inside the Blazing Tomb, a pitch-black pearl floated in Qin Yangjun’s hand, pulsing with waves of ferocious energy.
Yin Kang Xuehan, with no time for anything else, immediately dispelled her illusion and threw her arms around Ah Ling, mustering what little demonic energy she had left to form a protective barrier.
With the illusion broken, the demon kings regained their senses.
Only then did they realize they were floating in mid-air, a massive hole having been torn through the Blazing Tomb by some unknown force.
The demon kings were sent spinning within the aerial vortex, feeling their bodies being violently ripped apart by a savage power.
“Ahhh! Dammit! What is going on?!”
Their demonic energy was depleted and they had no time to replenish it, leaving them utterly defenseless against the force that was tearing their bodies asunder.
“Qin Yangjun, what have you done?! Ahh!!”
Qin Yangjun looked up at the demon kings in the sky, his expression indifferent.
Since things had come to this, he didn’t mind satisfying their curiosity.
“Long ago, my sister slew two demon kings. One was the Great Peng King, and the other, whom you call the Sky Demon King, was in truth a Wind God Demon. My sister refined that Wind God Demon’s true essence into a magical artifact. When the demon clan later attacked the border, Zhuang Hancheng successfully defended Canggu City, and this artifact was given to him as a reward. Its name is…”
“The Wind-Lightning Pearl.”
Mu Xianxian’s expression was one of slight surprise as she stared at the pearl in Qin Yangjun’s hand.
She had originally awarded the Wind-Lightning Pearl to Zhuang Hancheng because her attempt to refine it into an offensive weapon had failed.
Strictly speaking, it was a defective product.
The pearl could only be used once, but despite being a single-use item, it could unleash the power of a Tribulation Transcendence Realm expert.
Awarding it to Zhuang Hancheng had been meant to provide a final trump card for the defense of Canggu City.
She remembered how much Zhuang Hancheng had treasured the thing; she never imagined her younger brother would get his hands on it.
Fu Haiqing quickly recovered his composure and turned to Mu Xianxian.
“Sect Master Mu, you must be joking. With a superweapon like that, why would Little Jun ever be afraid of those demon kings?”
Mu Xianxian was silent for a long moment before she finally murmured, “I didn’t give it to Little Jun. It should have been with Zhuang Hancheng. Little Jun must have found some way to get it from him.”
At that moment, the hurricane in the sky began to spin even faster.
Countless bolts of lightning crashed down upon the demon kings, the relentless, hellish torment wringing agonizing screams from them that echoed for miles.
Watching from the outside, the three who were clinging to a large tree couldn’t help but swallow nervously.
Xuanyuan Yi stared at Qin Yangjun on the screen.
“So Qin Yangjun had something this powerful all along.”
Situ Ye chimed in beside him.
“No wonder he was so fearless. Having a Sect Master for a sister really makes a difference.”
Even Liu Ruoqing sighed in amazement.
“This has certainly been an eye-opening experience for me.”
Back within the ruins, Qin Yangjun’s expression was grim.
He glanced at the two women behind him; he couldn’t fully unleash the Wind-Lightning Pearl’s power here.
Doing so would harm them.
With a sudden burst of strength, he leaped high into the air, positioning himself at the very center of the hurricane.
“Let me add a little something extra for you!”
Qin Yangjun held his hands out like claws as the Wind-Lightning Pearl hovered before his chest.
He began to madly pour his own spiritual energy into the pearl.
A golden spiritual light started emanating from his body, and a faint silhouette of a golden dragon coiled around the Wind-Lightning Pearl.
High above, the pitch-black hurricane began to shift, turning a brilliant gold.
The might of the lightning intensified, and the faint roar of some unknown beast could be heard amidst the storm.
Splat! Splat!…
The bodies of the demon kings finally gave way.
Mists of blood erupted from them as their life force rapidly dwindled.
Even so, the lightning bolts striking them only grew more frequent.
Far away in the Yuqian Sect, Bei Yunlan’s eyes were wide.
“Sect Master Mu, the power of this Wind-Lightning Pearl is a bit exaggerated, isn’t it? Forget a few Mahayana demon kings, even if the Peacock King himself were here, he’d probably lose a few feathers.”
The Peacock King was a demon king of the Eastern Domain, a great demon at the second level of the Tribulation Transcendence Realm.
However, unlike the demons of this region, he was relatively friendly toward human cultivators.
He would even occasionally sit down with Bei Yunlan for a drink.
At this point, the group understood that the danger to Qin Yangjun had been completely neutralized.
In fact, it was he who was the danger; all of these demon kings were doomed to fall at his hands.
Fu Haiqing sighed with admiration.
“It’s a shame it’s a one-time use item. Otherwise, it would be another great superweapon.”
Shi Huanyu looked at Mu Xianxian.
“Sect Master Mu, when did your artifact refinement skills become so profound? In a few days, I’ll prepare some materials. How about you help me refine a few treasures?”
Mu Xianxian, however, was filled with confusion.
She clearly remembered that the Wind-Lightning Pearl she had created was nowhere near this powerful.
If it had been, why would she have tossed it to Zhuang Hancheng? Wouldn’t it have been better to give it to her own brother?
Meanwhile, in the Blazing Tomb, Qin Yangjun could feel that the life force of the demon kings had almost completely vanished.
At the same time, a crack appeared on the Wind-Lightning Pearl in his hand.
It was clearly on the verge of shattering.
But just to be safe, he decided to launch one final assault.
He poured more energy into the Wind-Lightning Pearl, then left it hanging in the air as he leaped back down into the Blazing Tomb.
As Qin Yangjun landed inside the Blazing Tomb, the Wind-Lightning Pearl began to tremble violently.
White light erupted from the cracks covering its surface, as if something was about to burst forth from within.
BOOM!
A deafening explosion rent the air.
The final burst of energy from the Wind-Lightning Pearl unleashed a cataclysmic tidal wave.
The raging hurricane, interwoven with lightning, scoured the land, shearing away half of the Blazing Tomb’s peak.
