Chapter 70: The Appearance of the Mysterious Noble

The purple-haired vampire’s eyes widened.
The squad he had brought with him was instantly decimated.
With just a single sword strike, Su Xiao Zi had almost cleaved a boundary—the boundary between the living and the dead.

Tina struggled to get up.
Seeing Su Xiao Zi’s entire body radiating a golden light, she realized she had never seen her Vice-Instructor display such power before…

But soon, this uncontrollable power began to fade away.

Su Xiao Zi regained a sliver of consciousness, and the immense aura around her body receded.

The Bloodkin saw his chance.
He understood that Su Xiao Zi was an Exterminator who had yet to fully awaken her talent.
Her power only erupted intermittently, and now was her moment of greatest weakness!

The Bloodkin immediately rushed forward.
Flashes of his sword descended, only to clash against hard blades.

“CLANG!”

He froze for a moment, then immediately retreated several more steps.
At the same time, three longswords had appeared to block the way in front of Su Xiao Zi.
Shockingly, the three who had suddenly appeared were all Bloodkin wearing Rose Legion uniforms.

“Wh-what…!?”
“What do you think you’re doing?”

“BASTARD!!!”

Suddenly, a roar filled with rage descended from the sky.
Like a bomb swiftly falling, a figure plummeted from above, landing with a boom that sent dust flying.

Before any of the common vampires the purple-haired Bloodkin had brought could even react, a blade flashing with a cold, sharp light had already lopped their heads from their bodies!

The scene instantly descended into chaos.

Scalding blood splattered across the purple-haired Bloodkin’s face.
He stared wide-eyed as his squad members were inexplicably killed by someone who had appeared out of nowhere, and rage instantly welled up from within him.

However, what stunned him into a stupor again was that the person who had killed all his squad members was dressed in a human convenience store uniform, the white apron not even taken off.

But this person, despite his attire, was also a Bloodkin, and a noble one at that.

For a moment, it was difficult to distinguish friend from foe.
Su Xiao Zi’s mind also went blank.
The three Bloodkin in Rose Legion uniforms beside her had blocked the attack for her, while another Bloodkin had killed the rest of the minions.

The ones who appeared at such a critical moment weren’t Exterminators, but four Bloodkin…?

“Hey, state your name, lowlife.”

The Bloodkin in the convenience store uniform had crimson eyes and radiated a ferocious anger.
His gaze was fixed tightly on Tina, who was lying on the ground with her legs broken, her whole body sparking with electricity, unable to move.

Within that gaze was endless fury, which for a moment left even the purple-haired Bloodkin at a loss.

“And who are you!?” the purple-haired vampire demanded, suppressing his anger.

“Me?”
“Heh, I am a scion of the Sixth Progenitor’s bloodline, the noble Aibrune!”

“A scion of the Sixth Progenitor’s bloodline…”
“L-Lord Noble…”

Hearing the word “noble,” the purple-haired vampire’s expression changed drastically.
His previous arrogant demeanor instantly wilted.
Though unwilling, he dared not show the slightest defiance and immediately became respectful.

All four members of the Rose squad had arrived.
Three of the members stood in a circle around Su Xiao Zi.
Rather than saying they wanted to protect her, it was more accurate to say they were simply following their captain’s orders.

After regaining her senses, Su Xiao Zi looked around uneasily.

All four members of the Rose squad were gathered here.

Three of them surrounded Su Xiao Zi.
It was less about protecting her and more about strictly following their captain’s command.
And… that Bloodkin named Aibrune had actually killed members of the Rose Legion.

But no matter how chaotic the situation was, Su Xiao Zi’s only concern was for Tina.
Taking advantage of the stalemate, she quickly rushed to Tina’s side, helped her up, and held her tightly, her eyes filled with worry.

Under the pressure of Aibrune’s gaze, the purple-haired Bloodkin didn’t dare to stop her.
He only asked with a strained smile, “But, Lord Noble.”
“What is the meaning of this, killing my squad members the moment you arrive?”

“You should know that with the Rose Legion jointly attacking human territory, infighting is absolutely forbidden.”
“This is an act of betrayal.”
“The consequences of betrayal… I’m sure I don’t need to tell you.”

He glanced at the three Rose squad members beside them and continued, “And your squad members just blocked my sword to protect a human.”
“What is the meaning of that?”
“Are you insisting on sheltering a human?”

His squad had been completely wiped out in a surprise attack by Aibrune.
The purple-haired vampire had lost face, and his tone was laced with suppressed anger.

Aibrune raked a hand through his short golden hair.
His dashingly handsome appearance was completely at odds with the work uniform and apron he wore.
His gaze was like two cold, sharp blades, stabbing toward the purple-haired Bloodkin.

“Shelter a human?”
“A joke.”
“While I bear no deep hatred for humans, I have not the slightest pity for them either.”

“Oh?”
“Then what is your purpose for being here?”

The purple-haired Bloodkin gradually tightened his grip on his sword.
He had already sensed Aibrune’s hostility; this was not a confrontation that should be happening between Bloodkin.

He had to be ready at any moment, lest he too be instantly killed like the others.

Being asked his purpose, Aibrune seemed to lose control of his emotions.
He pointed his sword directly at the purple-haired Bloodkin’s neck with righteous fury and said with a grim face:

“I was just happening to pass by, but I saw a girl I’ve taken a liking to being destroyed by you.”
“If not for those three idiots desperately stopping me from starting a Bloodkin civil war, I would have already cut off your head!”

“A girl you’ve taken a liking to?”
“A human?”
“My apologies, I was not aware that this was your livestock.”
“She bore no markings, but she seems to possess the Sacred Forbidden Aura within her.”
“I must ask you to please—”

Before he could finish, the blood-red light in Aibrune’s eyes flared.
He cut him off, his voice dripping with killing intent as he asked:

“Livestock?”
“You mean to say, you call the girl I’ve set my eyes on, livestock?”
