Chapter 74:Sheffield’s Demonic Claw (2)

“Captain…”

“…Lord Aibrune?”

As that blood-soaked arc of light slashed through the air, the three members of the Rose Squad were completely frozen in place.
Everything happened in a flash—before they could even feel shocked, Aibrune had been slain by a single sword strike from the strange human youth before them.

What shocked them even more.

Was Sheffield’s distinctive uniform—it belonged to the Seraphim Legion.

The youth wore white gloves with gold trim, and a longsword of interwoven gold and white now stood planted in the ground before him.

A pure white cape hung down, its edges adorned with tassel-like gold threads, a white formal hat sat askew on his head, and a single black feather trembled lightly in the wind.
Beneath his neat bangs was a cold, scrutinizing gaze.

The uniforms of the Seraphim were never subtle.

As former royal guards, they had always crushed others with their extreme luxury and majesty.

And what emanated from this youth who called himself “Sheffield” was not just the pressure that came with his status—but a terrifying aura that was almost palpable, constantly corroding its surroundings.

The name of that aura was ‘Invincibility’.

‘Why… is a human Exterminator wearing the uniform of a Bloodkin legion?’

And there had long been bad blood between the Seraphim Legion and the Rose Legion.
Now, for an Exterminator with a human identity to join the Seraphim in such a manner—to them, this was no different from the apocalypse.

The three quickly exchanged glances, then knelt almost simultaneously, bowing their heads low.
This was submission, and even more, it was a plea for survival.
Even Aibrune, a noble, had been killed in an instant; they stood no chance at all.

Sheffield lightly tipped the brim of his hat, the corners of his mouth curling into a contemptuous arc.
Watching these self-proclaimed noble Bloodkin kneel before him, a near-cruel delight welled up in his heart.

He had always believed that as long as one’s power was great enough, there was nothing that couldn’t be conquered—not even the arrogance of the Bloodkin.

“This is the consequence of not fighting with all your might.”
His voice was not loud, yet every word was like ice.
“I trust the three of you remaining will take this as a lesson.
The battlefield is your only glorious end—I look forward to you dying a worthy death.”

“Yes.”
“Yes.”
“Yes.”

The three responded in low voices, cold sweat already drenching their backs.

‘What in the world is this?’

‘This monster… is he really human?’

‘I can’t meet his gaze, I absolutely cannot look him in the eye… I’ll die!’

They didn’t even have time to determine the true rank of the Exterminator before them, but they knew this person was exceedingly powerful.
The oppressive feeling from a mere S-rank Exterminator was already intense, yet this man surpassed even that!

What he brought was a pressure far beyond their comprehension.

It was a suffocation like plunging into a ten-thousand-meter-deep trench, an intimidation that threatened to crush their very souls.

Sheffield spread his arms wide, declaring as if delivering a judgment, “Vampires, you inferior race—you are only fit to bow at my feet, to kneel before me for eternity.”

He sneered, “Now, get lost.
Use your pathetic forms to beg for a final few moments to cling to life.”

‘This is bad.
The situation is more hopeless than ever before.’

This human was suffocatingly powerful, and his hatred and contempt for the Bloodkin were completely undisguised.

‘What’s with this guy, can it be that even Lord Julius can’t handle him?’

The aura from him alone was enough to match the combat strength of the entire Rose Legion.

A moment’s carelessness, and they would lose their lives here, just like Aibrune.

If this continued, the pressure alone would be enough to drive them mad—one of the squad members was already clutching his collar tightly, his throat constricting as a strong wave of nausea washed over him.

He had never imagined that such a despair-inducing pressure could exist in this world.
