Chapter 90: The Immortal Aibrune

Location: Exterminator Army’s defensive front line.

After a fierce battle, the area in front of the teaching building had become a sea of blood.
The weaker Bloodkin left only shocking pools of blood, their bodies long since burned to ash by extermination power.

The three members of the Rose Squad, in order to survive, had no choice but to bow to Sheffield and were ordered to search for and engage human Exterminators.
However, as soon as Sheffield left to pursue Su Xiao Zi, the three quietly returned.

They stood silently before Aibrune’s corpse, the air seemingly frozen.

After a moment, someone finally spoke:

“The captain… was killed just like that?”
“So it’s not just us; even the lives of nobles are this fragile…”
“What’s the deal with that human named Sheffield?”
“I’ve never felt such a terrifying sense of pressure.”

Squad Member Three slowly squatted down, staring at the ground with a vacant gaze.

“Although I’ve always wanted to be captain… for it to happen in such a tragic way is really hard to accept.”
“But I know, the captain wouldn’t die so easily, right?”

“Huh?”
The other two squad members were stunned, unable to understand the deeper meaning of his words for a moment.

Just as they thought Squad Member Three was simply mourning Aibrune, a shocking scene unfolded before their eyes!

“Ah, you’re right.”
“After all, I am the fledgling chosen by the Sixth Progenitor.”
“If I died so easily, it would be too embarrassing for the great Progenitor.”
Aibrune’s voice suddenly sounded again!

Squad Member Three seemed to have expected this and showed a knowing smile, while the other two turned pale with horror and backed away repeatedly.

“Wh-what’s going on?!”
“His head was cleanly chopped off, how could he possibly…”

The headless body lying in a pool of blood suddenly stood up.
Aibrune walked briskly to his own head, bent down to pick it up, and firmly pressed it back onto his neck.

An astonishing regenerative power erupted the moment the head and body made contact.
The wound healed at a speed visible to the naked eye, leaving only a frightening bloodstain, but no scar at all.

Aibrune moved his facial muscles, his stiff expression gradually becoming animated.

“Until little Tina is out of danger, I absolutely cannot fall!”

Restored to his original state, Aibrune acted as if nothing had happened.
He placed a fist on his chest and said this with a righteous expression, plunging his two squad members into deep self-doubt.

‘What a joke!’
‘This has to be a joke!’

‘He didn’t die even after that!?’

‘And he even revived completely unharmed?!’
‘And here we were, grieving so genuinely just now!’

‘And his first words after reviving were about Tina?!’
‘Speaking of which, ever since that time, the captain can’t go three sentences without mentioning Tina.’
‘Is he that fascinated by that humanoid weapon girl…?’

Aibrune twisted his neck, energetically surveying the devastated battlefield, and couldn’t help but shake his head.

Sheffield’s strength was far beyond imagination.
The moment they clashed, he knew that no Bloodkin present was his match; fighting him rashly would just be throwing their lives away.

The top priority was to find Tina.
After that human girl took her away, Sheffield immediately gave chase.
Judging from the snippets of conversation, Sheffield’s target seemed to be only that girl.

“I don’t care what happens to that human girl, the key is that Tina can’t get hurt.”
“We have to find a place to repair her as soon as possible… Just like humans go to the hospital and animals go to the vet, robots should have their own dedicated repair shops.”

Aibrune muttered to himself while scratching his head, completely oblivious to his squad members’ petrified expressions.

It was only when he noticed the unusual silence that he asked in surprise, “Huh?!”
“Why do you guys look like you’ve seen a ghost?”

“Don’t you know that the bloodline trait of the Sixth Progenitor is [Phoenix]?”

“Hehe, trying to take my life is not that easy.”
