“What are you doing?”
[ Ding! Cuckold Value +2 ]
Liu Qiu’s mind went blank. She turned around and saw a figure standing on the staircase.
She couldn’t actually see the person’s face clearly, but the sudden increase in cuckold value and that familiar voice told her exactly who it was.
Her voice rose instinctively.
“Wife—why are you here?”
Bai Qingqing and Shi Ran had barely met, yet they’d already given her two whole points of cuckold value. Very efficient.
Bai Qingqing looked at Liu Qiu, whose posture made it seem as if she were practically throwing herself into someone else’s arms, and didn’t answer her question.
Her delicate brows knit together. A shimmer of moisture welled in her beautiful eyes.
“Qiūqiū, why are you standing so close to this omega?”
She added that Liu Qiu’s scent had been lingering around the stairwell for so long—so that was because she’d been getting all cozy with an omega.
Liu Qiu couldn’t make out Bai Qingqing’s expression clearly. She squinted and frowned, trying her best to see, and hurriedly explained why she was so close to Shi Ran.
“Wife, I was just asking her to give my glasses back to me.”
Her voice was very soft. Combined with her slightly reddened cheeks and eyes, Bai Qingqing interpreted it as Liu Qiu complaining to her in a wronged, pitiful way.
Liu Qiu really was useless—an Alpha in this society, yet afraid even of an Omega. Far too weak. Far too easy to bully.
Bai Qingqing wasn’t from this world. She distinguished genders using a snake’s innate perception.
An Alpha’s aura was aggressive and domineering, while an Omega’s was gentle and soft.
Besides, this wasn’t the first time she had seen this Omega.
Bai Qingqing walked up behind Liu Qiu. An apologetic smile appeared on her face, though her jet-black pupils reflected none of Shi Ran’s image.
“Sorry, Miss Shi. Could you please return my wife’s glasses?”
Bai Qingqing was dazzlingly beautiful, her posture gentle and graceful, exuding a natural, irresistible allure.
Shi Ran raised an eyebrow and casually put the glasses back onto Liu Qiu’s face.
“I was just joking around with Liu Qiu.”
Liu Qiu’s vision snapped back into focus. She met Shi Ran’s gaze—and the heavy, undisguised threat hidden within it. She nodded slowly and stammered, “Yes… Miss Shi Ran was j-just joking with me.”
Why threaten her? Afraid Bai Qingqing would learn what kind of person she really was?
Shi Ran immediately laughed. Her smile was almost too beautiful. Liu Qiu lowered her head awkwardly and murmured, “I should go now.”
Shi Ran teased her.
“I just stopped you from falling down the stairs, you know.”
“And you’re leaving already?”
“Shouldn’t you at least treat me to a meal?”
Liu Qiu clenched the strap of her small bag and looked helplessly at Bai Qingqing.
She hesitated, then called out softly, “…Wife.”
Watching Liu Qiu like this only intensified the malice in Shi Ran’s heart.
Look at her—how could there be such an Alpha?
Even calling her own wife, she looked pitiful and pathetic.
Bai Qingqing smiled gently.
“How about this—Miss Shi, why don’t you come to our place for dinner tonight?”
Liu Qiu’s heart tightened.
Was this where unspeakable things were about to begin?
Bai Qingqing had actually invited Shi Ran to their home.
It looked like Shi Ran was one step ahead of Song Ciyu.
[Host, stop dawdling, or you’ll have to run to work again. You’re a wage s*ave now, you know.]
The system’s lazy electronic voice sounded especially irritating at this moment.
Liu Qiu couldn’t help tugging at Bai Qingqing’s sleeve.
“Wife, I’m going to be late for work.”
“I’m leaving.”
As long as Bai Qingqing said “okay,” she would bolt immediately and let the two of them chat here on their own.
Bai Qingqing lowered her gaze to Liu Qiu’s slender wrist clutching her sleeve and inexplicably felt like she was looking at a puppy.
Soft. Easy to bully. Anyone could step on her.
She snapped back to her senses and frowned unconsciously.
“Didn’t I say that without my permission, you’re not allowed to touch me?”
She took a small step back, avoiding Liu Qiu’s grasp.
Though Bai Qingqing’s voice was gentle and her expression soft, the disdain in her eyes was unmistakable.
Liu Qiu’s fingers tightened helplessly, then slowly dropped along with her head.
Her voice grew even smaller.
“S-sorry, wife. I didn’t mean to.”
She looked utterly dejected.
The system clicked its tongue.
[Host, your true identity is actually a simp.]
Liu Qiu ignored it. Staring at the floor, she felt even more convinced that Bai Qingqing treated the original owner as nothing more than a tool.
Shi Ran saw everything clearly.
So Bai Qingqing didn’t really care about Liu Qiu after all.
Perfect. A pervert like Liu Qiu deserved to be despised.
In high spirits, Shi Ran said cheerfully,
“I’ll come tonight. Thank you for the invitation.”
She wanted to see even more scenes of Liu Qiu being bullied.
Cowardly and dull—someone who wouldn’t dare speak up even when wronged.
She really wanted to ask Bai Qingqing what it felt like to bully an Alpha.
It must be amazing.
Just watching Liu Qiu look at her with that wronged expression already made Shi Ran feel euphoric.
Disgusting people deserved disgusting treatment.
Shi Ran could never forget that day.
She had knocked on her neighbor’s door, hoping they could help her move a sofa. That was the first time she saw Liu Qiu and Bai Qingqing.
A stunningly beautiful Beta and an extremely gloomy inferior Alpha—such a family.
Liu Qiu had agreed to help. Shi Ran let her into the living room, then went to fetch something. When she returned, she saw Liu Qiu squatting on the floor, holding clothes Shi Ran had worn, pressing them to her nose and inhaling with an intoxicated expression.
In that instant, an overwhelming wave of nausea surged through Shi Ran, so strong that even now, seeing Liu Qiu still made her feel sick.
This gloomy, isolated, perverted inferior Alpha belonged in the shadows—unwanted by everyone.
Shi Ran brushed past Liu Qiu and walked up to Bai Qingqing. In front of Liu Qiu, she reached out and placed her hand on Bai Qingqing’s shoulder. It looked like she was talking to Bai Qingqing, but her attention was entirely on Liu Qiu. Her smile was dazzling.
“I’ll definitely come.”
Bai Qingqing glanced at the hand on her shoulder. It didn’t actually touch her—just hovered there—so she didn’t brush it away. She lowered her eyes slightly, her gaze turning meaningful.
Liu Qiu sneaked a glance at the two of them, then quickly lowered her head again. She thought she was being discreet, but in Bai Qingqing’s and Shi Ran’s eyes, her movements were practically in slow motion.
With her head lowered, she looked like an abandoned puppy. Her thin, frail body even trembled faintly—pitiful to the extreme.
Little did they know, Liu Qiu was gossiping with the system in her mind.
[Do you think Shi Ran and Bai Qingqing already have something going on? They look pretty close.]
The system chattered back.
[Host, don’t overthink it. The progress bar hasn’t moved.]
Thinking about it, Liu Qiu agreed. If the bar hadn’t moved, then her hat still wasn’t green enough.
Shi Ran didn’t linger. She withdrew her hand, exchanged a brief goodbye, and left.
Bai Qingqing watched Liu Qiu, her eyes darkening.
“Qiūqiū, didn’t you say you’re going to work? Hurry up and go.”
Liu Qiu looked up, as if granted amnesty. Being the original owner really wasn’t easy—she couldn’t leave unless her wife said so.
Now that Bai Qingqing had spoken, Liu Qiu hurried away.
Standing on the steps, watching Liu Qiu’s retreating figure, Bai Qingqing narrowed her eyes. A thick haze of lust spread through them.
Bai Qingqing was a demon. She had always looked at humans the way one looked at prey.
Now, Liu Qiu’s status in her eyes had risen slightly—from prey to a human who could at least be of some use.
At the very least, she was quite attached to Liu Qiu’s warm body and didn’t particularly want others coveting it.
She could see that Omega’s intentions clearly—her target was obviously Liu Qiu.
In this world, Alphas and Omegas were naturally attracted to each other, so Bai Qingqing found it perfectly normal that an Omega would be drawn to Liu Qiu.
But an Alpha like Liu Qiu couldn’t satisfy an Omega.
Tonight, she would make that Omega understand one thing clearly—
Liu Qiu would only ever lie beneath her.
No Omega would accept an Alpha who had already been pressed down by someone else.
Strangely enough, Bai Qingqing felt excited.
She couldn’t wait for night to arrive.
***
Although she’d been delayed on the stairs for over ten minutes, she had left early today, so there was no need to rush to work.
When she reached her workstation, Liu Qiu glanced to the side. Zhao An hadn’t arrived yet. She let out a small sigh of relief. Zhao An was tall and strong—she was afraid he might really beat her up today if he was still angry.
If she got beaten down, she’d just lie on the ground and not get up.
Thinking this, Liu Qiu set her shoulder bag on the desk. Just as she was about to sit down, Song Ciyu’s pleasant voice sounded beside her.
“Liu Qiu, your work location won’t be here anymore.”
Liu Qiu lifted her head blankly. Her pale pink lips parted slightly, revealing a glimpse of her soft tongue. Song Ciyu, expressionless as ever, lightly tapped her fingers on Shen Ke’s computer.
“Pack up. Once you’re done, come to my office.”
Liu Qiu stared at Song Ciyu’s retreating back for a moment, then lowered her head and began clearing her desk.
The office quickly filled with whispers.
Song Ciyu was being so high-profile—there was no way people wouldn’t gossip.
“Liu Qiu got transferred? That’s great. I didn’t want to sit near her anyway—she’s gloomy all day long. So annoying.”
“Same. I prefer strong Alphas like Zhao An and Director Song. An Alpha like Liu Qiu—I could probably pick her up myself.”
“You’ve got guts saying that. But Director Song really is the perfect Alpha—strict, rational, emotionally stable, not irritable at all, clean, and with a great family background. The ideal partner.”
“Heh, I heard the calmer someone looks on the surface, the more twisted they are inside. Maybe Director Song is totally different in private—like tying someone’s eyes with a tie and doing rough, nasty things. Heehee.”
Liu Qiu’s ears were about to go numb. Every comment about her was negative. After spending so long with these coworkers, not a single one cared about the original owner. Just how badly had she failed at being a person?
Director’s Office.
Song Ciyu sat in her chair, looking at the blue sky and white clouds outside the window, letting her friend’s chatter go in one ear and out the other.
Xu Man babbled nonstop.
“Old Song, go with me. My cousin won’t stop bugging me—she wants to meet you.”
“You know it—my cousin’s friend is really pretty, but that brat insists I bring you before she’ll bring her friend.”
“Song~”
Song Ciyu replied flatly, “No. Keep talking and I’ll have security throw you out.”
Xu Man clicked her tongue and changed the subject, her gaze falling on the extra desk in the office.
“Old Song, why’d you add another workstation in here?”
Song Ciyu shot her a glance.
“I want to seduce someone.”
The calm statement hit Xu Man like a thunderbolt. She laughed awkwardly.
“Old Song, you’re joking, right?”
A knock sounded at the door. Song Ciyu withdrew her gaze from Xu Man, straightened up, and said solemnly, “Come in.”
Xu Man wasn’t surprised by the sudden shift—Song Ciyu had always been good at pretending. Serious on the outside, wicked on the inside.
Liu Qiu opened the door, first poking her head in, then her body, cautious like a timid rabbit.
Holding a cardboard box, she spoke softly.
“D-Director Song, I’m here.”
Song Ciyu lifted her eyes slightly, her gaze locking onto Liu Qiu. She pointed concisely at the desk beside her.
“Liu Qiu, this will be your workstation from now on.”
Liu Qiu shuddered.
At such close range, it seemed Song Ciyu really had her eyes on Bai Qingqing and had already begun taking action. If she got close to Liu Qiu, she could see Bai Qingqing anytime she wanted.
Liu Qiu’s lips trembled. After a moment, she nodded gently.
“O-okay, Director Song.” She didn’t ask why.
After all, the original owner’s persona was someone who silently accepted everything.
Xu Man stared at the meek Liu Qiu, her expression looking like a palette that had been overturned—every color imaginable.
Whenever she had nothing to do, she came to chat with Song Ciyu, and occasionally to see if there were any pretty Omegas or Betas around. She’d heard rumors about an inferior Alpha named Liu Qiu.
A gloomy, married Alpha. Withdrawn, taciturn, a bit slow.
If she hadn’t seen wrong just now, the name on the badge hanging from that bespectacled person’s neck really was Liu Qiu.
Too small and thin for an Alpha. Pale skin. Head perpetually lowered. She looked fragile and sickly.
By Xu Man’s standards, this Alpha was plain to the extreme—no appeal whatsoever based on appearance alone.
And marriage alone was enough to shock her.
She looked at Song Ciyu, her gaze indescribable.
So this was why her friend had never looked for anyone all these years—
She liked married people.
And this kind of simple, unremarkable, bean-sprout-like Alpha, at that.
What a unique taste.
Truly worthy of Song Ciyu.
Frigid for years, and now finally gone completely perverted.
