Chapter 116: Discuss

When Liu Qiu woke up, the moonlight was already gone, leaving only faint light lingering in the room.

She could barely make out vague silhouettes, but her bodily awareness was sharper than ever.

The bed was shaking.

Her body was shaking too.

She felt strangely hollow.

Liu Qiu opened her aching eyes and stared into the darkness.

Her voice came out hoarse.
“Fu Jinyin.”

No one responded.

Right… Fu Jinyin had taken off her hearing aid. She couldn’t hear her speaking.

Liu Qiu felt her leg being lifted very high.

Fu Jinyin had figured it out on her own.

Liu Qiu had thought Fu Jinyin wouldn’t know how.

“Fu Jinyin… I’m so tired.”

“It feels awful.” Her raspy voice echoed again and again in the room.

But there was still no response.

Liu Qiu’s breathing was rapid, and she felt as if she were dehydrated.

The bed beneath her was damp and sticky, filled with a smell that was hard to describe.

Not unpleasant, but not fragrant either.

It was the scent left behind after unrestrained desire.

The room was too dark for her to see clearly, yet her senses were painfully vivid.

Fu Jinyin was pressed tightly against her.

“Jinyin… Fu Jinyin… I don’t have any strength left.”

Fu Jinyin’s world was silent.

She was no longer afraid of this quiet emptiness.

Because Liu Qiu was right in front of her.

Beautiful, soft, burning hot—she made Fu Jinyin’s heart feel as though it had finally fallen heavily to the ground.

She wasn’t afraid of silence anymore.

Tilting her head, Fu Jinyin bit down on the slender pale ankle she was holding.

Her movements grew stronger.

She had never done this before.

But when Liu Qiu had touched her in the past, it had felt good.

She wanted it.

That strange, unfamiliar feeling.

So little by little, she learned how to press close.

Little by little, she explored more things.

Everything had been practiced on Liu Qiu.

Yet it still wasn’t enough.

Now she understood why Liu Qiu had wanted to sleep with her.

That strange sensation was addictive.

Her heart was beating fast, her body burning hot.

Emotions she had never experienced before.

Even the night Liu Qiu had been drunk hadn’t felt like this.

That night she had only felt pain.

But tonight was different.

Liu Qiu knew she was a monster, yet she hadn’t rejected her—instead she had accepted her.

Fu Jinyin wanted more than just closeness.

She wanted to feel Liu Qiu’s warmth even more deeply.

To watch her tremble.

To hear her cry.

“I want it,” Fu Jinyin’s hoarse voice murmured softly.

The faint sound reached Liu Qiu’s ears, along with the wet slapping noise of liquid against flesh.

The weight on her body suddenly disappeared.

Liu Qiu thought Fu Jinyin had finally stopped.

She had no idea how much time had passed.

She had already woken up from unconsciousness once, yet Fu Jinyin still hadn’t finished.

Surely it should be over now.

But before Liu Qiu could relax, a cool, wet sensation with strong suction suddenly wrapped around her ankle.

Her heart instantly leapt into her throat.

She truly couldn’t continue.

She was only an ordinary human.

If this went on any longer, she would break.

The corners of Liu Qiu’s eyes were flushed red, her gaze moist.
Her voice was hoarse. “Fu Jinyin… don’t use the tentacles anymore.”

“I’ll help you instead… okay?”

Naturally, Fu Jinyin couldn’t hear her words.

All she saw was the beautiful redness at the corners of Liu Qiu’s eyes.

“Gluup—”

Liu Qiu’s body trembled slightly.

It didn’t hurt, but the sensation was far too vivid.

It was sucking on her.

Liu Qiu clenched her fingers and pressed her lips together, then kicked Fu Jinyin in the chest.

“No more.”

That kick seemed to work.

At least Fu Jinyin stopped moving.

Suddenly, Fu Jinyin’s body leaned down over her again, bracing herself on both sides of Liu Qiu’s arms.

Only then did Liu Qiu realize that dawn was approaching.

The dim morning light seeped through the room.

It was faint, but enough for her to see Fu Jinyin’s face clearly.

“Drip—”

A tear fell in front of Liu Qiu’s eyes.

A cold drop landed on her cheek.

Liu Qiu’s eyes widened slightly.

Fu Jinyin’s eyes were swollen red.

How long had she been crying for them to look like that?

Fu Jinyin’s voice was extremely hoarse.

“Why… did you kick me?”

“Do you… not want me to do it anymore?”

Liu Qiu stiffly nodded.

She was truly exhausted.

Maybe because she had been lying down for too long, her back was sore from the friction.

But when she nodded, Fu Jinyin’s tears flowed even harder.

They dripped endlessly onto Liu Qiu’s face.

“I don’t want that.”

“My heart… hurts. So I have to do it.”

“Why… are you rejecting me? I feel so wronged.”

Fu Jinyin spoke haltingly, expressing her feelings little by little.

Her tears kept falling one after another.

The delicate face that was usually expressionless was now covered with tear tracks, giving her an unexpectedly pitiful look.

Liu Qiu finally gave up struggling.

She reached out and cupped Fu Jinyin’s face, gently wiping away her tears.

Then she pushed her aside.

Fu Jinyin hadn’t used much strength.

When Liu Qiu pushed her, she simply followed the motion and fell back.

Her tears still wouldn’t stop.

All her tentacles curled up along with her body.

“Liu Qiu… I feel so wronged.”

“You kicked me… and you rejected me.”

Liu Qiu sighed softly.

She wanted to touch Fu Jinyin, but once the tentacles wrapped around her, she couldn’t even find where to begin.

“Jinyin, can you hear me?”

“Turn back into your legs—”

But clearly she couldn’t hear.

Fu Jinyin remained curled into a ball.

Liu Qiu closed her eyes and slowly turned over onto the bed.

After a moment—

Fu Jinyin slowly lifted her head.

She saw Liu Qiu lying face down, pointing behind herself.

Fu Jinyin suddenly understood what Liu Qiu meant.

Liu Qiu rested her face against the pillow, staring out the window.

The scenery in her vision rose and fell.

She had no strength left.

But the tentacle wrapped around her waist was strong, lifting her hips and forcing her to maintain the position.

“Fu Jinyin… I’m really going to break…”

At ten in the morning, a flight from Country A landed in City Z.

The moment Duan Fan stepped out of the airport, she saw Chaoyue waiting there.

She hadn’t told Duan Liming her arrival time.

But naturally, nothing could be hidden from Duan Liming.

After putting her suitcase in the back seat, Duan Fan got into the car.

“Let’s go. I’ll set the navigation.”

Chaoyue rubbed her face lazily before placing her hands on the steering wheel.

“Sorry.”

“Sister Liming told me to take you to the company.”

Duan Fan chuckled and leaned back against the seat.

“Alright then.”

Since Duan Liming had asked her to return to the country, she definitely wouldn’t let her go looking for Liu Qiu so easily.

But this worked out too.

If she stayed beside Duan Liming, she could keep an eye on what she planned to do.

Her gaze shifted to Chaoyue beside her.

“Chaoyue, lend me your phone for a moment.”

“I’ll transfer you one hundred thousand later.”

Chaoyue narrowed her eyes slightly and tossed the phone over.

“Password’s 123456.”

Duan Fan unlocked it and opened Chaoyue’s WeChat.

She scanned the contact list but couldn’t find Liu Qiu’s contact.

“Chaoyue, do you really not remember Liu Qiu, or are you pretending not to?”

Chaoyue stepped on the accelerator.

The tires spun rapidly, and the scenery outside the window rushed past.

She smiled.
“Why would I lie to you?”

Duan Fan closed the phone and placed it in the storage compartment.

She pressed the bridge of her nose and rubbed it lightly.

“Forget it. Maybe it’s better if you don’t remember.”

Liu Qiu had always been more tolerant toward Chaoyue than toward her.

If Chaoyue truly didn’t remember, then Duan Fan had one less strong competitor.

Chaoyue stared ahead with relaxed brows.

Liu Qiu… who exactly was she?

Perhaps someone with fair skin, double eyelids, and slightly drooping eyes.

Xingyun Tower, 12th floor.

Duan Liming’s office was located here.

“Sis.”

Duan Fan greeted her briefly before dropping onto the sofa.

Chaoyue did the same.

The two of them lounged lazily on opposite ends of the couch.

Fortunately their faces were beautiful—otherwise they would have looked like complete hooligans.

Chaoyue took out her phone and started playing a game.

She had no interest in getting involved in the conversation between the sisters.

Duan Liming turned her head toward Duan Fan.

“Duan Fan. You have one chance to obtain Liu Qiu.”

Duan Fan paused, then slowly curled her lips into a smile.

“Sis… what exactly are you thinking?”

“Are you planning to make me marry Liu Qiu after all?”

Duan Liming replied calmly.

“No. It’s only because you’re my sister.”

Duan Fan laughed.

“So you’re giving me a chance?”

How ridiculous.

Was Duan Liming treating her like a dog?

First she had thrown her overseas without explanation.

Now she called her back and started talking about sisterly feelings.

Did Duan Liming even have emotions?

Duan Fan leaned against the sofa and spread her hands.

“Fine. Go ahead—where’s this opportunity?”

Duan Liming could easily have kept her abroad forever.

If she suddenly allowed her back, it meant she was calculating something.

Duan Fan smiled, but her eyes held no warmth.

Duan Liming spoke unhurriedly.

“From now on, stay at the company. Don’t go looking for Liu Qiu.”

“She will come looking for you.”

“You have two days.”

“If she’s willing to marry you, I won’t interfere anymore.”

“But if she refuses…”

“Then, as my sister, I hope you’ll come to the wedding smiling.”

Duan Fan suddenly stood up.

Duan Liming was definitely plotting something.

Yet she had no way to refuse this sudden generosity.

“Fine. Two days it is.”

“Bang—!”

The door slammed shut behind her.

Chaoyue’s eyes never left her phone screen, but she spoke casually.

“Sister Liming, you and this Liu Qiu haven’t even started anything yet.”

“How are you so sure the two of you will get married?”

Duan Liming lowered her long lashes.

Her dark eyes beneath them reflected no light.

Why was she so certain?

Probably because Liu Qiu had already discovered the secret of Subject 112.

112 wouldn’t kill Liu Qiu.

But her unstable emotions might push her into doing excessive things.

That would force Liu Qiu to seek someone out for advice—to investigate what 112 really was.

It was only natural.

If the person living under the same roof suddenly turned into a monster…

A normal person would call the police immediately.

But Duan Liming guessed Liu Qiu’s personality wouldn’t allow that.

She would choose to hide it.

And bring it up indirectly with someone else.

Given Liu Qiu’s social circle, that person could only be Duan Fan.

Duan Fan was too self-centered and immature.

She loved making crude jokes.

Liu Qiu would feel uncomfortable and eventually exclude her.

Then on the seventh day, Fu Jinyin would ask Liu Qiu for a divorce.

Liu Qiu would agree.

And at that point, Liu Qiu wouldn’t seek help from anyone.

That would be when Liu Yaoming would apply pressure.

Duan Liming had already hinted to Liu Yaoming—use Fu Jinyin as a threat.

Every possible development unfolded clearly in Duan Liming’s mind.

It would succeed.

This was the gentlest method.

No coercion.

Just guiding events onto a different trajectory.

Duan Liming’s gaze shifted toward Chaoyue.

“Chaoyue. Go watch Duan Fan.”

“Don’t let her leave the company.”

If Duan Fan left, Liu Qiu might not be able to find her.

Chaoyue put away her phone and lazily stood up.

“Sure.”

When Liu Qiu woke again, the sky was already bright.

Sunlight streaming through the window forced her to squint.

“Fu Jinyin…”

The moment she spoke, she was startled by how hoarse her voice was.

Her throat was so rough that even speaking sounded unclear.

Her head hurt.

Her body hurt.

Everything hurt.

It felt like if she sat up, something might start leaking out.

Of course, that was just a feeling.

When Liu Qiu actually sat up, she only felt her waist aching, her legs weak.

She truly felt like she might die in bed.

Pressing a hand to her temple, she asked the system,

[What time is it?]

The system replied in a mechanical tone.

[Hello. The current time is XX, 3 PM.]

Liu Qiu’s head was spinning, so she didn’t notice the system joking.

She climbed out of bed and suddenly realized how empty her body felt.

Looking down, she discovered she was still completely naked.

Red marks covered her entire body.

The sight was rather terrifying.

She slowly walked into the bathroom and filled the bathtub with hot water before lowering herself into it.

Thinking about Fu Jinyin’s dark purple tentacles coated in mucus, Liu Qiu’s stomach twitched.

“Blub.”

A small bubble rose to the water’s surface.

Liu Qiu felt dizzy just looking at it.

After an entire night, it still hadn’t fully closed.

When exactly had Fu Jinyin finally stopped?

She shouldn’t have softened her heart.

After soaking for a long time, Liu Qiu climbed out of the tub.

Water droplets slid down her skin, tracing the countless marks across her body.

Standing under the shower, she began washing away the sticky residue.

She didn’t question the system about why it had failed to detect a monster.

Based on what Fu Jinyin had said before, she was likely the product of human experimentation.

Someone needed to investigate this.

If it truly was human experimentation, the place responsible deserved destruction.

Just looking at the scars covering Fu Jinyin’s body made Liu Qiu’s heart ache.

There had to be more victims like her.

But who could she ask?

That question stumped Liu Qiu.

She didn’t know many people, and considering both trust and ability, only Duan Fan qualified.

She wouldn’t go to Duan Liming.

Liu Yaoming wanted her to marry Duan Liming, which meant Duan Liming definitely knew about it.

The Duan family was even more powerful than the Liu family.

If Duan Liming didn’t agree, Liu Yaoming wouldn’t have approached her.

So Duan Liming must also approve of this arrangement—even though she had once said she wouldn’t mention having children again.

Duan Liming was not an option.

Chaoyue hadn’t replied to her messages either, probably because she didn’t want to stay in contact.

So Chaoyue was out as well.

The people from the modeling company or the Liu family were even less trustworthy.

Which meant she could only go to Duan Fan and probe indirectly.
