Chapter 140: Don’t hate me

[System, I feel really hot.]
Liu Qiu exhaled a heated breath, staring at the dazzling lights, her vision beginning to blur.

The system scanned her body and detected an abnormal substance.
[Host, you’ve been drugged with an aphrodisiac.]

Liu Qiu: […] Not possible, right? I only drank some mineral water.
She had watched Song San take it from the waiter, open it in front of her, and pour it into the glass—there was no chance to tamper with it.

Even though Liu Qiu didn’t want to believe she had been unknowingly drugged, the heat in her body didn’t lie.
[System, did I ingest a lot? I feel so hot.]
It wasn’t just heat—there was a growing itch in her lower abdomen.

The system replied: [Not much, but your resistance to this kind of drug is very low, so the effect is amplified. If you can hold on, go back and take a cold shower.]

Liu Qiu tugged at her collar, her cheeks flushed red.
[I can still hold on. I’ll wait for the driver to pick me up.]

Song San slowly made her way back to Liu Qiu, her expression extremely ingratiating.
“Miss Liu~” Just those two words carried a hundred different tones.

Liu Qiu cut off her conversation with the system and glanced at her, clearly displeased.
“Song San, what do you want?”

Song San swallowed nervously. It seemed Liu Qiu wasn’t planning to settle accounts… or maybe she wasn’t clear-headed right now.

Compared to being punished later, Song San chose to confess immediately.
“Miss Liu, I’m really sorry about earlier.”

“The glass I used had aphrodisiac in it. I didn’t mean to.” Her face twisted like a bitter gourd.

Liu Qiu: …So it really was Song San.

But since Song San admitted it so quickly, Liu Qiu didn’t intend to pursue it. She was only playing the role of a spoiled rich girl—she wasn’t actually one.

More importantly, she wanted to cut ties with these people, not deepen them through conflict.

So she pinched the bridge of her nose impatiently.
“Song San.”

Song San tensed, bracing herself for a scolding.

But Liu Qiu only said briefly, “Forget it this time. Stay here and wait with me until my driver arrives.”

Song San froze. She… wasn’t scolded?!

Looking closer, she saw Liu Qiu’s face and even her neck had turned red—the drug had clearly taken full effect.

No wonder she didn’t lash out.

Song San took a deep breath and said loudly, “Don’t worry, Miss Liu! I’ll stay right here with you!”

Liu Qiu gave her a complicated look. According to the original host’s memories, these lackeys were flattering on the surface but secretly looked down on her, thinking her family was just nouveau riche with no real pedigree.

But after interacting with them, Liu Qiu didn’t feel looked down upon—just that they were… a bit simple.

Or maybe they were just very good at acting.

She didn’t think further. Waves of heat surged through her body, rushing to her head.

“I’m so hot…” Her voice turned hoarse and sticky.

Song San looked at her flushed face and inexplicably felt her own face heat up. Just how much did Zhao Cheng put in that drink?

Liu Qiu gripped the wheelchair armrest tightly, leaning back in discomfort, her head tilted slightly as she breathed rapidly. She slowly handed her phone to Song San.

“If someone… calls… tell them my location.”

Her driver should arrive soon.

She could use AI to leave, but soon she might lose consciousness—that would be dangerous. Waiting here was the safest option.

“I’ll… rest for a bit.”

The strange sensation in her lower abdomen intensified. Her fingers clenched.

This drug was too effective.

She wasn’t someone who craved that kind of thing—but right now, she desperately wished someone would help her.

[System, shock me.]
She needed pain to stay conscious.

[Understood.]

But the moment the electric current surged through her body, Liu Qiu arched sharply, tears welling in her eyes.
[Enough—stop, System!]

The current didn’t clear her mind—it only mixed with the itch and numbness, making her even more disoriented.

Song San was startled by her reaction. Just as she was about to speak, the phone in her hand vibrated.

She quickly picked up. “Chi Li? Must be the driver.”

She answered immediately. “Driver, right? Hurry and come pick up Liu Qiu!”

No response.

Song San frowned and turned to Liu Qiu. “Miss Liu—”

But Liu Qiu couldn’t hear clearly. The music was too loud, her head too hot.

Tears dampened the corners of her eyes and lashes as she murmured, “Song San… I’m so… hot…”

Song San couldn’t hear the words, only saw her lips parting and closing, breathing heavily.

Her fingers unconsciously tightened. Looking up, she saw Liu Qiu’s misty eyes, flushed corners, and dazed expression—under the colorful lights, it was dangerously alluring.

Song San had never thought of Liu Qiu that way before.

But now…

“Miss Liu, what did you say?”
She bent down, drawing closer, catching a faint fragrance from Liu Qiu.

Liu Qiu’s hazy gaze focused on the unfamiliar figure approaching. She instinctively raised her hand and pushed against the person’s face.

“Song San… don’t get so close.”

Her hand was soft—delicately pampered.

Song San’s breathing quickened. Maybe… she could help Liu Qiu.

But that thought ended the moment the door burst open.

A silver-haired woman in a simple T-shirt and pants rushed in, followed by a woman in a suit.

Song San didn’t recognize the silver-haired woman, but she recognized the suited one—Liu Qiu’s driver.

She straightened up, feeling oddly guilty.

Chi Li scanned the room and immediately found Liu Qiu.

She rushed over, pushing aside anyone in the way, clearly anxious. Liu Qiu’s state was abnormal, yet there was no smell of alcohol.

Song San cursed under her breath. “Who are you? So rude!”

The silver-haired woman didn’t even glance at her.

“Damn, can’t you understand—”

The driver stepped forward calmly.
“Miss, hello. I am Miss Liu’s personal driver. That person is someone Miss Liu knows. Please don’t mind.”

Song San waved it off. “Forget it. Just take her away. And give her a cold shower.”

The driver immediately understood what had happened.

Rich kids played wild—she already knew that.

She nodded and turned back.

“Miss Chi, let’s take Miss Liu away.”

Chi Li nodded and pushed the wheelchair out quickly.

Outside, the night breeze cooled Liu Qiu slightly.

Through her blurred vision, she saw a familiar face.

“Zhao… Zhao Duo… you came to pick me up…”

Chi Li paused, then silently picked Liu Qiu up and placed her into the car.

The driver stowed the wheelchair and got in.
“Is Miss still conscious?”

Liu Qiu slumped, about to fall sideways. Chi Li quickly pulled her closer.

Liu Qiu leaned softly against her shoulder.
“Together… I… together…”

Her speech was slurred, but the driver understood.

The car started moving.

Chi Li sat stiffly as Liu Qiu’s hot, damp breaths brushed her neck.

She didn’t mind being treated as someone else.

As long as Liu Qiu liked her.

“So hot…”

The hoarse whisper made Chi Li’s already racing heart pound even faster.

Too close.

She closed her eyes, waiting for the destination.

Liu Qiu’s mind was hazy, her body burning. The itch below only worsened.

She grabbed Chi Li’s collar.
“Zhao Duo… why won’t you look at me…”

“It’s been… so long…”

Chi Li wanted to say she wasn’t Zhao Duo—but Liu Qiu clearly depended on that person.

And she couldn’t speak anyway.

The driver quietly raised the partition.

Liu Qiu curled her toes, overwhelmed.
“Zhao Duo… help me… I feel awful…”

[Host! Wake up!] the system shouted.

But Liu Qiu had lost awareness, acting purely on instinct.

Chi Li froze as Liu Qiu guided her hand somewhere she shouldn’t touch.

The wet sensation startled her. She yanked her hand back, face burning red.

She wasn’t ready. This might hurt Liu Qiu.

But seeing Liu Qiu’s condition…

“Zhao Duo… you won’t help me?”

Chi Li shook her head desperately.

Liu Qiu tugged at her clothes, breathing faster.
“So hot… so uncomfortable…”

Chi Li panicked, quickly texting Wang Tiantian.

The reply came fast—with a link.

“Learn it yourself. Serve her well. She’s your patron.”

Chi Li opened it, her face turning redder with every second.

Then she looked at Liu Qiu.

Slowly, she knelt.

She had to… do it like this…

Her heart pounded violently.

…

Later—

“Zhao Duo… why are you doing this…” Liu Qiu’s voice was fragmented.

Chi Li stayed silent, moving carefully, afraid of hurting her.

“No—don’t—”
Liu Qiu gripped her tightly, her mind completely overwhelmed.

“Help me…”

Chi Li complied, trembling.

…

Time passed.

Eventually, Liu Qiu regained clarity, her voice hoarse.
“Enough… Chi Li.”

Chi Li froze.

Liu Qiu was awake.

Realizing she wasn’t Zhao Duo, would she hate her?

Chi Li slowly moved away, kneeling on the bed, eyes swollen and red.

Liu Qiu pressed her temples, then glanced at Chi Li—pathetic and pitiful.

Damn it… how did things end up like this?

Chi Li was only eighteen.

She sighed.

“Chi Li, go sleep in the other room.”

Chi Li gestured anxiously: Don’t hate me.

Liu Qiu didn’t understand—and didn’t want to think.

She just needed a shower.

Before closing the bathroom door, she said,
“I’ll compensate you.”

[Looks like ten million isn’t enough.]

[Does she think giving her body gets her more?]

[…]

Inside the bathroom, Liu Qiu dropped her cold expression, frowning.

[System… I’ve become a pervert.]

She remembered enough.

She mistook Chi Li for Zhao Duo. She begged, pulled her hand…

Chi Li probably learned this somewhere, thinking it would please her.

Or maybe… it was because she was the patron.

She wasn’t naive anymore.

If it were Shen Yiwan, she wouldn’t feel this troubled.

But Chi Li…

What now…

The system comforted her:
[Host, it’s fine. You’re not married in this world.]

[And Chi Li looks like your friend—doing things with someone familiar might even feel better.]

That only made it worse.

She had called Chi Li “Zhao Duo” the whole time.

No wonder she cried so hard.

When Liu Qiu left earlier, Chi Li’s eyes were swollen shut.
