Join the ServerXiamiya awoke to find herself lying in her familiar bed. Warm sunlight streamed through a gap in the curtains, casting a gentle glow upon her face.
She slowly opened her eyes, noticing she had been changed into a new pink nightgown. The soft fabric caressed her skin, offering a comforting sensation.
‘Enmm,’
‘Did Youka change my clothes again?’
At this thought, a faint blush crept onto Xiamiya’s cheeks.
However,
The Demonic Goddess seemed to have little time to dwell on such matters. Her hand instinctively drifted to her stomach, where she felt a subtle protrusion.
Evidently,
A new Star God’s Egg had successfully formed within her.
“Uhm… it seems the conception was successful.”
Xiamiya murmured, a sigh escaping her lips.
There was not a shred of joy in her contemplative words.
“Are you unhappy, Master? In the human world, conceiving a new child is considered a joyous occasion worth celebrating.”
Youka, who had been standing by the bed for some time, spoke softly.
Hearing this,
The Demonic Goddess frowned, her gaze turning to Youka with a complex mix of emotions.
‘Damn it!’
‘Another god-slaying entity in my belly!’
‘How could I possibly be happy about this?!’
‘If I hadn’t lost that bet, I wouldn’t have wanted to conceive another one!’
Naturally, Xiamiya kept these internal complaints to herself.
“Ah, hehe…”
The young woman could only respond with a few cold laughs.
“But, Youka, can you stop using terms like ‘conceiving’ or ‘getting pregnant’? We’re merely creating a Star God’s Egg within my body, alright? It’s not like I’m actually giving birth to a child!”
She was still an unmarried maiden, after all!
‘Pregnant with what…’
Clearly, Xiamiya was rather displeased with Youka’s choice of words, pouting her lips as she grumbled with a touch of resentment.
Moreover,
Speaking of conceiving a Star God’s Egg, Xiamiya’s mind abruptly recalled the indescribable moments of the previous night. A deep flush of displeasure spread across her pretty face. Her brows furrowed, and the Demonic Goddess glared fiercely at Youka, her eyes filled with an accusing question.
“Oh, right, Youka! What exactly happened last night?!”
“Last night?”
“Yes, last night!”
As she spoke, Xiamiya angrily raised her hand, pointing at Youka’s face.
“The previous three times I created a Star God’s Egg, it was agonizingly painful. Why, then, did I feel such a strange sensation last night? You, you villain, did you modify my body without my permission again?!”
Considering Youka’s history of similar actions,
Xiamiya’s suspicion was entirely understandable.
On the other side,
Faced with her master’s interrogation, Youka did not attempt to conceal anything. Instead, she responded with her usual impassive expression, posing a counter-question:
“Was it not good, Master?”
“Huh?”
“It used to be painful, but last night, Master should have felt quite comfortable, shouldn’t you?”
“Eh?”
Hearing this, Xiamiya was momentarily stunned, then quickly shook her head in denial.
“What nonsense are you spouting? How could it possibly have been comfortable?!”
“Is that so?”
Youka tilted her head, a hint of confusion in her tone.
“If it wasn’t comfortable, Master, why did you ‘spray’ four times in a row last night? The amount was so substantial that not only were the bedsheets soaked, but I even got some on my face.”
“Eh?!”
At these words,
The Demonic Goddess’s face instantly turned scarlet. As the memories of last night replayed in her mind like a slideshow, Xiamiya’s heart pounded furiously, shame and embarrassment flooding her. Her hands instinctively gripped the bedsheets, attempting to hide her inner turmoil.
“Youka!”
Xiamiya glared at Youka, her voice trembling with bashfulness.
“Last night, that… that was all a misunderstanding!”
“A misunderstanding? I don’t think so. Last night, Master, you cried out so…”
“Alright, alright, alright, alright! I said stop talking about it!”
Xiamiya’s voice was agitated, her cheeks flushed like ripe apples, her eyes filled with obvious shyness and reproach. She tried to make her tone sound resolute, hoping to mask her inner wavering and unease.
“Forget what happened last night! Forget it! Don’t ever bring it up again…”
Emphasizing her point,
Xiamiya scrambled from the bed to Youka’s front, staring at her pitifully. Given that everything that happened last night was an undeniable fact, the Demonic Goddess, unable to refute, could only forcefully end the topic in this manner.
Seeing this,
Youka remained silent for a moment before nodding, deciding to comply with Xiamiya’s wishes.
“Understood.”
However,
As if something had just occurred to her, Youka quietly posed a follow-up question.
“Then, the next time a Demonic God’s Egg is conceived, if Master still wishes for the same experience as last night…”
However,
Before Youka could finish, Xiamiya let out a resolute roar.
“No! Absolutely not! I’d rather die of pain than ever experience that again…”
Yet,
The roar, initially full of momentum, inexplicably faded into a whimper towards the end.
Observing the rosy-faced, gritting-toothed Demonic Goddess, a faint, almost imperceptible smile touched Youka’s lips.
Of course,
Youka quickly reverted to her usual indifferent expression and respectfully lowered her head.
“Understood, Master.”
****
“Oh, right, Youka.”
“Yes, Master?”
“Last night, my… my bedsheets and nightgown, did you…”
“They were destroyed, Master.”
“Oh, good. *Hmph*… wait… why aren’t you looking into my eyes when you answer?”
“Please don’t mind such details, my dear Master.”
****
After a bout of commotion, the Demonic Goddess, her emotions finally settled, leaned back against the headboard, utterly exhausted.
“Oh, there’s one more thing I’m quite curious about.”
Xiamiya suddenly spoke, gazing at the familiar ceiling.
“Hmm?”
Hearing this,
Youka, who was tidying the room, slowly turned her head to look at Xiamiya.
“Please tell me, Master.”
“After I fainted last night, I seemed to have a dream.”
“A dream?”
“Yes. Usually, after a Star God’s Egg forms within me, don’t I always fall into a deep coma? Logically, one shouldn’t dream during a deep coma. But last night, I dreamt of a strange palace…”
****
Xiamiya quickly recounted everything she had seen and heard in her dream to Youka. This included the unknown palace, the strange statues, the friendly small animals, and the little loli who had suddenly bitten her. Even though it was just a dream, Xiamiya inexplicably felt a sense of familiarity with the scenes.
After relaying all the details,
The Demonic Goddess asked, a bit puzzled, “Hey, Youka, what do you think? Dreaming of these things all of a sudden? Is it some kind of past life memory, or a precognitive dream?”
“Past life? Future?”
At this, the Doll-like Maiden paused, a peculiar glint flashing in her silver eyes. Then, her gaze turned to Xiamiya, imbued with a touch of sympathy.
“Master, a dream is just a dream. It has no connection to predicting the future or past lives; it’s merely your brain running wild.”
“Eh? Is that so?”
“Yes. I suggest you spend more time studying magical theory. Stop reading those novels; they’ll lead you astray.”
“Uhm…”
“Then I shall take my leave, Master. I have many things to attend to today.”
****
And so, after a simple bow and farewell, Youka left Xiamiya’s room, allowing her Demonic Goddess to rest peacefully alone. However, after leaving Xiamiya’s room, Youka did not immediately go to the kitchen. Instead, she leaned thoughtfully against the grand doors of the bedchamber.
‘So that’s how it is,’
‘No wonder the Star God’s Egg was constructed without my guidance last night.’
‘Heh,’
‘She hardly seems like a Demonic Goddess at all,’
‘Yet she accomplished something most Demonic Goddess candidates couldn’t. Truly impressive, Master.’
‘However…’
‘A magnificent palace,’
‘And amiable small animals?’
Recalling Xiamiya’s description of the dream, Youka closed her eyes meaningfully.
“So, that place, in your eyes, appears like that?”
‘Heh,’
‘Interesting.’
