The year 1025 of the Star-Moon Calendar. Central Continent – Weslo.
Boom!!
Under the night sky, amidst the smoke-shrouded city and accompanied by an earth-shattering roar, a Holy Energy Sword, coalesced from golden divine light, suddenly erupted from the ground.
It tore through the dark firmament like a sacred bolt of lightning. The sword’s blade radiated a dazzling golden glow, piercing through the zenith of the City of Abyssal Sin with a thunderous impact.
Its path became a corridor of light, brilliant and resplendent.
The Holy Sword’s residual energy, propelled by surging waves, swept forth like a stampede of a thousand armies. It effortlessly shattered the surrounding city into fragments, a force so overwhelming it reduced everything to dust.
The deafening roar echoed through the night sky, reminiscent of a god’s furious bellow.
The sword’s light soared high, piercing the clouds, and violently struck the shadowy figure radiating malevolent energy in the sky above!
The next moment, the golden Holy Light Sword struck the abdomen of the pitch-black monster.
It carried the creature through the clouds, driving it relentlessly towards the heavens.
AWOOOOOHHHH!
The monster let out a ghastly, soul-shaking roar, marshalling all its strength to resist the golden Holy Sword’s purification.
Alas, after days of relentless battle, the dark monster had completely exhausted its power.
Ultimately, the pitch-black chaotic energy surrounding its body was utterly disintegrated by the golden light.
Without the protection of chaotic energy, its body appeared incredibly small and slender.
It was powerless to resist an attack forged from the faith of a million souls.
In the very next instant, under the excited gaze of countless onlookers, the golden Holy Sword pierced straight through the monster’s body!
Boom!!!
A sudden, violent explosion erupted, unleashing a torrent of scorching flames and dazzling golden light. Golden sparks bloomed in the air, forming a magnificent flower of fire.
A wave of intense heat surged outwards, dispelling the surrounding darkness.
In that moment, the night was enveloped by brilliant light.
A colossal shockwave expanded from the explosion’s epicenter, scattering miles of dark clouds. The terrifying surge of energy utterly annihilated the black monster’s body, reducing it to nothing.
Finally, it transformed into a myriad of dark particles, dissipating into the wind.

Witnessing this scene, and having confirmed multiple times that the Sin Lord’s aura had vanished, a black-haired man amidst the rubble below finally collapsed, kneeling on the ground.
Though his body had reached its absolute limit, the joy in his eyes was utterly inexpressible.
‘Finally, finally… we succeeded,’ he murmured. ‘My Lady Goddess, I have not failed you.’
Xing Lian, a Holy Sword Wielder and the savior hero of the human world, slowly rose from the ground, enduring immense pain.
Then, Xing Lian raised the Holy Sword high, excitedly looking towards their comrades who still stood amidst the ruins behind them.
‘The Sin Lord is dead! We… we… we succeeded!!!’
His words, amplified by holy power, instantly reached the ears of every member of the Savior Squad. They also resonated with the allied forces still fiercely battling outside the city walls.
Xing Lian’s voice spread across the battlefield like thunder.
In that moment, a heavy weariness settled upon every member of the savior team. Yet, their faces were alight with expressions of profound joy and immense relief.
Those who still had strength embraced one another, tears of exhilaration streaming down every face.
They had endured countless hardships and made innumerable sacrifices. Finally, they had vanquished the Sin Lord, finally bringing peace to this scarred and ravaged world!
****
The excitement was not confined to the hero squad alone. Upon hearing the triumphant shout, the outer armies disregarded the stunned Cursed Soul Army soldiers before them.
A wave of cheers erupted across the battlefield. Soldiers tore off their helmets, brandished their weapons, and celebrated the hard-won victory.
Battle standards fluttered fiercely in the wind, as if cheering for their triumph. The entire battlefield was permeated with an atmosphere of jubilation, as everyone felt an unprecedented sense of ease and liberation.

Meanwhile, on another battlefield, at Crescent Lake just outside the City of Abyssal Sin, dozens of assembled masters also revealed expressions of excitement and elation upon hearing Xing Lian’s shout.
Lolotie, the Archmage, who stood at the forefront of the group, surrounded by five high-tier staffs, cast an encouraging glance towards the other Heavenly Realm Archmages and top-tier Holy Knights on the battlefield.
‘Xing Lian has dealt with the Sin Lord,’ she announced. ‘Once we take care of this fellow, the war will finally be over.’
As she spoke, the young, red-haired Archmage fixed her gaze on the silver-haired adjutant not far away. She was currently suppressed within a barrier, piloting a colossal war golem, the Sin Lord’s adjutant.
‘Youka… today, it’s time to settle your sins!’
The Sin Lord’s army was formidable, powerful enough to ravage three continents, primarily because the Cursed Soul Army had received the Sin Lord’s power.
This abominably evil force had granted the Cursed Soul soldiers an unprecedented boost in combat capabilities. However, once the Sin Lord died, this power would be stripped away, and the Cursed Soul Army’s strength would drastically decline.
The Cursed Soul Army’s immediate retreat on the eastern battlefield perfectly validated her hypothesis. The Sin Lord’s adjutant, Youka, would undoubtedly suffer the same fate.
‘Thank you, Xing Lian!’
After directing a grateful glance towards the distant City of Abyssal Sin, Lolotie spearheaded the charge. Aided by crimson magic, she streaked towards the silver-haired adjutant like a meteor, as scarlet-golden holy fire rapidly coalesced at the tip of her staff.
Not only Lolotie, but several other top masters initiated their attacks simultaneously. Coordinating with Lolotie, they assaulted the silver-haired adjutant from all directions.
Their objective was clear: to swiftly eliminate this final threat from the Sin Lord’s army. They aimed to dispatch this terrifying entity, who was no weaker than the Sin Lord herself.
‘Now, let us finish this!’
Lolotie’s eyes narrowed sharply as she, wreathed in holy fire, instantly closed the distance to the silver-haired adjutant. The holy fire condensed, empowering her staff and transforming it into a divine sword capable of cleaving all evil.
Slicing through space, the Holy Fire Sword descended with the force of a thunderbolt, aiming for the silver-haired adjutant’s head…
However, facing this imminent, powerful strike, the silver-haired adjutant did not engage in a desperate last stand, as Lolotie and the others had anticipated.
Instead, she remained utterly expressionless, gazing thoughtfully towards the direction of the Sin Lord’s demise.
In her silver eyes, there was no sorrow, no anger; she seemed to have long grown accustomed to such events.
Her gaze was utterly serene.
This very calmness, however, incensed Lolotie, causing flames of fury to ignite in her eyes. A chilling, murderous intent continuously spilled from her gaze.
‘You… you monster!’
‘That look again?!! That indifferent expression again?!!’
As a victim of the Sin Lord’s army’s rampant conquest, Lolotie was intimately aware of the adjutant’s transgressions. In the past, with the rapid expansion of the Sin Lord’s influence, the warriors and resistors who died by her hand likely exceeded a hundred thousand!
The civilians who perished due to her orders were countless. She was nothing short of a blood-stained executioner, a heinous sinner beyond redemption!
Unlike the Sin Lord’s Four Heavenly Kings, who killed to sate their bloodlust, this adjutant primarily acted on the Sin Lord’s directives, killing only when commanded.
She existed purely as a tool, to the extent that many generals within the Empire doubted if she possessed any emotions at all.
However, whether the adjutant possessed emotions was irrelevant to Lolotie. The sheer disregard for life in her silver eyes, her indifferent attitude towards slaughtering living beings, was something Lolotie could never accept!
What was more, her own hometown, the Water Capital, had been destroyed by the Sin Lord’s army under Youka’s command. Regardless, this adjutant was her sworn, irreconcilable enemy!
Killing her was Lolotie’s sole reason for joining the allied forces.
****
‘If nothing matters to you, then just die!!!’
As her words escaped, the Flame Holy Sword slashed down instantly!
CRACK!!
In the next instant, the Holy Fire Sword sliced through the adjutant’s neck. The head of the Sin Lord’s adjutant, who had forced them into days of bitter struggle, was thus… severed from her body, surrounded by a spray of blood.
The colossal golem she controlled instantly crumbled into ruin beneath her, becoming a pile of debris.
‘It worked?! It… it actually worked?!’
Lolotie, seemingly astonished by the effortless success of her attack, even showed a flicker of disbelief in her eyes after securing the kill.
Upon confirming that she had indeed severed Youka’s head, Lolotie wept tears of joy.
Her entire body trembled with exhilaration.
‘This is… this is great! Finally, finally, we succeeded!’
‘As expected, after the Sin Lord’s death, all subordinates who gained her power would lose it! Elders, I… I have finally avenged you!’
Naturally, Lolotie was not the only one overcome with excitement. Her nearby comrades, witnessing the scene, first froze in disbelief before erupting into cheers no less fervent than those in the City of Abyssal Sin!
After all, with Youka’s fall, this holy war could finally draw to a triumphant close.
****
However, as everyone indulged in celebration, no one noticed that the silver-haired adjutant’s severed head had not been incinerated by Lolotie’s holy fire.
Even after being decapitated, the silver-haired adjutant’s gaze remained fixed on the empty night sky where the Sin Lord had fallen.
‘It seems I failed again,’ Youka whispered calmly, her tone devoid of sorrow, anger, or any discernible emotion.
‘Since the Evil God’s qualified one is dead… Master, by our pact, let all these fools accompany you in death.’
The next moment, Youka slowly closed her eyes. An ineffable, vast, and terrifying power immediately broke free from the restrictive shackles imposed by the Sin Lord, surging uncontrollably from the depths of her soul.
It rapidly converged towards her core, a power seemingly born from the abyss’s darkness, steeped in an aura of destruction. As this power surged, the very air seemed to congeal.
