Chapter 1: The System’s Arrival and an Unexpected Transformation

The night was deep. In the most prestigious semi-mountain villa district of Haishi, on the second floor of the Luo family’s main house, a bedroom’s lights had long been extinguished.

Moonlight filtered through the sheer curtains of the floor-to-ceiling window, casting hazy pools of light onto a wide bed.

The boy lying in the bed was sleeping soundly. His skin was fair, his build slender, and in his sleep, the corners of his mouth tilted upward as he murmured indistinctly, “White… long hair… so beautiful…”

As he sank deep into slumber, a blue light quietly flickered to life in his sea of consciousness.

The light gradually coalesced into a human silhouette—a woman in a simple blue dress stood suspended in the void.

Her hair was white as snow, cascading to her waist, gently floating in the windless space. She looked down at the sleeping boy, a playful smile gracing her delicate features.

“So this is the new host?” she murmured, her voice like ice beads falling on a jade plate. “The foundation is not bad… such skin, such bone structure. Tsk, tsk, she’d be adorable as a girl.”

As her words fell, the boy’s dream underwent a sudden transformation.

In a space of pure white, the woman in the white dress and white hair stood gracefully. The boy, Luo Xiaoyun, stared blankly at this sudden apparition, momentarily forgetting it was a dream.

“You…” he began.

The woman smiled radiantly, her crimson eyes curving into crescent moons. “Do you think Big Sister is pretty?”

Luo Xiaoyun nodded instinctively. “Yeah…”

“Then, do you like Big Sister?”

“Yes.”

Her smile deepened, tinged with slyness. “Would you like Big Sister to stay with you forever?”

“Yes.”

“You said it,” she said with a light laugh, her form beginning to dissipate like smoke. “No take-backs.”

The dream shattered.

In reality, Luo Xiaoyun’s body was undergoing an inconceivable transformation. Strands of silver-white hair grew from his roots, spreading across the pillow like silk woven from moonlight.

His bones emitted faint creaks as his frame visibly slimmed and shrank. Beneath his pajamas, a gentle curve rose at his chest, his waist narrowed, and his skin became ever more delicate and translucent…

The next morning.

When sunlight flooded the room, Luo Xiaoyun was jolted awake by a crisp chime in his mind.

“Ding! Perfect Beauty Girl Cultivation System successfully bound!”

‘What was that sound…’ He—or rather, she—sat up groggily, a cascade of silver hair flowing down like a waterfall, sliding over her shoulders and settling on her chest.

Wait, chest? Luo Xiaoyun abruptly looked down and saw an inexplicable curve at the collar of her pajamas. Stiffly, she reached up and touched it. The soft sensation instantly petrified her.

“Th-this is…”

A translucent blue screen materialized before her eyes, clearly displaying several lines:

Luo Xiaoyun stared blankly at the panel, her mind struggling to catch up.

‘System… Cheat device?’ she murmured, then her eyes lit up. ‘Am I about to reach the peak of life?’

But in the next second, after carefully reading the panel’s content, her expression drastically changed.

“Female?! Why female?!” She almost jumped out of bed, but nearly fell due to the shift in her center of gravity. “And this height—I was 170 cm! Why did I shrink?! And what the hell is this evaluation?! Easy to push over?!”

She staggered into the bathroom, habitually undoing her pajama pants—

“I… my…”

Silence. Deadly silence.

Then,

“Where’s my big dragon?! Where did my huge dragon go?!” An almost hysterical roar echoed in the bathroom.

Luo Xiaoyun jerked her head up to look in the mirror, then froze.

The girl in the mirror had long hair that flowed like a river of moonlight, pure white, the ends shimmering with a pearlescent glow in the morning light.

Her small, palm-sized face was porcelain-white and translucent. Long lashes like butterfly wings framed eyes wide with shock that now reflected an incredulous light.

A delicate nose and cherry-colored lips completed the look—like the most expensive doll in a shop window.

If not for the furious expression that looked about to cry, this was undeniably a face that could captivate at first sight.

“So, how do you like your new look?” A familiar, amused female voice sounded in her mind. “This is our system company’s latest generation ‘Perfect Loli Transformation Technology,’ the highest-rated creation ever.”

“Like your head!” Luo Xiaoyun roared at the air. “Give me my body back! Who wants to be some loli!”

“No can do, Host,” the voice replied cheerfully. “Last night, you personally agreed. It’s too late to back out now~ I’m going to train you well and make you the world’s most perfect girl!”

“I never agreed! This is fraud! I want to complain! Unbind!”

“Once bound, this system offers no refunds.”

Luo Xiaoyun trembled with rage, a string of unprintable words pouring from her lips.

Then she regretted it.

A jolt of electric-like pain shot through her body. Her legs gave way, and she nearly fell to her knees.

“Host, please watch your language,” the system said, still with a smile but now with a hint of warning. “You’re a sweet, soft girl now. Cursing is not nice. Also, don’t curse this system. That was a minor punishment. Next time… you know.”

“You…” Luo Xiaoyun ground her teeth but dared not curse again.

Just then, a knock came at the door.

“Xiaoyun? Are you awake?” A clear male voice called from outside. “Mom and Dad want you to come downstairs for breakfast.”

It was her second brother, Luo Jingming.

Luo Xiaoyun’s heart tightened. How could she face anyone like this?

The Luo family was the head of Haishi’s three major conglomerates.

Though not as deeply rooted as the centuries-old houses in the capital, their presence in China’s business world was formidable—when they stomped, the ground shook three times, and their group’s market value firmly ranked in the national top ten.

The family was currently helmed by Patriarch Luo Qingchuan, who had one son and one daughter: the eldest son, Luo Junhe, Luo Xiaoyun’s father, and the second daughter, Luo Yutang, her famously business-savvy aunt.

In Luo Xiaoyun’s generation, the eldest son, Luo Jingchen, had already entered the core of the Luo Group.

The second brother, Luo Jingming, attend Haishi University alongside Xiaoyun, though Xiaoyun had just started university while Luo Jingming was in his junior year and would be interning next year.

Her Aunt Luo Yutang also had a son, Luo Shiheng, who managed her aunt’s personal business empire. As for Luo Xiaoyun herself, she was the youngest son of the Luo family, just starting university.

At least, that was the case up till yesterday.

“Xiaoyun?” Luo Jingming knocked again. “You okay?”

Luo Xiaoyun stared at the completely unfamiliar girl in the mirror, wanting to cry but having no tears.

How was she supposed to explain this—your son turned into a daughter overnight?
