Join the ServerNot long after Bai Yuan left, Mo Xiao opened her drowsy eyes.
She couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off. Last night she’d had a nightmare—she dreamed she was being beaten up by that little thing You.
How infuriating! With those tiny arms and legs of hers, she could beat Mo Xiao up?
A flicker of firelight rose in her golden vertical pupils as Mo Xiao fully woke from her recollection.
But then she felt a soft touch at her lips. She focused her gaze, and her pupils abruptly contracted.
In her trembling vertical pupils, she slowly released her small hand, her body sneakily trying to slide off of You.
“Where do you think you’re going? The little book spirit is quite the pervert.”
A cool, clear voice suddenly rang out. Mo Xiao’s gaze met You’s opened purple eyes, and a flicker of guilt crossed her face.
“Lousy fish! Look clearly for yourself—who’s hugging who? You’re the one who forced it.”
Mo Xiao’s first thought was that she’d been the one clinging to You last night and pressed her face over, which was why her lips had touched You’s little face.
But now, thinking back more carefully, she realized her slender waist was locked in place by one of You’s arms. She had no way to leave at all.
The second possibility was that she’d been pulled over by You, so she hadn’t deliberately kissed her.
“You found out, huh. Yeah, I was the one holding onto you and not letting go. The little dragon’s body is quite fragrant and soft.”
A faint blush appeared on You’s little face. She shouldn’t move around in her sleep, but last night there had indeed been an accident.
She’d woken up in the middle of the night to find the little dragon lying on top of her and had wanted to push her away, but the warm, soft touch and the faint fragrance coming from her body made her give up on that idea.
She’d felt quite comfortable, so she’d just held on and gone back to sleep.
“You! Let go of me, you pervert!”
Mo Xiao had wanted to probe a bit, but she hadn’t expected the other party to admit it directly. She felt like she’d fallen into a trap.
“Relax, I have no interest in your body whatsoever. It’s just comfortable to hold. Purely a body pillow.”
You reached out and smacked Mo Xiao’s little butt, then gently pushed her away.
In her mind, she thought about holding this one to sleep again tonight. It felt like she’d slept more soundly than before.
Mo Xiao left the sweet, warm blanket with a huff. Normally she was the dominant one, but she hadn’t expected to get played by You today.
She figured she’d also taken quite a bit of advantage of You, so she turned back to glare at You, then ran out with a bit of red at the tips of her ears.
“You! Want to come into the city with us today? You still have quite a few things to buy, right? Do you want to look for a job?”
Bai Yuan called out to You before heading out. Her classmate You was now completely broke, with nothing but bare walls at home.
“Not going. I have other things to do today.”
You sat at the dining table and shook her head in refusal.
“What could a friendless shut-in like you possibly have to do? If the little lousy fish doesn’t want to go, then clean the bathroom and the rooms for me. But don’t touch those things!”
Mo Xiao wasn’t going to spoil her. She wasn’t some young lady who could laze around all day doing nothing and just eat her master’s rice. That wouldn’t do.
Seeing You’s firm attitude, Bai Yuan didn’t try to persuade her further, but she’d already started considering hiring You as her household maid.
You wasn’t working outside now and had no money on her. It’d be better for her to just live with them.
As long as she worked, her household could probably afford to keep one little loli.
“Master, why don’t we just kick You out? This guy just eats and doesn’t work, and she has no intention of moving back to her own dorm. I think she’s plotting something against you.”
Mo Xiao had followed Bai Yuan out the door, though she’d put on some disguise.
“Don’t say that. Classmate You is my friend. She’s in a tough spot right now, so I can take care of her a bit more. If You is willing to be a maid, I can support her too.
Does Mo Xiao not like You? She’s so cute. She’s not very warm, but she’s a good person.”
Bai Yuan quite liked You herself. After all, she’d helped her a lot, and You was so cute too.
“Suit yourself, Master. I’m just a little book spirit.”
Mo Xiao still had to save face for her master in front of outsiders, so she didn’t speak too arrogantly to Bai Yuan.
As the two were about to walk out of the academy gates, they were stopped by three students.
They wore school uniforms with a student committee badge, their faces full of coldness, their eyes looking askance at the sky.
“Bai Yuan, correct? The Discipline Committee has complaints and reports concerning you.
For using excessive force in the secret realm and causing three students to be bedridden, the evidence is conclusive. The Student Committee has unanimously decided to revoke your qualification to enter the secret realm for the next two weeks. Here are the relevant documents.”
One male student stepped out from among the three and handed the documents to Bai Yuan. After finishing his piece, he turned and left without emotion.
These people didn’t care at all about the attitude of the party involved, Bai Yuan. To them, what they’d just issued was merely a notice, not a negotiation.
In the academy, they were the highest authority managing students. No one had ever dared refuse a punishment they issued.
Mo Xiao stood at Bai Yuan’s front-side position, taking in those students’ arrogant attitudes clearly.
Unilateral punishment really was quite impressive. A flicker of cold light passed through Mo Xiao’s eyes. They were just lackeys, yet they wouldn’t even look her master in the eye.
Mo Xiao had already memorized those people’s faces, as well as those three students from before.
She was a wicked dragon now. There was nothing she wouldn’t do.
And these people would all die in that attack sooner or later. She could kindly help them avoid that disaster!
“Master, let me see.”
Mo Xiao looked up and saw Bai Yuan holding the documents without speaking, her expression full of grievance, tears wobbling in her eyes.
“There’s nothing worth seeing. If they won’t let me in, then I won’t go. It’s not like I wanted to perform well at the Spirit Works Conference anyway.”
She sniffled and folded up the punishment documents and put them away.
She’d glanced roughly at the contents. Everything written was the one-sided account of those three students.
With both witness testimony and material evidence, and considering it a first offense, the punishment was only a two-week ban from the secret realm. This was the result of their mercy and leniency.
Bai Yuan felt so wronged reading it. When had she ever struck first? Those upperclassmen had clearly struck first.
Besides, Mo Xiao hadn’t even laid a hand on those upperclassmen. Where did their fractures come from?
The entire document was text pushing all the fault onto her.
“What’s worth seeing? Those Student Committee people are all idiots. Not a single one of them has a brain.”
Mo Xiao snatched the documents and with a slight exertion of her small hand, tore them.
With a ripping sound, the documents were torn in half, then into quarters.
This kind of thing had no real effect. It was only used to scare some honest students.
“Let’s go, Master. Take me to Will City to play. Don’t think too much about that stuff. Even if I can’t go to the secret realm, I can still beat them senseless.”
Mo Xiao tossed the documents into a nearby trash can and, taking Bai Yuan’s small hand, stepped out of the academy gates.
It was only because the location wasn’t right just now. Otherwise, she would have taken down that group of people right there. Their noses pointed at the sky—just looking at them was annoying.
They were just some student organization that helped teachers reduce their workload, yet they really thought of themselves as superior beings. Hilarious.
Mo Xiao hadn’t had much contact with these people in her previous life, but she had seen their death scenes and their cowardly behavior of bullying the weak and fearing the strong.
“Yeah! Mo Xiao, you’re right. With your potential, there’s no need to fear them at all.”
Bai Yuan clenched her free small hand, her gaze firm as she nodded in response. One day, her Mo Xiao would grow from a little dragon into a divine dragon. She didn’t need to fear anyone.
