“That’s not impossible… What time is it now? We still have plenty of time, right?”
Bai Yuan glanced at the sky, actually considering it seriously.
“I don’t want to stay in this kind of wilderness. It’s hot and humid—and look at how dirty your clothes are, stupid master.”
Mo Xiao rolled her eyes, pouting. The environment here was just awful.
Much better to go back to the dorm and stay close to her master. Staying here was basically feeding mosquitoes.
“You’re right, Mo Xiao. Let’s head out soon.”
Scratching the large mosquito bite on her arm, Bai Yuan also didn’t want to stay any longer.
They had come in too hastily this time—there were too many things they hadn’t prepared.
Mo Xiao nodded, turning into a swirl of black mist and slipping back into Bai Yuan’s body.
After checking the spiritual materials in her bag, Bai Yuan silently repeated “exit” three times in her mind.
Her small figure vanished from the silent forest, leaving behind only bloodstains on the cliff as evidence of the brutal battle that had just taken place.
The flowerless plant swayed gently in the wind, as if welcoming its next victim.
After passing through a dizzying passage, Bai Yuan appeared in a spacious room.
She steadied herself against the wall, scanning her surroundings.
This was the resting room outside the secret realm—but there were only a few people present.
Not seeing the disciplinary committee members from earlier, Bai Yuan let out a long breath of relief.
Once she recovered, she slowly walked out.
“Hey… did someone just walk past me?”
“I thought I saw a girl in a white dress too… or maybe not?”
“No way, was that a ghost? I must be too tired…”
Bai Yuan ignored the voices behind her.
She had heard things like that plenty of times before—by now, she barely cared.
To her surprise, she made it all the way back to her dorm without any trouble.
Looking at the damaged door in front of her, Bai Yuan tilted her head.
She remembered it being slightly broken before—but not this destroyed.
“Did I forget to lock it? That can’t be right…”
The twisted doorknob told her otherwise—someone had clearly forced their way in.
She glanced at the neighboring room. The door there was now closed—it seemed someone had moved in.
After a brief hesitation, she decided not to check for now. It wasn’t the right time yet.
Pushing open her door, she stepped inside.
The living room looked normal.
Without stopping, she headed to the bedroom—and sure enough, a familiar purple figure came into view.
“Why are you still in my house, You? Weren’t you moving? Are you done already?”
Bai Yuan asked in confusion.
Inside her inner world, Mo Xiao’s expression darkened.
Why does this person look like she plans to stay here long-term?
It gave her a strange, unpleasant feeling—like something she cared about was about to be taken away.
“There’s a reason… anyway, let me stay here for one more day. I ran into that person again today—we fought, so I haven’t moved yet.”
Sitting on the bed, You turned around and calmly made her request.
“Huh? Your injuries got worse again! Who keeps picking fights with you?”
Bai Yuan gasped, covering her mouth.
The bruises on You’s face had deepened—some that had faded before were now swollen again.
One of her eyes was even swollen shut. It made Bai Yuan feel a pang of concern.
“Hmph. She’s worse off than me. I broke both her legs this time—let’s see how she comes after me now.”
You puffed her cheeks, crossing her arms.
Even though she didn’t look great, she had the upper hand this time.
That old woman always aimed for her face—probably jealous of how pretty she was.
“How about… making peace? Getting hurt like this every day isn’t good.”
Bai Yuan hadn’t wanted to interfere at first, but now You was her friend. She couldn’t just watch this keep happening.
“Impossible. Even if the sky collapses, she’d never reconcile with me.”
You shook her head.
Reconciliation? Not in this lifetime.
“Can I at least hear what happened?”
Bai Yuan set her backpack down and asked curiously.
In her inner world, Mo Xiao smirked slightly—her master was finally starting to probe this suspicious person.
“There’s nothing to say. We just never got along since the beginning.”
You’s violet eyes dimmed slightly.
Then she added flatly:
“Since you didn’t refuse, I’ll stay here tonight.”
“Of course. Do you have spare clothes? You’ve been wearing that outfit for a while, haven’t you?”
Bai Yuan walked to her wardrobe. She was about to take a shower and change anyway.
“No. I’ll just wear yours—I don’t mind.”
You’s long purple hair spread across the bed.
Her divine body didn’t really get dirty—but her pajamas did need changing.
“Alright… these are some of my old clothes. They should fit you.”
Bai Yuan searched through her wardrobe and pulled out a smaller white outfit, along with stockings and other underlayers.
Her face flushed slightly as she handed them over.
Even though she hadn’t worn them in a while, giving someone her personal clothes still felt a bit embarrassing.
“I don’t need all that. Just the dress is fine.”
You picked out only the dress, leaving the rest.
Bai Yuan felt a tiny bit disappointed—but also slightly relieved.
“Well… it’s better to change those too. Those need to be washed regularly.”
Relaxing a bit, she still gave a gentle reminder.
Then suddenly—
She pressed her legs together slightly, her expression stiffening.
She had been holding it in for quite a while out in the wilderness.
Now she really couldn’t wait anymore.
“You go ahead and change in the room—I’ll take a shower first!”
Without waiting for a reply, Bai Yuan grabbed some clothes and rushed into the bathroom.
“Useless master, want me to help scrub your back?”
“No need! And close your eyes!”
Hearing Mo Xiao’s voice suddenly, Bai Yuan flushed bright red and immediately shut off the connection to her inner world.
She had almost forgotten there was still someone inside her body.
“That’s pointless—I’ve already seen everything anyway.”
Mo Xiao muttered boredly.
This time, though, Bai Yuan had completely blocked her out.
