“Hehe~ That’s it? That’s all? Master really is such a weakling~ hmph!”
Mo Xiao smugly wiggled her hips. Just three hits and Bai Yuan was already done—she had only just started to feel a tiny bit of something.
Smack!
“You’re asking for it! I—I already let you off, and your mouth is still this foul—fine, I’ll make you cry out!”
Bai Yuan’s face, already flushed with embarrassment, now turned red with anger. This little dragon was seriously too annoying.
“Mmph~ N-not much… didn’t feel a thing. Didn’t you eat properly, useless master?”
“If it didn’t hurt, then why were you making noises? And your ears are all red—you’re clearly just being stubborn.”
Bai Yuan was speechless. This girl was unbelievably stubborn—clearly reacting, yet still provoking her.
“Hmph! Who said I felt anything? With your strength, it’s like being brushed with feathers.”
Mo Xiao’s face was burning hot now, like it could set the blanket on fire.
Honestly, she’d rather Bai Yuan just keep hitting her than leave her hand resting there.
If Bai Yuan’s hand moved just a little higher… she might realize that Mo Xiao wasn’t wearing anything underneath.
She felt embarrassed and wanted to escape—but at the same time, the sensation was oddly stimulating. She didn’t want it to stop either.
But that didn’t make her weird. Definitely not.
At this point, Bai Yuan wasn’t in a hurry to hit her anymore.
She had already seen through Mo Xiao’s stubborn act.
And… the feeling under her hand was actually pretty nice. Soft, springy.
The little dragon’s skin was warm, but comfortable to touch. Out of curiosity, Bai Yuan gently squeezed—it was even softer than her own.
“Mmph~ Pervert! Pervert master, touching someone else like that—I’m not letting you hit me anymore!”
Mo Xiao suddenly realized something was off. Her silly master didn’t seem like she wanted to hit her anymore—she looked more like she wanted to keep touching.
That was dangerous. If this continued, Bai Yuan might discover the truth.
Then suddenly—
She felt the hand on her slowly moving upward.
“Pervert! Not allowed!”
With a shout, Mo Xiao turned into a wisp of black mist and dove straight back into Bai Yuan’s chest, fleeing in embarrassment.
“Huh? Why such a big reaction?”
Bai Yuan scratched her head in confusion. She hadn’t reacted this strongly when being hit—but now, just trying to help her relax a bit caused such a reaction?
What a hard-to-understand book spirit. Awkward personality, stubborn mouth.
“Pervert. I’ve truly seen Master’s perverted side now. From now on, I won’t call you ‘useless master’—I’ll call you ‘pervert master’ instead.”
Mo Xiao reappeared in her original form—a pitch-black little dragon hovering above an endless sea of ink.
On her forehead were a pair of small, delicate horns, smooth and rounded, no wider than three fingers.
Though black, they shimmered like jade—translucent enough that one could see the ink sea through them.
At their tips floated tiny, dreamy blue lights, like stars scattered across a night sky.
“I’m not! I was just trying to help you ease the pain. And you call me a pervert? Hmph!”
Bai Yuan snorted, annoyed. Her good intentions had been completely misunderstood.
“Really? You weren’t trying to touch me? Your hand didn’t even leave… felt pretty good, didn’t it? Hmph~”
Mo Xiao sank slightly into the ink sea, feeling a bit regretful.
It was rare for her master to show some kindness, and she had ruined it by running away out of embarrassment.
Going without anything underneath might feel exciting—but clearly not suitable for situations like that.
What a waste…
Bai Yuan ignored her and walked out of the room, looking for You.
It had been quite a while, yet there hadn’t been any sound from the kitchen. She was starting to worry.
You was so small—barely over 1.3 meters tall. The kitchen had plenty of dangerous things. What if something fell and knocked her out?
“You? …That’s strange, where did she go?”
Bai Yuan looked around the kitchen, but there was no sign of the purple-haired girl.
Mo Xiao popped her head out of the ink sea, her golden slit pupils briefly turning serious—before quickly becoming exasperated.
“Idiot. She’s in the living room.”
She had thought You was up to something—but it turned out her master had only been looking in the wrong place.
“Ah? Oh! You—I called you so many times, I thought you fainted in the kitchen.”
Bai Yuan hurried out and found You sitting in the living room.
“Mm. Sorry, I didn’t hear you.”
You turned her head calmly from the sofa, though she didn’t look apologetic at all.
“Honestly… I just wanted to ask if you want to bathe now. And where do you want to sleep tonight?”
Bai Yuan felt relieved seeing she was fine, though still slightly annoyed. These girls were all so troublesome.
“Obviously she should sleep on the floor. A little maid doesn’t get to sleep in Master’s bed!”
Mo Xiao immediately shouted inside Bai Yuan’s mind.
“I’ll bathe later. As for sleeping… wherever your little book spirit sleeps, I’ll sleep.”
A faint smile curved on You’s lips. That little dragon wouldn’t escape her grasp—tonight, she’d test her properly.
“What? If I sleep in the spirit space, are you planning to come in too? Dream on, loser!”
Mo Xiao instantly popped out from Bai Yuan’s chest, glaring straight into You’s calm, lifeless violet eyes.
“Well, if you’re not using the bed, then there’s space. I’ll just sleep with Bai Yuan. She won’t mind, right?”
You spoke casually, as if it were the most natural thing.
“You—! Go sleep on the sofa! You’re so small, it’s more than enough for you!”
Mo Xiao refused immediately. The last time You was unconscious, so she didn’t bother—but now? No way she’d let this unknown person sleep beside Bai Yuan.
“Um… stop arguing. We can all just sleep together.”
Bai Yuan, fed up, suggested sharing the bed. It wasn’t the first time anyway—they could squeeze in.
“No!”
“Not necessary. I quite like this little book spirit—let me sleep on the floor with her.”
Both rejected her suggestion at the same time.
“You think I’d believe that? You like me? Even ghosts wouldn’t buy that!”
“I… I believe it. Mo Xiao, you can sleep with You tonight. We even have bedding for the floor.”
Mo Xiao stared at her master in disbelief.
You actually believed that?!
What an idiot…
But Bai Yuan really did believe it.
After all, this wasn’t the first time You had said something nice about Mo Xiao.
She had praised her cooking before, and said she was interesting.
That must mean she liked her, right?
After all, even though Mo Xiao had insulted her multiple times, You had never gotten angry.
Meanwhile, when Bai Yuan hugged You before, she had reacted—but toward Mo Xiao, she was far more tolerant.
She really couldn’t understand what was so special about this little dragon.
