Join the ServerI turned my head, meeting her gaze calmly. Dragon Brother’s face contorted, her expression a volatile mix of disappointment and fury. She shrieked hysterically:
“You aren’t like this… We’ve forged a bond through life and death! Why are you treating me this way?”
“Is it because I’ve become a woman, and you think I can’t fight anymore? Are you just f*cking despising me now?”
I replied calmly: “What did you just say? Repeat it for me.”
Dragon Brother’s eyes widened, and she roared back: “I said, ‘my f*cking mom!'”
In the narrow alley, I watched Dragon Brother in silence. She glared at me, bristling like a startled cat.
‘A bristling cat? Was this truly the same person as the Little White Dragon of Zhujiang?’
As I looked at her, the person before me suddenly felt like a stranger.
This rebellious young woman, whom I’d only known for a few days, possessed a fiery figure. She wore an old tracksuit of mine, now too small for me, and her long white hair cascaded softly around her.
Her expression was one of utter despair, her breath coming in ragged gasps, like a child throwing a tantrum for a toy they couldn’t have. ‘Was this really the Little White Dragon? This must be a joke. Who exactly was this person?’
She continued to tremble.
I met her gaze and began to laugh: “Dragon Brother, take a guess: what have I been doing these past two days?”
“Someone invited me to a banquet, a clear trap, and I went without a word. For the entire meal, I swallowed my pride, calling him ‘young master’ in a subservient tone.”
“Before, outside the internet cafe, you inexplicably picked a fight, and I had no choice but to join in. And then what happened? Those thugs came looking for trouble, loitering outside the internet cafe every single day.”
“Those bastards carried knives, and I had to take a detour home every evening, knowing that if I was recognized, I might just get stabbed.”
“Then what? I was still ambushed by over thirty people. What did they have? Machetes, iron rods… And what the hell did I have? Mala Tang!”
“You were screaming you were hungry that day, and all I had were three portions of Mala Tang!”
“Today, I just stepped out for some takeout, and Xiao Xiu Sister’s shop was trashed. That woman barely makes a hundred a day, what the hell does any of this have to do with her? You want to guess?”
“Bai Hailong, you f*cking guess again: what does any of this have to do with me? Nothing! Absolutely nothing! It’s all because of you! Every single damn thing is because you go around stirring up trouble!” I roared.
Dragon Brother’s face grew increasingly pale, and the trembling in her shoulders intensified. I didn’t care anymore. A grim smile played on my lips as my curses grew increasingly vicious:
“What the hell am I getting out of this? Tell me! And then, what do you tell me? ‘Is it because I can’t fight anymore?’ Ha! Just f*cking get lost! Go to hell!”
“I was just helping a thug! A goddamn brawler! I don’t need any of this! I hate fighting! You can go be a security guard in some residential complex, and live your pathetic life as a hoodlum!”
“And another thing… living under someone else’s roof, can you at least pay attention to hygiene? Would it kill you to empty the ashtray?”
“I don’t even expect you to wash your clothes, but can you at least lift your ‘noble’ little foot and, while you’re in the bathroom, toss your underwear into the washing machine?”
“And you ask, ‘How could you treat me like this?’ What about me? Why are you doing this to me? Did I shit in your cooking pot in a past life? Tell me!”
Without taking a breath, I bellowed out all the grievances I’d accumulated over the past few days. It felt incredibly cathartic.
Dragon Brother’s trembling intensified. I spoke in a chilling tone: “You just need to reflect, you fu—!”
A powerful, enraged punch slammed into my face.
For an instant, it felt as if my entire jaw had exploded. A metallic, rusty taste immediately flooded my right gum.
My vision instantly blurred. I quickly threw my arms up to shield my head, managing only to clamp one hand tightly around Dragon Brother’s slender wrist.
Before I could even react, a ‘thump’ echoed, and a brutal knee strike slammed into my chest. The sensation in my chest wasn’t pain, but an instantaneous numbness. The force was so immense it nearly sent me flying.
Dragon Brother trembled, roaring: “You cursed me… You actually cursed me!”
Enraged by the blow, I glared back, roaring: “I’ll f*cking curse you! You stupid ass!”
Dragon Brother gritted her teeth, trembling violently. She clutched my hair tightly, and then another flash of white light erupted before my eyes.
I didn’t even see what happened. My abdomen felt instantly as if it had been struck by a truck, and I nearly vomited.
In less than two or three seconds, I had taken two solid, heavy blows. Gritting my teeth, I desperately clung to one of Dragon Brother’s legs.
As she struggled to maintain her balance, I swiftly extended my foot, delivering a sweeping kick that brought her crashing to the ground.
Dragon Brother, off-balance, fell to the ground. I scrambled behind her, attempting to choke her. The moment I had her in a hold, my right arm was effortlessly pried open, as if I were a toy.
A hand seized the inside of my arm, and my vision spun wildly once more. Suddenly, with a loud thud, my back slammed hard against the ground. The impact knocked the wind right out of me.
I let out a muffled groan, grimacing as I lay sprawled on the snowy ground. Before I could even recover, a small foot, clad in a pristine white sock, rapidly grew larger in my vision!
In that critical moment, my instincts saved my life.
Guided by a flash of intuition, I sharply tilted my head, narrowly evading the kick instead of instinctively raising my arm to block it.
That single kick completely shattered the layer of ice on the ground.
It wasn’t just a small indentation with spiderweb cracks; the entire ice sheet had exploded.
Given that power, if I had tried to block it with my arm, either my head would have exploded, or my arm would have shattered.
Roaring, I desperately clung to the foot planted on the ground, then seized her upper thigh. Dragon Brother slammed another punch onto my skull, jarring my brain.
I let out a pained howl, and with a surge of effort, I flipped her over. Fortunately, after she transformed into a woman, her weight had significantly decreased.
Dragon Brother was sent flying by my move, but she landed on one hand and, incredibly, executed a back handspring. I was utterly dumbfounded.
The moment her feet touched the ground, she charged at me again as if completely unharmed.
In that instant, I didn’t even see the punch coming. I only felt an intense jolt, as if a firecracker had exploded right next to my head.
When I regained my senses, I had already been thrown more than a meter away.
I scrambled to my feet, but my foot slipped as I stood, nearly sending me tumbling again.
As I struggled up from the ground, a pale leg swung in a perfect arc, hurtling directly towards the side of my face.
‘In that moment, a sudden thought flashed through my mind: I’ll buy her a goddamn skirt when we get home. Let’s see you kick then.’
At this point, the kick was unavoidable. This was the Zhujiang Saiyan’s most practiced killer move: the White Dragon Face-Shattering Punch, the Front Kick Tooth-Breaker, the Son-and-Grandson Severing Kick.
Never mind which was more potent; any one of them would land you in the ICU.
I clamped my arms tightly around my head, bracing for the impact of that kick. Simultaneously, my left arm instantly went numb; I couldn’t tell if it was broken or not.
By now, I was also driven mad. I roared, flailing wildly with ‘turtle-fist’ punches, but it was utterly useless. Every single one was dodged.
In less than three seconds, I took about four more hits, each impact sending my vision blurring to black.
My vision swam with darkness as I continued to shriek, wildly reaching out, desperate to grab her arm. But it was all in vain.
‘This was it. I was probably going to end up in the hospital today. The medical bills would likely be steep, easily consuming my entire month’s living expenses, at a conservative estimate.’
Just then, as I thrashed wildly, my hand clamped onto something, and Dragon Brother suddenly let out a pained grunt. Simultaneously, a powerful punch slammed into my face, though its force was noticeably weaker.
Finally, she was tiring! Hope surged within me, and I roared, unleashing several heavy punches. Dragon Brother, however, hastily blocked them all.
She stumbled backward in a panic, but her previous kicks had been so forceful that her shoes had been flung off somewhere.
The winter streets were still slick with ice. My face was swollen, and my eyes were mere slits.
I had gripped that ‘something’ so tightly, not letting go even when my hands were numb from lack of blood flow; that hand was practically useless.
Dragon Brother, still in her socks, retreated continuously. Suddenly, her foot slipped, and she fell backward.
Still clutching that ‘something’ tightly, I lost my balance and was pulled down with her fall, tumbling onto Dragon Brother’s body.
We both crashed together in a disoriented heap.
Seizing this unexpected opportunity, I scrambled to my feet. Dragon Brother struggled, landing several heavy punches on my chest, causing a fierce, dull ache even through my down jacket.
I closed my eyes and blindly thrashed, finally managing to grab both her wrists. I then flipped over, straddling Dragon Brother, and, with a bruised and swollen face, roared: “Do you submit?!”
Dragon Brother glared at me, panting heavily beneath my weight. Beads of sweat dotted her white hairline as she spat in defiance: “Hmph!”
I had been spat upon, my face covered in flecks of saliva, but I dared not release her wrists. I awkwardly wiped my face with my shoulder, then began to gasp for air, trying to recover my strength as quickly as possible, wary of any hidden moves Dragon Brother might still possess.
‘That previous back handspring had thoroughly unnerved me. I was terrified Dragon Brother might be holding back, perhaps knowing some MMA ground counter-techniques. I certainly didn’t want to be shoulder-thrown to my death.’
My entire body remained on high alert. Dragon Brother, however, stopped struggling altogether. Utterly exhausted, she lay pinned beneath me, gasping for breath, glaring resentfully off to the side.
Dragon Brother, however, stopped struggling. Exhausted, she lay beneath me, panting, and glared indignantly to the side.
I secretly let out a breath, remaining vigilant while wondering what round, heavy object I had grabbed earlier.
Upon closer inspection, a grimy, large claw print stood out glaringly on Dragon Brother’s right chest.
‘Forget it… For now, survival is paramount.’
